A Shiny Mandela Flower

Good morning!  We start another fun challenge today over at Tuesday Throwdown!  Our theme is Glimmer and Shine. This week we have a new sponsor, and I love their stuff!
Studio Katia has beautiful stamps and embellishments!  Today I have a fun card to share using their Mandela Flower stamp for the image, the sentiment is from their Blooming Bunch set, the bling is from their Crystal Rainbow Confetti and Crystal Rainbow Fusion.  (I tried to use all the colors included in the bling sets.  They're so fun!)

.  This picture doesn't do the colors justice.

I colored the image with Spectrum Noir pencils and added a strip of shimmery yellow ribbon.  The lavender mat is glitter cardstock, for just a little more shine!

Now, who doesn't want to play with bling this week?!?  Get to sparkling and come join us!

A Rainbow Zebra

Hello!  Today is another new challenge at Tuesday Throwdown.  We are sponsored this week by "Your Next Stamp" and they have the cutest stamps!

I've used their stamp set "Jungle Critters 2" for my card:

I've stamped the zebra 3 times.  The first layer is on the card base, the second and third were on a separate piece of scrap and I've hand cut them out, the third layer is just his face and both layers are mounted with pop dots so he really stands out with some dimension.  He's colored with Spectrum Noir markers.

The sentiment stamp is part of the set and the little dots are sparkly Gumdrops available from our sponsor.

Thanks for stopping by and I sure hope you'll join us at Tuesday Throwdown!

Congrat-EWE-lations

Time for another new challenge at Tuesday Throwdown!  This week our sponsor is  and I've used their "Birthday Ewe Trio".  For a fun little twist, I made it a congrats card instead of birthday.

The image is colored with Spectrum Noir markers and mounted on some Colorbox polka dot paper.  The label is 2 different Cricut cuts layered together and tied on with twice.  The stars are some OLD metal ones I've had in my stash for ages.

Thanks for stopping by!

Being A Big Brother

It's time for another new challenge at Tuesday Throwdown!  This week our sponsor is http://www.mygrafico.com/digital-stamps/cat_95.html

and our challenge theme is "Real Life Heroes.  I've used our sponsor's images "Super Hero #3" and "Spotlight" for my card:

The images are colored with Spectrum Noir markers and I've cut out the Hero and mounted him with foam dots.  The sentiment is one I read online and typed up.  The blue paper is some I've had in my stash for years and years.  It looked like the perfect match for the images and I didn't feel like it needed any more embellishments for a little boy.  I've made this for one of my little Zebra Buddies who is going to be a big brother soon.

Bullseye Valentine

I finally got my last Valentine done for this year, and then failed to get it posted!  Here's my Bullseye the Horse Valentine...

and I made him a wobbler!

Inside I used the writing feature for my sentiment:

The card base is from Cricut's "French Manor" and I added a scallop frame cut from "Gypsy Wanderings", a basic heart shape from the Design Space shapes and of course, Bullseye from "Toy Story".  This really came out cute and I had a lot of fun with him, especially after I added the googly eyes!

Thanks for stopping by!

Sticky Note Cover

Hi!  I'd like to share a new project with you.  I bought several of the sticky note pads at Michaels a year or two ago and they've been in my project drawer all that time!  I needed a little gift and decided it's high time to fix one of these.
This is a different pad than I used in this particular projects, but it's the same style.  I started by trimming the cardboard backing as close to the pads as I could.
My first try I used a piece of a recycled cereal box but once I covered it and lined the inside, it was too thick and stiff.  So this time I just used two layers of cardstock and lined the inside with a patterned paper.

The lady I'm giving this to likes seashells.  I looked and looked for the right paper in my stash and finally found some that a friend had given me.  I cut a seashell from Cricut's Mermaid Party and added that to the corner.  A small strip of white velcro finished it off.  I have some tiny, real seashells that I kind of wanted to add to the flap, but decided that would be too thick and make it less handy to keep in her purse.  I'm pretty satisfied with the end result...I hope she will be, too!  I think I'll try some more of these.

Thanks for stopping by!
