Well, we have finished up week 3 of our Day Camp at church. It was time for me to get to my craft room!!!
I have had this card idea in my head for most of the week and finally got to see if I could make it a reality. It came out pretty much as I kept picturing it. I hope you like it.
The sun is cut from Doodle Charms at 1 3/4". I cut my color blocks and placed them together on the cutting mat. Using the center point feature I placed the blade at the "intersection" of the 4 pieces and cut. The cute face is from Peachy Keen and the patterned paper is from K & Company.
The color blocks are pop-dotted and the sentiment stamp is from Michaels $1 bin.
I'm entering this card in the Getting Crickey Simply Sunday Face It Challenge and Fantabulous Cricut Summer Fun Challenge.
Thanks for stopping by and I hope you have a great weekend!

Cupcake card
So here is project number two! This is a super easy card. I made it to enter in the Cooking With Cricut challenge. In the pictures, the card looks kind of red, but it's actually a deep pink and the cupcake bottom is light pink. The challenge requires 2 shades of pink and a cake.
The card was made from the Doodlecharms cartridge card feature. The lace on the front is sticky back paper lace I bought from LTD Commodities a few years ago. The "icing" is cut from glitter paper and I ran the bottom of the cupcake through my paper crimper. The #1 is cut from George and a cute Peachy Keen face finishes it off. Super simple, but kind of cute! Thanks for checking in!

Mother's Day Card
Here is a Mother's Day card made with a digi stamp called "Ladybug Balancing Act" from Designed 2 Delight challenge. This blog will give you a free digi stamp each week if you use it to make a project and post it to their challenge. Very generous!
This is for my mother-in-law, who has 3 sons.
I can only imagine the scary situations a mom of 3 boys has come upon. :)
I love pop dots!
Little, simple finishing touches inside make a huge difference.
The card base is from Hobby Lobby; base paper is handmade paper from The Paper Studio; ladybug is cut from Doodle Charms; the sentiment tag cut from Gypsy Wanderings; the sun is from Life is a Beach with the face hidden with the Gypsy and a Peach Keen stamp instead; ribbon is from Michaels and the sentiment is computer generated.
I'll be entering this in these challenges:

When Life Brings Rain...
Dance in the Puddles!
This card base is from Hobby Lobby, the cardstock is some I've had in my stash forever, the paper flowers are also from my "had this forever" stash and I folded them in quarters to get the shape, size and fluffiness I was looking for. The ribbon is from Michaels and the little cloud stamp is from Studio G. The little girl is cut from Everyday Paper Dolls @ 1 1/2", the puddle and grass are from Create a Critter. The sentiment is my own and computer generated.
I'm submitting this card to the following challenges:

Baby Boy Card
I had so much fun making this card! I think this was the first time a card came to mind and it turned out just like I wanted it to!
The sketch for the layout is from the Peachy Keen Stamps Challenge. The paper is from K&Company. It's and 8 1/2" x 8 1/2" pad so I just took a sheet and folded it in half to make the card 8 1/2 by 4 1/4". The squares on front are cut at 1 1/2" and 1 3/4". The baby is from Everyday Paper Dolls, cut at 1 1/2", the tag is from Bags, Tags, Boxes and More, and all other cuts are from New Arrival. The moon and onezie are also cut and 1 1/2", the feet at 1" and the phrase at 3/4". I'll be entering this card in the Peachy Keen Stamps Challenge and I think I'll submit it to Provo Craft for a project spotlight. Wish me luck and thanks for stopping by!

Painting Nails Layout
The girls just love to paint their nails. They paint, remove, paint, remove and paint again. I finally had to make a 1 time rule to save my polish remover! Here is a layout I made of it. I just kind of liked the way it turned out.
"Stylin" is cut from Cindy Loo font at 1". The dolls are cut from Paper Doll Dress Up at 3". I used metallic gel pens to color the hat band and detail the dresses. The faces are Peachy Keen Stamps. The mat for the story is from Storybook. The papers are Nana's Kids. TFL!
