"New Addition" at Tuesday Throwdown

Hi Folks!  Time for another new challenge over at Tuesday Throwdown.  This week we are sponsored by All Dressed Up and our theme is "New Addition".
https://www.etsy.com/shop/alldressedupstamps
I've used our sponsors image " A Star Is Born" for my baby congratulations card:

The image is colored with Spectrum Noir pencils and cut out with a Spellbinder's die and mounted on a negative piece of a Cricut cut that I kept just for this type of thing.  The ribbon is from Offray, the pins have been in my stash for years, but I think they're from Spare Parts Embellishments (maybe) and the paper is from a paper pad I received as a prize a couple of years ago from Amy at Love To Craft.  The inside sentiment is a Stampabilities rubber stamp.

Thanks for coming by, please let me know you've been here and then come join us at Tuesday Throwdown!

Go Wild Cat!

OK, the internet at my new house and I are going to have it out soon!  It's been fine, then it's sloooooowwww, then it's fine and when I came home from work Friday---the router was completely dead!  It had been malfunctioning for over a week and I had talked to the phone company and was assured a new router was on it's way, should be here Tuesday.  So Friday I told them the router was dead and where is my new one?  Their answer...."Well Ma'am, the operator didn't actually complete the order so it was never sent to you."  UGGGGHHHH!   So now it's supposed to arrive today, so we will see if UPS left it for me when I get home.  No internet all weekend, so I'm using a little down time at work to get this posted.  But I'm wondering this:  if I called the first time on Thursday and the earliest I could receive it was Tuesday, how come I can call on Friday and receive it on Monday????

OK, another rant over.....

So here's my card for our new challenge at My Sheri Crafts.  It was my turn to come up with the theme and since the Olympics start this week, I thought we needed to make something Sports Related.(any sport)

We had a week of Rodeo Bible camp, then a week of daycamp at work and I haven't been in my craft room for waaaayyy too long, so I pulled out a card I made a while back but never had posted.  This cut is from Cricut's Sports Mania cartridge.

The "Go Wild" a partial Cricut cut and "Cat" is welded type I added.  I actually made this one on my Gypsy a couple of years ago.

Thanks for allowing me to use an old project this week!  My summer commitments are slowing down now, so I should be able to get back in my craft room...now if the internet just works!

Thanks for stopping by!

"Happy Birthday" at Tuesday Throwdown

Hi Crafty Bloggies!  Today starts a new challenge at Tuesday Throwdown and we are sponsored by
http://www.winniewalter.com/Winnie & Walter and our theme is "Happy Birthday".

I've used "The Big, the Bold and the Happy" clear stamp set from our sponsor.
I removed "birthday" and "happy", inked up the whole set with black to make my background, then inked up the two words in a deep pink and added them back onto the page.  The burlap flower is from The Paper Studio (I think!) and I tied a double bow from sheer ribbon.

A simple finish on the inside and you can see the dimension on the front.

Thanks for stopping by and I sure hope you'll check out all the great DT inspiration over at Tuesday Throwdown, then join us!  See you there!

Sprinkles of Fun!

Hi!  I've had quite a rough time trying to get this post made!  My internet works (somewhat) at home, but is SOOOOOO very slow this weekend.  I got my card uploaded to My Sheri Crafts in time, thankfully, but since then I can't seem to get anything done.  It took about 15 minutes to get the picture to upload for my blog post, but then it NEVER did actually go into the post!  So I thought I would email it to my self at work, but then of course my email wouldn't send.  I finally had to take new pictures and bring the card to work and upload it again!  So now I'm 3 days late!  Ugh!!

OK, Rant over!

We have a new and super fun challenge at My Sheri Crafts this week!  Glenda has challenged us to us Ice Cream on our card or project.

This ice cream cut is from Cricut's "Sweet Treats" cartridge and the doily is from Cricut's "Lovely Floral".  I used the print feature on the Cricut for the sentiment and the paper is from a 4x6 pad from Die Cuts With a View.

Thanks for stopping by and I hope to see you at My Sheri Crafts!

One Layer at Tuesday Throwdown

Oh boy, I missed it!  I had this post almost ready to go, just needed the sponsor info and I got busy with our Rodeo Bible Camp and didn't get it done!  I apologize to my Tuesday Throwdown team!!!

This week we are sponsored by our own DT sister, Kim Sherrod of
and our theme this week is One Layer!

I've used 2 digis from Digi Darla Stamps and lightly colored them with Spectrum Noir markers.  I wanted more of a hint of color rather than a "colored" image, so I used all #1 shades in True Blue, Coral, Ice Gray and Pale Pink, and Tan #3 for the branch.

The inside is lined with a pale blue onionskin type paper.  The scripture stamp is from Cardztv and the Congratulations stamp is from Pink By Design.

Thanks for stopping by!  Hope to see you join us!

Too Cute to Pinch!

It's another Saturday, which means another new challenge at My Sheri Crafts!  This time Sue has challenged us with "Down at the Beach" -  make something with a beach or seaside theme.  With the temperatures they're predicting for us next week, I'm going to wish I was at the beach!!

I used a card cut from Cricut's "Life's A Beach" cartridge for my card this week.  These make really cute, quick and easy cards.

The sentiment is computer generated, I just wanted a little rhyme for a my new Zippy Zebra buddy who is very young.  I added a little fuzzy yarn to his mouth, thinking it would just make it show up better, but it looks kind of like a mustache! I added the fuzzy bric-a-brac ribbon because I thought it kind of looked like waves and the stickers are some I bought at Dollar General years and years ago when I first started scrapbooking.  I finally was able to throw away the sheet!

Thanks for stopping by and I hope you'll join us this week!  See you there!

I've entered this card here:
