Be Happy

I've rejoined The Outlawz Progressive Freebie Challenge and this month Gerda Stein is sponsoring with a sweet tiger image.  Here's my card:
I got to use up some scraps for this one and found some super cute cork stickers that I've had in my stash and forgotten about!  I've used tiny buttons for the juggling balls, also from my ages old stash, and colored the image with Spectrum Noir markers.

A Wobbly Penguin Birthday

This week at Twisted Thursday the twist is "Birthday Card"  Now how easy is that???    Our sponsor again is

I used their "Let It Snow" Penguin for my super simple card:

He's colored with Spectrum Noir alcohol markers.  The original stamp says "Let It Snow" above the penguin, but I just didn't use that and used him as a penguin who is super excited about a birthday....

and made him a wobble!  I made my own "action wobble" with fine wire and wrapped it around my needle nose pliers.  It works pretty well!  My grandson played with him while I got the rest of the card ready, so it's kid approved!  LOL

Come on over and join us for this super simple twist this week!

My First ATC!

Hello!  This week at The Outlawz Twisted Thursday our theme is "Anything Goes With A Twist" and the twist is "Artist Trading Cards"!  Our sponsor is the ever fabulous

I've never made an ATC before, so I was kind of intimidated by this oh-so-simple simple concept of a 2 1/2" x 3 1/2 " tag!  But, I did it!
I colored this cute "Hello Kitty" digi from our sponsor, then grabbed up some scraps of paper on my desk and went to town!  I have 2 pieces of embossed paper, the lavender base is embossed with an Embossabilities music note folder and the border is one that came with my last "Card Making and Paper Craft" magazine.  Gotta love those freebies!!!

I used the red feather because that fancy phone reminded me of those old, delicate, fancy phones in the old black and white movies and when I thought of that I thought of the feather boa house robes the ladies wore and those high heeled house shoes with the feathery puffs on them.  Funny what triggers your memories!

Come on over and check out all the fabulous inspiration from the rest of the team.  See you there!

Anything Goes at The Outlawz Twisted Thursday!

It's time for a new challenge at The Outlawz Twisted Thursday and this week our theme is Anything Goes with the Twist - Anything Goes!
We are sponsored once again by Bugaboo!

I made a simple oval card with Bugaboo's image "Bugaboo Brat Bugs" and paper scraps.  The scalloped oval is a Cricut Cut from "Elegant Edges".
For the card base, I enlarged the base cut of the oval, duplicated and welded.  I've used Spectrum Noir markers for coloring and Paper Studio flowers with gems.

Thank you for stopping by today!  Please join us over at The Outlawz, where there is a new challenge everyday!

An Elephant Never Forgets!

It's time for a new challenge at The Outlawz Twisted Thursday and this week our theme is Anything Goes with the Twist - A Fall Theme!
We are sponsored once again by Bugaboo!

I used one of their cute  Edward Pumpkins images to make a Thank You card:

Inside is stamped with "Thanks Bunches".

These papers have been in my stash from the beginning of time, I think!

This project is also a first for me---I used the pen in my Explore to write the font on the die cut all in one step!  Woohoo!  Another feature figured out!  LOL!

Come on over to The Outlawz and join us!

I hope you'll join us this week!

Little Cowboy Birthday card

Hello!   This week at The Outlawz Twisted Thursday our theme is Anything Goes with the twist "Add an Animal!".  We are sponsored this month by

I made a little boy's birthday card with our sponsor's image "BCFence"

He's colored with Spectrum Noir markers and I added a horse from Cricut's Create A Critter cartridge. They are mounted on a piece of burlap from Hobby Lobby  and then I added a Spellbinder's diecut to frame them.  The sentiment stamp is from "Will and Way" and I hand cut that piece with some decorative scissors.

I hope you'll join us this week.  This challenge should be another fun one!

Sweet Speedy Recovery Wish

Hey folks!   This week at The Outlawz Twisted Thursday our theme is Anything Goes with the twist "Add Flowers!"  We are sponsored this month by

I used our sponsor's image "Pretty Flower Girl" to make a sweet get-well card.

The image is colored with Spectrum Noir markers and mounted on a Cricut Cut doilie.   It doesn't show up very well, but there is also a strip of lace just above the label.  The sentiment stamp is from Son Light and stamped on a Cricut cut label.  I just inked up the first word for the outside and used the rest on the inside. The paper is from a freebie pack from a papercrafting magazine.  The flower is actually two different ones, both are from The Paper Studio.

I've finished the inside very simply, but it turned out kind of pretty!  I really like that paper!

Thanks for stopping by and I hope you'll join us this week!

Hello Sunshine!

Hello!   This week at The Outlawz Twisted Thursday our theme is Anything Goes with the twist "Fantasy!".  We are sponsored this month by

I've used our sponsor's cute "Umbrella Mouse" image this week.

The sentiment stamp is from Stambabilites.  Inside I used a marker with my Cricut Explore for the first time and wrote "I Miss You!"  Doesn't he look like he's missing his sunshine?  :-)

He's colored with Spectrum Noir markers, the paper was in my scrap stash and I added a few Recollections gems.

I hope you'll join us over at The Outlawz this week!

Hay There!

