Webbed Gate Card

http://www.disdigistamps.com/This week at Tuesday Throwdown we are sponsored by Di's Digi Stamps and our theme is "Webbed Wished - Use a Spider Web".

I had this fun image from Sasayaki Glitter already colored in my stash so when I found this cool Spider Web Gate in the Cricut Design Space, I knew what I wanted to do!

This gate is in Cricut's October 31st cartridge.  The font for Wyatt is A Frightful Affair.

I love that!  The monsters have arrived to Trick or Treat!
And then I found this card base in my stash that I had done last year and never used.  It's made with the writing feature of the Cricut.

Super quick and easy when you find these things in your stash!  Hahaha!

Thanks for checking in.  I hope you'll join us for this fun challenge!

I've entered this card here:

Aud Sentiments - funny sentiment (inside)

What's More "Up In The Air" than aHalloween Broom?

Hello there!  It's Tuesday again and that means another fun challenge at Tuesday Throwdown!  This week we are sponsored by our very own  Crafty Girl and our theme is "Up In The Air"
.                                              http://stitchybearstamps.com/shop/index.php?main_page=index&cPath=13_114

I thought this image from Crafty Girls was so cute for my first Halloween card of the year!

I colored the image with a combination of Spectrum Noir pens and gel pens.  Again, I got to use up scraps of paper, even the black glitter paper!  Then I added some fun sequins from Studio Katia.  The "Boo" is a Cricut cut, made twice and offset with a little faux stitching with an orange gel pen.  I'm really not very good at that!  lol   Can't keep them even.  Oh well, I like the card anyway!

Thanks for stopping by and I hope you'll join us!

Embossed Copper

Hello!  Last time it was Team A's turn to post on Tuesday Throwdown, I was so covered up with life that I had to skip.  So it seems like it's been months since I've posted!

This week our sponsor is
http://digitaldelightsbyloubyloo.com/ and our challenge theme is "Add Metal".

So here's my take with our sponsor's image "Steampunk Tasha":

I've had a roll of thin copper sheeting for something like forever and finally thought this would be a fun way to use some of it.  The diecuts were all in my spare parts box (sweet!).  The black doilie is a Spellbinder's die, the white piece on it is the negative cut from a Cricut "ready to make" card and the green label is a Cricut label cut in half.  My image is colored with Spectrum Noir markers then fussy cut and the paper is a piece from a Paper Studio sheet.  The "hello" stamp is from Winnie & Walter's "The Big, the Bold and the Happy" set.

This was really a fun card to make and I hope you like it!  Thanks for stopping by and be sure to check out all the other great projects over at Tuesday Throwdown!

I've entered this card here:

This week at My Sheri Crafts Peach challenged us with the theme "Creepy Crawly - Make a Halloween project featuring creepy, crawly and/or flying critters!"
I've used and image from Bugaboo called "Goth Girl".

Just for fun, I colored her with my sparkle gel pens, except for her skin.  For that I used a LG2 Spectrum Noir marker.  The spider web and tag are Cricut cuts and I used the pen feature to write the sentiment on the tag and the inside.

I love that font for a Halloween card!

Thanks for stopping by and I hope you'll come on over and join us at My Sheri Crafts!

Halloween Treat Bags

This week at My Sheri Crafts, Raquel has challenged us to make Treat Bags or Boxes!  What a fun challenge!  I found this fun cut file from the Creepy Critters Cricut cartridge:

Isn't he a cutie?  There is also a p, a cat, a bat and a spider.  I won't be making the spider, but hopefully there will be more pictures coming of the others.  I need 4 treat bags, so these are perfect!
Come on over and join us!

It's A Teddy Bear Halloween

It's Halloween time over at My Sheri Crafts and Peach is hosting our challenge this week with the theme "Black Magic - Create a Halloween Project".  Well, my project doesn't really remind me of "Black Magic", but it is for Halloween!  I got the Teddy Bear Parade cartridge a while back and finally got to use it!

I used a little scrap oval from the cut to put on his nose because I figured he would have painted his nose orange for this costume. :-)  "Boo" is cut from the Disney Pixar cartridge and I added a piece of black ribbon from my stash to finish it off.

