Go Wild Cat!

OK, the internet at my new house and I are going to have it out soon!  It's been fine, then it's sloooooowwww, then it's fine and when I came home from work Friday---the router was completely dead!  It had been malfunctioning for over a week and I had talked to the phone company and was assured a new router was on it's way, should be here Tuesday.  So Friday I told them the router was dead and where is my new one?  Their answer...."Well Ma'am, the operator didn't actually complete the order so it was never sent to you."  UGGGGHHHH!   So now it's supposed to arrive today, so we will see if UPS left it for me when I get home.  No internet all weekend, so I'm using a little down time at work to get this posted.  But I'm wondering this:  if I called the first time on Thursday and the earliest I could receive it was Tuesday, how come I can call on Friday and receive it on Monday????

OK, another rant over.....

So here's my card for our new challenge at My Sheri Crafts.  It was my turn to come up with the theme and since the Olympics start this week, I thought we needed to make something Sports Related.(any sport)

We had a week of Rodeo Bible camp, then a week of daycamp at work and I haven't been in my craft room for waaaayyy too long, so I pulled out a card I made a while back but never had posted.  This cut is from Cricut's Sports Mania cartridge.

The "Go Wild" a partial Cricut cut and "Cat" is welded type I added.  I actually made this one on my Gypsy a couple of years ago.

Thanks for allowing me to use an old project this week!  My summer commitments are slowing down now, so I should be able to get back in my craft room...now if the internet just works!

Thanks for stopping by!

My Sheri Crafts Challenge #101

Welcome back!  It's time for the first challenge of 2013 at My Sheri Crafts!  We are kicking the year off with Sports Themed projects.  I made my first picture frames!
These are 5 1/2 x 4 1/2 to fit 3x2 wallet pictures.  The frames are cut from the Stretch Your Imagination cartridge, card frame feature.  All other cuts are from Sports Mania.

After I put it all together, I distressed the edges with Antique Linen distress ink.

I embossed one frame with a woodgrain folder.  I really like it, but the paper tore very easily afterward so I didn't do the other one.
Yup, that's my refrigerator!  I glued magnets to the back!  This was a fun project and now makes me want to do some more!

Get your crafting year started and join us with your sports project!  Love to see what you create!

Football Shaped card

Hi!  I'm so glad you stopped by today!  Well how about some more Football!?!?!?!  It's that time of year and I don't know about your  town, but in my hometown it's a BIG deal!

I made another card for another one of my Sunday School kids.  He also plays Mighty Mite football and is a huge fan of the sport so it was pretty easy to decide what to make for his card.
I used my Gypsy to weld two of the shadow cuts of the football on the Sportsmania cartridge.  It's embossed with a Cuttlebug folder and all edges are distressed with Antique Linen distressing ink.

I made the sentiment on my Gypsy using Pooh Font.  I really liked the completed card and hope you do  too.  It was fun to make and I really like the embossing.

Again, I appreciate that you stopped by and would love to recive a comment!  Hope you have a blessed day!

A couple of really simple Birthday Cards

Happy Monday!  I have just a couple of quick and simple birthday cards I made this afternoon that I wanted to share with you.  CAS-ual Friday's current challenge is to use 2 circles.  This is probably the simplest card I have ever made!

I used a 4 x 5 1/2 card base, cut 2 circles with the Creative Memories circle cutters, cut a 4 x 3/4 in strip of pink paper trimmed with scallop scissors and stamped the sentiment with a Pink By Design stamp.  Ta-da!  UBER simple and kind of cute!

This card will be entered here:

My second card is just barely less simple:

This card has 3 ball cuts from Sports Mania at 1" embossed with the cuttlebug, a circle cut at 2 1/2" and Pink By Design stamps from the "Simply Everything" and "Take The Cake" sets.   The patterned paper is from Die Cuts With a View and the card base if from Hobby Lobby.

This card will be entered here:
Pile It On - cards for guys with sports theme
ABC - "S" for surprise - anything goes
Anything Goes - Polka Dots andBirthday

My Sheri Crafts Challenge #72

It's time for another challenge over at  My Cheri Crafts and it's my first official post as a Design Team member!!!!  This week "It's All About Sports!"  Make a project with a sports related theme, so I made a layout of my granddaughters in Upward Cheerleading.
I had a hard time deciding on background paper, so I used a foam megaphone I found on clearance at Wal-Mart a couple of years ago.  It's actually supposed to be stuck on the wall, but I inked it and used it as a stamp!
The banner flags, basketball and hoop all were cut from Sports Mania.   The "Let's Go" is from Plantin Schoolbook.

I wrote the girl's names on the banners with blue glitter gel pen and used baker's twine to "tie" them.

The little cheer dolls were cut from Every Day Paper Dolls.  I accented the their outfits with the blue glitter gel pen, a white gel pen for the whites of their eye and those CUTE Peachy Keen face stamps.
Come on over to My Sheri Crafts and join in the challenge this week.  We'd love to have you!

Softball Layout

Hello!  I hope you are having a great weekend.  The weather here in SW Missouri is beautiful, sunny and cooler.  I love Fall!

I have gotten a little bit of scrapbooking done this week.  I'm still behind, but getting closer.  Cricut Creative Cutter Room has a challenge this week for Sports projects, so today I have a LO of my granddaughters summer softball.
I used Sports Mania and the background function.  I just love that function!  It makes layouts so easy!  On the mats, I used a Martha Stewart border punch.
"Play Ball" is cut from gold foil paper (Wal Mart brand) layered and pop dotted,

This layout is very quick and simple, but looks sharp and fresh.  I need a lot more of those quick and simple layouts to get caught up!

I hope you have a wonderful day and thanks for coming by!

T-shirts with iron on vinyl

Wow, where did the spring weather go?  It looks so pretty out today, but that breeze is cold!

Well, I thought today I would post the t-shirts I made Kaylee and Lexi, my granddaughters.  The pictures don't show the shine in the vinyl very well.  I used iron on sparkly gold vinyl that I bought from Amazing Graphics Ebay store.  They have a great video of how to work with iron on vinyl here.  The glittery gold they are using in the video is the same vinyl I used on these shirts.  It's really pretty.
I designed this on my Gypsy and used Plantin Schoolbook Roly Poly font cut at 3" for the Wildcats and welded the swish from Sports Mania, then slanted them.  I LOVES my Gypsy almost as much as my Expression!  The paw prints are from Disney Mickey and Friends cart.  The names are Plantin again, cut at 1".  The shirts were a hit and no one else has any just like them!  Thanks for stopping by!
