"Oh Happy Day" Sliding Card

Today I have a sweet little card to share with you for our new challenge at Tuesday Throwdown.  This week we are sponsored by Lawn Fawn and our theme is "Interactive Card".

This isn't the card I had originally planned, but it's what I ended up with and I think it came out kinda cute, so it worked out after all!  It has 2 slides, just for added fun.  lol

Our awesome sponsor provided some of their sweet product for us and I used their "Hello Sunshine" set.  I received a set of clear stamps and dies to cut out all the shapes.  I loved this set!!!  Thank you Lawn Fawn!!!!

I hope you'll join us!

Green Hope Ribbon

Hello!  This week at Tuesday Throwdown we are sponsored by  All Dressed Up
https://www.etsy.com/shop/alldressedupstamps and our theme is "For A Cause".
I know October is Breast Cancer Awareness Month, but I kind of wanted to give a little attention to some other cause.  I looked on the Awareness Ribbon Color Chart and found that the Green Ribbon covered MANY causes, including Mental Health and Mental Illness. I chose this because I've just recently learned the "rest of the story" of a sweet little boy my friends adopted who occasionally had behavior problems.  Those behaviors became more extreme and more frequent.  They finally had to place him in a facility to get help.  They found this poor little boy had been so abused in his early childhood that he had developed 15 different personalities!  FIFTEEN!  Imagine the horrible things he endured to cause this issue.  Thankfully, he is getting the help he needs, but imagine all the people who can't pay for this treatment.

Anyway, here is my card:

I used our sponsor's image "Oriental Girl" and colored her with Spectrum Noir markers.  The ribbons are a Circut cut.  The top floral paper is a scrap and the name is gone.  The bottom paper is a Cricut print.

I felt it needed a little bling, but no more busyness, so I used Glitter Gel Pens to highlight the ribbons and various places on the image.

So thanks for stopping by and hearing a little bit of my heart.  I hope you'll join us with your projects and your cause!

Color Inspiration at Tuesday Throwdown

Good morning!  This week at Tuesday Throwdown we are sponsored by

and we have a color inspiration challenge.

Recently I dug out all of my 6x6 and 4x6 paper, stacked it up and resolved to use it!  I actually found a sheet in that stack with all of these colors in it!

The image is from our sponsor and called "Perfect Poppies".  These colors look so much better in real life!

Pretty simple, but sweet.  Thanks for stopping by!

A Panda Hello

Good morning!  It's time for another sweet challenge at Tuesday Throwdown!  This week our theme is "Crop Your Image" and we are sponsored by
 https://www.etsy.com/shop/KittyBeeDesign

I've used our sponsor's cute "Winter Panda" for my card.  Here is the original digi:
and here is my card with the cropped image:

I didn't do any coloring this time and used papers with lots of color.  The sentiment is made with the Write and Cut feature of the Cricut Explore, then mounted on "Doyley Circles", Cricut cuts. from The First Few Years cartridge.  The paper is from Studio 18 and the ribbon is from American Crafts.

Thanks for stopping by and I hope to see you join us this week!

A Shiny Mandela Flower

Good morning!  We start another fun challenge today over at Tuesday Throwdown!  Our theme is Glimmer and Shine. This week we have a new sponsor, and I love their stuff!
Studio Katia has beautiful stamps and embellishments!  Today I have a fun card to share using their Mandela Flower stamp for the image, the sentiment is from their Blooming Bunch set, the bling is from their Crystal Rainbow Confetti and Crystal Rainbow Fusion.  (I tried to use all the colors included in the bling sets.  They're so fun!)

.  This picture doesn't do the colors justice.

I colored the image with Spectrum Noir pencils and added a strip of shimmery yellow ribbon.  The lavender mat is glitter cardstock, for just a little more shine!

Now, who doesn't want to play with bling this week?!?  Get to sparkling and come join us!

A Rainbow Zebra

Hello!  Today is another new challenge at Tuesday Throwdown.  We are sponsored this week by "Your Next Stamp" and they have the cutest stamps!

I've used their stamp set "Jungle Critters 2" for my card:

I've stamped the zebra 3 times.  The first layer is on the card base, the second and third were on a separate piece of scrap and I've hand cut them out, the third layer is just his face and both layers are mounted with pop dots so he really stands out with some dimension.  He's colored with Spectrum Noir markers.

The sentiment stamp is part of the set and the little dots are sparkly Gumdrops available from our sponsor.

Thanks for stopping by and I sure hope you'll join us at Tuesday Throwdown!

We're Watercoloring!

Hello Bloggies!  It's Team A's turn again over at Tuesday Throwdown and this week we're sponsored by our own Design Team Sister, Crafty Girl!
http://stitchybearstamps.com/shop/index.php?main_page=index&cPath=13_114  Our theme this week is "Watercoloring".  Now there's something I haven't done in a long time!  I broke out the old watercolor paintset I found in my Mom's craft supplies when we cleaned out the house after Dad passed away.  Now, my Mom passed away back in 1993, so you can just imagine how old these paints are!