Have a safe and fun Halloween!

Frankenstein & His Bride

Hi!  It's time for another fun challenge over at Tuesday Throwdown
Our sponsor this week is http://www.doodlepantry.com/
and our theme is "Halloween Colors"  I

I used the image set "Harvest Bounty" and used the "Tree & Fence" image from the set as a background for some fun little 3D stickers from  that I found in my stash.

I colored "Tree & Fence" with Spectrum Noir markers, cut it out with a Spellbinders die, then inked it with purple and green before adding the stickers.  For the inside, I printed the sentiment from Silhouette Design Studio, then completed it the same as the front.  Simple, but cute!

So please head over to Tuesday Throwdown, check out all the great inspiration and then join us!  See ya there!

I've entered this card here:

Pixar Halloween Card

Hello!  I'm so glad you stopped by!  I have my last Halloween card to share with you today.

All cuts are from Best of Pixar and the papers are all from scraps.

I glued the door frame/character side down flat, but pop-dotted the door.  It almost looks like it really is opening out of the card!

I hope you like it.  It's a really cute cut.  Thanks for stopping by!

Halloween Step Card

Hi!  Today I have my second Halloween card I need for grandkids.  I only need 3, so I'm almost there!  Halloween is not really a holiday I celebrate, but my grandkids still like to get cards for it and it's a reason to work in my craft room!  I sure have been having a hard time getting some crafting time lately, so I'm tickled to get another one done.

For this one I chose to make a  side step card.  It took me awhile to recall the dimensions for scoring the folds. All the
papers used are from scraps.

This super tree cut is from Simply Scarecrows and the sentiment is from Ultimate Creative Sampler.   All other cuts are from Paper Doll Dress Up.  I added some little pieces of twine in the tree to resemble mossy webs hanging down.

I added a Jack-O-Lantern die cut from my stash, a few marker accents and there you go!  A fun and easy card to make!

Thanks for stopping by!  I hope your week is full of blessings and you see God working this week!

I'm entering this card here:

My Sheri Crafts Challenge #96

Hello again!  I hope you are having a great, Autumn weekend!  I love this time of year!  It's cooler, we finally have had some nice rain and the trees are actually showing some color.  I was so afraid they wouldn't.

But it's time for a new challenge with My Sheri Crafts and we are looking for anything Halloween Related.  I've made my first Halloween card this year for one of my grandkids.  It's also the first project I've made with my Imagine Buccanneer cartridge and the first time I've printed paper!

The "happy halloween" is from Holiday Cakes, but the "Have A" is from Billionaire and I used my Gypsy to weld the letters and make a shadow cut.

Isn't he a snazzy pirate with his purple feather?  I cut all the layers and pop-dotted them so he has lots of dimension.

<-  And the inside.  I hand wrote the "Or You;ll" on the sword.  On both mats I used a distressing tool from Creative Memories, inked the edges with Tim Holz "Rusty Hinge" distress ink, then lightly wet the edges and scrunched it up.

What do you think?  I kind of like it and it was lots of fun to make. Now it's your turn!  I'd love to see your Halloween creations linked up at My Sheri Crafts!  Be sure to check out all the Design Team inspiration and our guest designer's beautiful work!

This card also entered here:

"Batty Birthday"

One of the boys in my Sunday school class today has a birthday Oct. 29th.  He was so excited to tell me "I'm having a birthday-slash-Halloween Party", as he told me SEVERAL times!  So I thought I would make him a card specifically for his "birthday-slash-Halloween party".  :)
The card base looks black, but is actually a dark purple scrap of cardstock cut at 6 1/2" x 10" to make a 6 1/2"x5" card.   All of the papers are scraps from my stash, so I don't have any company names.

The little bats were cut from Paper Doll Dress Up.  I cut them at 1/2" with the 'Real Size' dial on, the gift box is from Holiday Cakes cut at 3".  I really had a hard time not making that bow all glittery!  I had to keep reminding myself this was for a 10 yr old boy!
This bat is from Holiday Cakes, blackout feature, sized and manipulated on my Gypsy.  I wrote the sentiment with a green glitter gel pen--I just HAD to have a tiny bit of sparkle somewhere!  :)
The inside bat is the same bat cut from Holiday Cakes without the manipulating.  I really wish the colors showed up correctly, the bat looks pretty good against that dark purple.  I hope you and the birthday boy like the card!  Thanks for coming by!

