Fun, interactive Firetruck Card!!

Hi!  This week at My Sheri Crafts we are celebrating our little ones with the theme" Birthday Cards for a Child less than 13".

I made this fun card for my grandson's 5th birthday!

This is a Silhouette Cut.  The extra piece of ladder is supposed to be just glued to the side of the truck, but I cut little velcro strips and added them to the back of the ladder .....

...and on the back of the extension on the truck and look what you get:

He thought this was a pretty fun card!  I kind of agree with him!  :)

I hope you'll get creative & crafty and join us this week at My Sheri Crafts!

Patriotic Lantern

It's time for another fun challenge at My Sheri Crafts and Glenda has chosen "Happy 4th of July - Make a Patriotic card or project".  I used a Silhouette cut file to make a fun lantern

I used fiber twine to make a "chain" and ribbon to cover the top and bottom.

I used some of the extra stars to hand down inside the lantern.  It really needs something else, but I just don't know what to do yet.  I'll keep studying on that!  Meanwhile, you head on over to My Sheri and check out the rest of the teams great projects!

Never to Old for Cars

This week at Tuesday Throwdown we are sponsored by
https://shop.deedeesdigis.com/

and our theme is "Mr. Fix-It".  I know it's time for Father's Day cards, but since my husband and my Father-in-Law are neither on "Fix-It" men, I opted for a birthday card I could give someone else!  :P

I used our sponsor's digi "Classic Cars" for my card:

The image is colored with Spectrum Noir markers, the key came from a piece for jewelry making, and the wrenches are a Silhouette cut.  The little bolts I hand cut.

This sentiment came with the set, minus the parts in red.  I was making this card at a crop and had printed out the sentiment, then messed it up when I cropped the corners.  I couldn't reprint it there, so I hand wrote it.  Then that committed me to handwriting the inside to match!

Come on over to  Tuesday Throwdown and join us with your tribute to the "Mr. Fix-It" in your life!

A Roping Prize Framed Up

This week at My Sheri Crafts our challenge is to "Make a Masculine Card or Project".  I had a couple of pictures of Tim with his jacket he won at a roping a few years ago, so I fixed them up in a frame.

The little lasso is a sticker and the "Team Roping" at the bottom is a cut file I made from free clip art I imported in the Silhouette software.  I cut it from vinyl and put it on top of the glass.  Now I wish I had put it across the middle, where the two picture come together and put the lasso at the bottom.  Oh well..........!

I hope you'll join us at  My Sheri Crafts with your project!

Tuesday Throwdown Sketch Challenge

We have a sketch this week at Tuesday Throwdown!  It's a fun, super easy one, but a great base for fantastic cards!

Our sponsor this week is

I've used their image "Everyday Mikala Ann" for my card:

She's colored with Sprectrum Noir pens and mounted on a Silhouette circle cut.  I cut it twice and popped up one set from the other.  The banners are also Silhouette cuts and the stamp is from KAndrews.  A few gems complete the sketch and there you go!

I hope you'll head over to Tuesday Throwdown and check out all the great inspiration there and then throwdown with us!

Thanks for stopping by!

Simple Christmas

Hello all!  Are you ready for another Twisted Thursday challenge at The Outlawz!  I hope so 'cause here we go!

This month we are sponsored by :  http://www.etsy.com/shop/annesdigitalart

And our challenge this week is our usual "Anything Goes, with a Twist and the Twist is.......Anything Goes!!!"  That's right, it is TOTALLY anything goes!
The image is mounted on a Spellbinder's die and all the papers are scraps from my stash!  The poinsettia is one I had cut a couple of months ago and had left over.  I believe it's a Sillouhette cut.

Come on over and join us at The Outlawz, where you can find a challenge group for every day of the week!

Owl as Turkey Thanksgiving Card

Hi!  I hope you all are prepared for the COLD weather that we are expecting this week.  Sounds like a good time to stay in the craft room to me!

It's time for a new challenge at My Sheri Crafts today!  Sandy is hosting the challenge this week and she chose a theme of "It's Turkey Time!" - add a Turkey to your card/project."  I recently purchased this cute little Silhouette cut of "Owl Dressed As a Turkey" with this challenge in mind.  I think he's adorable!

I was a little disappointed though, that I couldn't get my machine to cut him out after printing.  I kept getting the message "Registration Failed".  I thought that meant it couldn't read the registration marks because the black ink was getting low, so I put in a new cartridge and the ink was nice and dark, but it still failed.  Any ideas from anyone????  So, I cut him out by hand.  Then I used a black marker around the edge.  I found this scrap of paper in my stash. I don't even know where it came from but I thought it was perfect for him!  I added an oval in a brown, marbled paper (another scrap) to help separate the ginghams a little bit, then popped him up with foam dots.  A little bit of orange burlap braided ribbon from Really Reasonable Ribbon with 3 brown flower brads and there you go!
I stamped a pretty "Happy Thanksgiving" inside, inked the edges, distressed the front a little with brown and he's ready for the holiday!

Please go over to My Sheri Crafts and check out all the great projects there, then join us!  Thanks for stopping by and I'll see you at MSC!

3D Christmas Lantern

Hey! I see I've just reached 100 followers!  So as soon as I get a picture of some goodies, I'll have a giveaway!  Keep watching for it!

It's time for a new challenge at Tuesday Throwdown!  We are  sponsored this time by the fantastic Creations by AR and our theme is "Something other than a card or tag".  I used the AR's cut file "Enchanted Lantern" to make a Christmas Lantern.

The poinsettia is a Silhouette cut file.  I think I made it plenty big, don't you?  I was making a smaller one, but tore it apart when I was tightening the brad in the middle and since I was running late getting my project posted, I just used the bigger one!  This cut file comes with 3 styles of lantern, so it's a really versatile file.  Be sure to go visit Creations by AR and see all the cool stuff!  Then be sure to check out all the beautiful inspiration from the DT and join us!

Thanks for stopping by!

"He Makes All Things Beautiful" Wedding card

Hi!  I made this card two weeks ago and failed to take a picture of it until last week, then I found it still in a draft form, just waiting patiently for me to get back to posting it.  I wasn't sure if I liked it and struggled with the layout of it, but I think I'm happy with the final product!

The couple diecut is from Silhouette, the circle diecuts are from Spellbinders and the stamp is from Just Rite.  I used a royal blue glitter paper and shiny gold foil paper.

I've entered these challenges:

Catch the Bug - Bingo:  circles, bling, texture
Eclectic Ellipu - Purplies - anything goes
The ABC Challenge blog - P is for Pearls(on the flower "bouquet"
The Crazy Challenge - die cuts or punches
613 Avenue Create - anything goes with option of party time (wedding)
The Outlawz - In the Good old Summertime (what says summertime better than a wedding in a gazebo?)

My First 3D Patriotic Project!

Hi!  I'me really excited to share this project with you!  I've not done very many 3D items......matter of fact I don't think I've made one like this before at all.......    Anyway... here is my first 3D project with my Silouhette Portrait!

I had so much fun with this!  It was a Silhouette die cutting file  of one star so I cut my first one, figured out how to put it together, then sized it down a bit and made another one, sized it down again and cut the 3rd one.  Then I figured out I should have put the twine through them before I put them together, but was able to reopen them enough to make it work.

This is hanging on my back door, which is the one we always use and it just makes me smile every time I go in or out that door!  I hope you enjoy it too!  Thanks for stopping by!

This project entered here:

Die Cuttin' Divas - I Vow To Thee My Country (used Silhouette star die cut file)
