My Sheri Craft #107 - Spring Has Sprung!

Welcome Spring!  I love this season!  At My Sheri Crafts we are celebrating Spring, so we were asked to "Create a card/project that says "spring" to you (i.e. flowers, sunshine, green grass, etc.)"  Now my first picture is definitely not a Spring item, but here's my story.  I had my Snowman collection out after Christmas and finally got it put away in early March.  I don't know about you, but every time, and I do mean EVERY time, that I put a collection away I find something I've missed a day to two later.  Well this year it was this little snowman spade:

I thought about taking it down to the basement, untaping the box and putting it away.  But then I decided the back side of it could be a Spring spade.

Recently, I was given a bunch of vinyl scraps and I thought this was the perfect time to use some of it.

I covered the spade with white vinyl, then used cuts from Easter 2010 and Stretch Your Imagination to make this little spring scene.  I also added a few butterfly and ladybug stickers from my stash.

It's nothing fancy, but it was fun to make and I like the result.  I hope you'll join us with your Spring Celebration creation!

See you again soon!

My Sheri Crafts Challenge #101

Welcome back!  It's time for the first challenge of 2013 at My Sheri Crafts!  We are kicking the year off with Sports Themed projects.  I made my first picture frames!
These are 5 1/2 x 4 1/2 to fit 3x2 wallet pictures.  The frames are cut from the Stretch Your Imagination cartridge, card frame feature.  All other cuts are from Sports Mania.

After I put it all together, I distressed the edges with Antique Linen distress ink.

I embossed one frame with a woodgrain folder.  I really like it, but the paper tore very easily afterward so I didn't do the other one.
Yup, that's my refrigerator!  I glued magnets to the back!  This was a fun project and now makes me want to do some more!

Get your crafting year started and join us with your sports project!  Love to see what you create!

Happy Harvest Tag Decor

Hello!  I'm so glad you stopped by today.  I have a decor project to share with you today.  I cut large tags from cereal boxes to create this little scene.

The tags cut is from Tags, Bags, Boxes and More and I think I cut them about 5 1/2"

Most of the cuts are from Simply Scarecrows cartridge and the papers are all scraps.  Some of the cuts are from Stretch Your Imagination.

After it was completed, I sprayed Krylon Spray Glitter lightly over it for just a little sparkle.

I hope you enjoyed my little scene, I enjoyed sharing it with you!  Thanks so much for checking in with me today!

Snow Day Layout

Hello!  It's Challenge time again at My Sheri Crafts!  WooHoo!  This week we want to "Let It Snow"!  Create a card/project with a snow or snowflake theme.  Here is another layout of (who else?) my granddaughters playing in the snow.

Aren't they cuties?!  Maybe I'm a little predjudiced?  Most definately!

This cut is from Winter Woodland.  I just love that cartridge and especially this cut!  It's cut from white glitter paper.  The page borders are made with adhesive paper lace that I bought from LTD Commodities a couple of years ago, just stuck on a strip of plain blue cardstock.  Easy peasy!

This little tag is cut from Tags, Bags, Boxes and More and then glittered, with a little strip of white & silver ribbon tied on.

This sled is cut from Stretch Your Imagination and the snowflakes are from the Christmas seasonal cartridge, also cut from glitter paper.

Thank you for stopping by, now get crafting and show us some snow!  Link up at My Sheri Crafts, I can't wait to see your projects!