Anyway, here's my card:

I've used Crafty Girl's "Barbed Cross" image and painted it.  I used the paints to distress it and then painted up a piece of scrap paper.  I used a Spellbinders Die on that piece to mat the image.  The background papers are scraps from my stash.  I added a strip of brown mesh ribbon and bow to complete it.

Thanks for stopping by and I hope you'll join us this week!

I've entered this card here:

"I Call on The Lord" Easel Card

Looking at my draft posts, I found this one that I never posted.  It was a DT card so I've edited the post.  I don't know why I never got it online, but here it is now.

I've used an image from The Stamping Boutique called "Blanket Flower"

I colored the image with Spectrum Noir markers, then inked up the edges and mounted it on a Spellbinder's oval.  The card base is Cricut's "Folk Art Tulip Card" and I welded a square over all the fancy cuts to get a plain base.  The papers are from Die Cuts With a View "Pocket Full of Posies" 6x6 pad.  The bow is my first hand-tied triple bow!

The inside sentiment I made with the Write then Cut feature.

This scripture sentiment is from Just Rite's "Cast All Your Cares" stamp set.

I love how this one turned out and it's going to a good friend who is going through a rough patch right now.

Thanks for stopping by!

SUCH CUTE IMAGES!!!!

I've used our sponsor's image "Anita and Her Unicorn" for my card:

I've colored the image with Spectrum Noir markers.  The little unicorn's horn is colored with a gold sparkle gel pen.  The clouds are a Cricut cut and the blue paper is a Cricut "print and cu"t paper.

Be sure to check out all the great inspiration over at Tuesday Throwdown and then join us!

Hello!  I'm so glad you stopped by.  Today at Tuesday Throwdown our new challenge is sponsored by the awesome Bugaboo Stamps and our theme is Punches  and/or Diecuts.

I've used both on my card:

I've used our sponsor's sweet image "Flower Bird", a circle doilie die from Spellbinders, a fern die and a flower die that are Cricut cuts and a border punch from Fiskars.

The image is colored with Spectrum Noir markers and the background paper is from K & Co.

Embossed Copper

Hello!  Last time it was Team A's turn to post on Tuesday Throwdown, I was so covered up with life that I had to skip.  So it seems like it's been months since I've posted!

This week our sponsor is
http://digitaldelightsbyloubyloo.com/ and our challenge theme is "Add Metal".

So here's my take with our sponsor's image "Steampunk Tasha":

I've had a roll of thin copper sheeting for something like forever and finally thought this would be a fun way to use some of it.  The diecuts were all in my spare parts box (sweet!).  The black doilie is a Spellbinder's die, the white piece on it is the negative cut from a Cricut "ready to make" card and the green label is a Cricut label cut in half.  My image is colored with Spectrum Noir markers then fussy cut and the paper is a piece from a Paper Studio sheet.  The "hello" stamp is from Winnie & Walter's "The Big, the Bold and the Happy" set.

This was really a fun card to make and I hope you like it!  Thanks for stopping by and be sure to check out all the other great projects over at Tuesday Throwdown!

I've entered this card here:

Black and White + One

Oh my gosh!  It just dawned on me today that I never got my post up for the past Tuesday Throwdown Challenge!  Now that it's almost over, here's my card!

Our theme is "Black and White with one other color" and our sponsor is MHK Designs.  I used digi paper, rocker image and sentiment all provided by our sponsor.

Bg apology to my teammates at Tuesday Throwdown for being so neglectful!

One Layer Cards are Kinda Hard?

This week's challenge at Tuesday Throwdown is "One Layer" and we are sponsored by

I had a much harder time with this challenge than I thought I would.  "One Layer" sounds so easy!  But once I printed out my image, I thought "Now what???"  I wanted to use ribbon or diecuts or something!

So I used a Martha Stewart Punch Around The Page border punch and a little glitter and called it good.  So I guess it really is easy, after all!

Thanks for stopping by!  Have a great week and join us!

Creative Borders at Tuesday Throwdown

Good Morning!  This week at Tuesday Throwdown we are sponsored by
and our theme is "Creative Borders".  I've used a sweet stamp set from our sponsor called "Friends and Family" for my card.

I really like this stamp set, it's pretty versatile.  The background paper is a freebie from "Cardmaking and Papercrafting" magazine.  and my "Creative Border" is a cute picket fence from Cricut's Ribbons and Rosettes cartridge on Design Studio Access.  To finish it off I added a little butterfly sticker and set some gems with my Gemsetter from Imaginisc that I haven't used in years!  It was fun to pull that back out and remind myself of the fun tool I have.  (Not that I'm hoarding tools and supplies, or anything like that!)  lol

Thanks for stopping by.  Come on over to Tuesday Throwdown and check out all the great projects there, then join us!

The Old Tractor

Hello!  Today I have another Design Team card to share for Tuesday Throwdown.  We are sponsored this week by

and our theme is "Texture".