I'm entering this card in the following challenges:
Birthday Sundaes - use green, purple, black and white
More Than Favors Wacky Wednesday - Halloween
Cooking With Cricut - purple & green

Halloween Card #3

Hello!  I hope you have had a great, beautiful and craft-filled weekend!  It has been BEAUTIFUL here in Southwest Missouri.

I got my third and final (I think) Halloween card.
This card will go to my 21 month old grandson, so I kept it pretty simple.  No extra embellishments that he might pull off and try to eat!  I used all scraps on this piece.  I love it when I can use some of those up!  The background paper is from Doodlebug Designs, the ghost is from Paper Pizazz, Fall book.  I've just about used that book up and bought it at a yard sale back when I first started scrapbooking.
"boo" is cut from Holiday Cakes at 1" and the haunted house is from Paper Doll Dress Up.  I had cut 2 of those last year for cards and didn't use them.  I was tickled to find them, but not sure what size I cut them, approx. 2".
This little ghostie is also cut from Paper Doll DU, and was another cut from last year.  He's about 1" tall.  All edges were inked with Pumpkin Orange ink, and I drew the face on this  ghost with a white gel pen.

Thanks for coming by and have a super week!

This card is entered in the following challenges:
Do You Stack Up - use your scraps

Halloween Card #2

Hello again!  I've made my 2nd Halloween card for my grandkids and here it is:
Isn't he just the cutest little alien?  He is cut from the Toy Story cartridge.  I just got that in and HAD to use it right away.  I just love the Toy Story movies!  The alien is cut at 3 1/4".  The orange card base is from a set I bought at Wal-Mart about a year ago.  The paper strip is cut with decorative scissors.
I made this card to follow the sketch challenge from Card Creations, but the challenge changed today, so I'm a bit late for that one!  But I like the layout for this theme and thought the googley eyes were perfect.  The ribbon actually has blue polka dots on it, but I turned it over.  You can still kind of see them, but I didn't have any plain lime green ribbon!
The patterned paper is from Doodlebug Designs and I created the sentiment on my computer and printed it on Letra Set Safemat.

I'll be entering this card in the following challenges:
More Than Favors - use black, purple, orange and green
My Craft Spot - too cute to spook
The Crafting Misfit

Thanks for coming by and I hope you are having a great weekend!

1st Halloween Card of 2011

Now that the worst of the Fall "busyness" is over for me, I have been looking over several challenge blogs.  I don't do much for Halloween, but my grandkids do expect to receive their cards, so I decided I'd just as well get started on them.  So here is the first one for this year:
Isn't he a cute little guy?  I used a scrap piece of black textured cardstock cut 6x11 for the card base.  The green mats (inside and out) are also from my scrap stash.  The patterened paper is the only piece that was not from scrap.  I bought that paper at a yard sale and there was no name on the back,so I don't know who's it is.
The little spider stickers are from Hallmark.  I had used almost all of the other stickers on that sheet, so they are kind of scraps, too!
"Happy Halloween" was cut from Holiday Cakes cartridge at 1" on scrap pieces of orange and shadow cut on black.  Then I added stitching to it and around Frankie with my green glitter gel pen.

"Frankie" is from Paper Pizazz - again, one of the few things I have left in that collection.  The ribbon came from Wal-Mart and added a nice touch.
I made this card to complete the challenge at Creative Cutter Room blog hop/challenge,which is Fall/Halloween with faux or real stitching, a sticker and ribbon.  Then I found that it qualified for a few others.  So I'm entering this one in the following challenges:

Cricut Creative Cutter Room
Celebrate the Occasion - ribbon
Love To Crop - mostly scraps
My Sheri Crafts - stitching, real or faux

I hope the Trick or Treat weather is as beautiful as it is now!  I'll be back soon with another post...I actually got TWO cards done yesterday!  WOO HOO!!  Thanks for stopping by!