This month's Outlawz Freebie Progressive Challenge features an image from Blueberry Bear and I used him to make a general "Hello" card:

I was trying to figure out just what to do when a metal "Hay There" stencil fell out of a bin and then everything fell into place!  The image is colored with Spectrum Noir markers and mounted on a scrap of burlap then on a mat cut with Martha Stewart "punch around the page" punches.  The papers are scraps, too, and I used a white gel pen for the sentiment stencil.

Thanks for stopping by!

Family Campout

This week at The Outlawz Twisted Thursday, our twist is "Water Theme".   This gave me a great incentive to scrap a page of our family campout.

I used Cricut's "Life's A Beach" cartridge for most of the cuts.  The "Families are forever" is also a Cricut cut.  The background paper is part of a kit I bought years ago, from LTD I think.

I had trouble when I first laid this out, it just needed something and I couldn't figure out what.   I finally just glued it down and took pictures.   As  soon as I looked at the picture, I could see it.  This is the first pic:

Amazing what a difference it made to move a diecut over a few inches!

Hope to see you over at The Outlawz!

Little Fireman Step Card

This week at The Outlawz Twisted Thursday we are using the twist of "Step Cards" and we are sponsored by
 .
I haven't made a step card in awhile so I had to look for a template!

The little fireman digi is one that I won a little while back, but I have to find the company name again and give them a proper Thank You!   I'll be back with that later.  All the die cuts are Cricut cuts.  I think I need something taller in the back and I may still add something..... but for now, come on over to The Outlawz and join us!

This week at Twisted Thursday, our theme is "Anything Goes With a Twist" and our Twist is "Use Die Cuts!" How fun and easy is that?

We are sponsored by the fantastic

My daughter needed a "Going Away" card at work so I used cuts from Cricuts "Old West" cartridge to make one for her.

The "Good Luck" cut actually came from a different cartridge, I think. I found it through an image search.  Inside I used the Old West font and cut out "and Best Wishes" with brown vinyl.

Head on over to The Outlawz Twisted Thursday and see all the great inspiration there, then join us!

And our theme is, as always, Anything Goes with a Twist and this weeks Twist is Summer Time.

I used Sami Stamps' "Rose Bride" image to made a summer wedding card!

I really like this stamp, but I failed to check out who made it!  I'll look for that and update later.

The circle dies are from Spellbinders, the gazebo is a Cricut cut, paper is from The Paper Studio and the corner punches are a little blue punch with no name!  Thanks for stopping by, please come over and join us!

I love this new Paper Pack!

Oh I bought more paper!  I had sworn off buying anymore because I have so much, but when I saw this pack.....I broke!  But it was on sale at Hobby Lobby, so it was much easier to cave!
Item image    GORGEOUS!!!!!

This week at Twisted Thursday, our theme is "Anything Goes With a Twist" and our Twist is "Anything Goes!" That's right...it's totally Anything Goes this week!

We are sponsored by the fantastic

And here's my birthday card using a little sweetie from our sponsor:

She's colored with Spectrun Noir markers.  I didn't find a paper that matched the printed paper, so I used some Tim Holtz Antique Linen distress ink to make some!  That's what I used for the top layer of the tag and the mat for the (Spellbinders) die-cut.  The sentiment is a Cricut print and cut, but I don't know which cartridge.    I also added some little paper-quilled butterflies that I've had in my stash forever.  The package is gone, so I don't know who made them.

I hope you'll join us this week at The Outlawz Twisted Thursday!

Hello Outlawz and Friends!  This week at Twisted Thursday, our theme is "Anything Goes With a Twist" and our Twist is "Things With Wings"  We are sponsored by the fantastic

I've used their image "Touch of Class I" to make a general greeting card:

The butterfly background is a Cricut cut from the Paper Lace cartridge. I used two of a little larger mat cut, welded together for my card base.

I tied a double bow using black sheer ribbon and black ribbon with inlaid gold thread, topped off with a pretty glittered flower from The Paper Studio.

I hope you'll join us this week at The Outlawz Twisted Thursday!

As always, our challenges are "Anything Goes with a Twist".
This week's twist is "Father's Day or Nature".

I really liked this old cowboy from our sponsor!  I've colored him with Spectrum Noir markers and used up some scrap pieces of paper and burlap with a little rope to embellish it.  The "#1 dad" is a Silhouette cut, and I antiqued the paper with some Tim Holtz Distress Ink.

God Bless America Floating Frame

This week at The Outlawz Twisted Thursday we are sponsored by the fantastic  Sponsor Stitchy Bear

As always our theme is "Anything Goes with a Twist" and this week the twist is Music Inspired.
My project is inspired by the song "God Bless America" and I've used our sponsor's digi "Flag Girl"
in making a "Floating Frame".

The frame sentiment is cut from Cricut's |Stand and Salute cartridge, the background paper is a sheet of flag stationery.  I added some neat ribbon and some old earrings.  The picture is my dad in his WWII Navy uniform.
I'm really going to enjoy hanging this one up this year as we celebrate our nation's freedom and my dad's contribution to it!

Come on over and join us this week!

Anything Goes at Twisted Thursday!

This week at The Outlawz Twisted Thursday, our theme is the regular Anything Goes With a Twist and this weeks twist is...Anything Goes!  We are sponsored this week by

I used the freebie from The Outlawz Freebie Progressive Challenge, sponsored by Pinky Dolls to make my card.

I think she is really cute!  The embossing folder is from Darice, the ribbon and the wreath brad were in a box of stuff I bought at a yardsale.

Thanks for stopping by and I hope you'll join us this week!