I used our sponsors image "The Old Tractor", precolored, for my card:

I used a piece of burlap for the background texture and knotted a piece of twine to look somewhat like barbed wire. I tore the edges of the image and used distress ink.  The wheat is a Cricut diecut.  It's from the "Botanicals" cartridge.

Now for my reality........

I see a little problem here!  Oh well, I just cut off the front and glued it to another card. Right side up this time!

Thanks for stopping by and, as always, I hope you'll join us at Tuesday Throwdown!

Dance To The Music of Your Dreams...

Hello!  It's Tuesday and you know what that means...a new challenge at Tuesday Throwdown!  This week we are sponsored by
                                            https://www.etsy.com/shop/KittyBeeDesign
and we have a sketch for your inspiration:

I've used our sponsor's image "Love Bug 5" for my card for one of my Zippy Zebra buddies:
I've colored the image with Spectrum Noir pencils and mounted it onto a Spellbinders Die.  The background paper is from the latest Cardmaking and Paper Crafts Magazine freebie.   The flower brads are some golden oldies I've had in my stash since I started scrapbooking...which was before I started cardmaking...which was before I started blogging...so they're OLD!

Inside I've used a sentiment stamp from Stampabilities and on the left is a sticker.

I love this sentiment: "Dance to the music of your dreams; the steps will bring you joy."  I found this in my "Sentiments" folder and I know it was a magazine freebie, but I'm not sure which one.  I think it was Cardmaker Magazine.

Thanks for stopping by!  Please go by and check out all the great inspiration at Tuesday Throwdown!

A Koala Hello

Well, I'm late sharing my DT project for Tuesday Throwdown again, but this time it really isn't my fault!  We took a lightening strike to the phone lines in our area and I have been without phone or internet for about 10 days!  So here is my card that is made completely with diecuts I had set back in my "tidbits" box (diecuts I made and then decided not to use on that project)  They are all Cricut cuts, but I can't tell you where they came from.

The theme at Tuesday Throwdown this week is "Tropical Critters" and we are sponsored by http://www.mygrafico.com/digital-stamps/cat_95.html

I really like this cute little koala!  I've printed it twice, colored it with Spectrum Noir markers and used a second layer on her face and hands.  You can't really see it in this picture, but it has some nice dimension.  The background paper doesn't show up very well, but it has little hula girls all over it. and says "Aloha".

I'm going to enter these challenges this week:

Creative Craft Cottage - Dies or Punches
Crafting By Designs - Anything Goes

You're One Cool Chick!

http://samistamp.blogspot.com/Hello!  It's time for a new challenge at Tuesday Throwdown.  This week we are sponsored by Sami Stamps and our theme is "Add Dimension".  This is going to be a fun one|!!!

I've used our sponsor's image "Little Miss Feather Chick" for my card.  What a cute image!

She's colored with Spectrum Noir markers and I've added some of my favorite---Sheer Ribbon ---with a Gem slide from The Paper Studio and a feather from my stash.  I've colored and cut a second hat to add another layer of dimension.  The background paper is

some I've had in my stash for a long time.  There's no name on the back of the paper so I'm guessing it came from a pad and is probably from Die Cuts With a View.

This is another card for one of my Zippy Zebra Buddies and inside it says "You're One Cool Chick!"

Thanks for stopping by and I hope you'll join us this week!

A Friend Card in Black & White

Good morning!  I'm sharing a card today that I made using the sweet Bugaboo image "Friend Flower Doodle" that we received in the Freebie/Progressive challenge at The Outlawz.  I thought this would look great as a black and white card.  After putting it together, I love how it worked!

Isn't that a neat image?  It's great when it's colored in, too!  Fun one to work with.  Thanks Bugaboo!

I'm entering a few challenges today...haven't done that for awhile!

January Freebie/Progressive Challenge

Well, after a full week of no phone or internet, I'm finally back!  Thank goodness for being able to schedule posts so I had my last DT post ready!  (And thank goodness I didn't wait until the last minute again for that one!)

We've had a busy week at the ol' homestead here.  We had fence builders (who hit our phone line), tree trimmers/cutters and the phone company all to deal with this week.  Plus it was the week for the hubster's treatment and doctor visit, I'm taking my MIL to physical therapy twice a week (she had a knee replacement) and I had to work 3 evenings this week to get team pictures for our basketball/cheerleading program!  And I still managed to complete a card......just one card.  LOL!

Anyway, this card is for the Freebie/Progressive challenge over at The Outlawz.

The image is colored with Spectrum Noir markers, the border punch is from Martha Stewart, the doilie and the punch are sprayed with Glimmer Mist.   The gems are from The Paper Studio and the corner punch is also Martha Stewart.

Oh, and I forgot to mention that one of our horses busted through one of our BRAND, SPANKING NEW fences!!!!!   Ughhhh!!!!  Well, it's been a good weekend so far, though!

Thanks for stopping by!
