Fun little Ice Cream Birthday Card

Hi!  Thanks for coming by to see me.  Today I have a cute little card to share with you.  I used a pink A2 card base from my stash and added a bright piece of print party paper.

The tag is cut with my Cuttlebug and tag die.  The sentiment is from Pink By Design, Take the Cake set.  The ribbon is from my stash.          All edges are inked with a red stamp pad.

This ice cream cone is cut from Doodle Charms.  The ice cream part is cut from glitter paper and I added red stickles for "topping" and a red "cherry" button.

This was another fun card, and fairly simple.  I hope you like it, please leave me a comment.  I hope you have a wonderful day--it's almost the weekend!  God bless you!

My Sheri Crafts Challenge #90

I Scream, You Scream, We All Scream For Ice Cream!!!!

Did you know that July is National Ice Cream Month?  Hooray for July, right?!!!  Over at My Sheri Crafts we are celebrating National Ice Cream Month by using Ice Cream on our projects.  Here is the card I made:

Isn't that fun!?!?!
I started with a bright yellow card base from Wal-Mart and added a strip of scrap paper from DCWV Nana's Kids pack.  The ice cream cones are from the Doodle Charms cartridge, border function, 2 sets.  I chalked up the "cones" with brown chalk and use my Cuttlebug to emboss the ice cream with swirls.  The buttons are from Wal-Mart and the purple lace strip is a gift from a sweet, generous friend.

The sentiment is computer generated and printed on Saf-Mat clear sticker paper.

The Saf-Mat is fun to work with because it almost disappears on the card, making it look like you printed right on the card.

I pop dotted the cones so there is LOTS of texture on this card.  I really like how it turned out and hope you do, too.  Please let me know what you think!

Hop on over to My Sheri Crafts and check out all the DT inspiration along with our winning Guest Designer, Mary from My True Blue Creations!  Then join us this week for a super fun challenge!  Can't wait to see your creations!

Happy Birthday My Sheri Crafts!!!

My Sheri Crafts is turning 2!  We are celebrating with a new challenge.  Let's do fun birthday projects (cards, invites, favors, party decor) for toddlers or kids under 5. Bright colors, balloons, cupcakes....NO elegant cards...FUN, FUN, FUN!!!

I decided to go with a tri-fold card:

The papers are from Bo Bunny, the font is from Disney Pooh Font and welded with my Gypsy.

This cute little baby "Tigger" is also from Disney Pooh Font, the balloons and cupcake are from Doodlecharms.
The pictures don't really show how soft and pretty the card is.  The pink shows up kind of flourescent.  I'm not much of a photographer, which you can tell if you can see the date on the pictures.  Really, I just made this card, but I can't seem to get the date set on my camera and keep it there!

Anyway.....thanks for coming by and now I hope you'll jump on over to My Sheri Crafts and check out all the team's projects.  Then join us with your fun kids birthday projects!  I hope to see you there!

Popsicle Birthday

Wow, its' HOT in SW Missouri!!!!  We are taking the RV (and the grandkids) to the local state park this weekend and boy am I ready!  I'm headed to the water, quickly!

I had a little time to spend in the craft room today and here is the card I made.
The more I looked at it, the more I thought the popsicle was kind of blah, so I decided to try out the Glossy Accents that I recently bought and never tried.  So then it became this:

I like that better!  But I do need to practice on getting it smooth.
This patterened paper is from Anna Griffin, Isabelle stack.  I love her double sided paper.  I cut a 4 1/4" x 12" piece, so it makes a 4 1/4 x 6" card.
I used pop-dots of course!

The popsicle is cut from Doodlecharms at 2 1/2" and I used a scrap of K & Co. paper.  The circle is from George & Basic Shapes at 2 3/4" and I used a scrap of glitter paper.  I wrote "Have A SWEET Birthday" around the circle with a American Craft Slick Writer.  Those are cool markers!  You can write on anything slick with them.

I finished out the inside with more scraps and of course all the edges of everything has been inked.

I'm entering this card in these challenges:

Fun Sun Card

Well, we have finished up week 3 of our Day Camp at church.  It was time for me to get to my craft room!!!

I have had this card idea in my head for most of the week and finally got to see if I could make it a reality.  It came out pretty much as I kept picturing it.  I hope you like it.
The sun is cut from Doodle Charms at 1 3/4".  I cut my color blocks and placed them together on the cutting mat.  Using the center point feature I placed the blade at the "intersection" of the 4 pieces and cut.  The cute face is from Peachy Keen and the patterned paper is from K & Company.

The color blocks are pop-dotted and the sentiment stamp is from Michaels $1 bin.

I'm entering this card in the Getting Crickey Simply Sunday Face It Challenge and Fantabulous Cricut Summer Fun Challenge.

Thanks for stopping by and I hope you have a great weekend!

Belated Birthday cards

I finally completed the cards for the birthday I missed.  Yes, cards plural.....it was a birthday for twins in my Sunday School class, so I had to make two!  So here is the card for the little boy...

I forgot to take the pictures BEFORE I wrote in the card :p !   I wish that I had placed a sun on the front of this one, but I've already delivered it, so too late now!  All images are all from Paper Dolls for Everyday and the font is from Ashlyn's Alphabet.  Sorry about the shadows on the pictures.

And here is the card for the little girl...

I used my Gypsy and the Create a Critter cartridge to weld two of the skunk blackout features at 4", one upside down to make the card base.   Then I cut the skunk at 4".  I used the "hide" feature to crop the face, as it was smiling brightly.  The cupcake is from Doodlecharms cut at 1 1/2".  I decorated it freehand.  The sentiment is printed with Cricut markers and the Pooh font cartridge.

Yesterday I spent all day at the choir district contests.  The kids did really well overall, 9 soloists and ensembles qualified for state competition!  Kudos to all the kids for their hard work!

That's about it for this REALLY WINDY Sunday, thanks for stopping by!
