Winter Sparkle at Tuesday Throwdown

HAPPY NEW YEAR!!!

Let's start off the 2019 with a new fun challenge at Tuesday Throwdown!  We are sponsored this week by

and our theme is "Winter Sparkle".  Now who doesn't love a little sparkle on their projects??

I love snowmen and our sponsor provided this sweet boy that I chose to work with:

He's called "Country Snowman" and I've colored him with Spectrum Noir markers.  The sentiment is a Cricut cut that originally said "Snow Much Fun" and I added the Thank You with a Cricut Font.  I already closed out the program and don't remember the name of the font, though!  It doesn't really show up well, but all the words are cut from glitter paper.  The ribbon also has shiny silver and glitter snowflakes on it.

Thanks for stopping by and I hope you'll join us!!!

Thank You Ever So Much

This week at Tuesday Throwdown we are sponsored by
 https://www.etsy.com/shop/SasayakiGlitter

and our theme is "So Very Thankful"
I've used our sponsor's image "Dorrie" for my thank you card:

The image is colored with Spectrum Noir markers and distressed with Tim Holtz distress ink.  The sentiment stamp is one of the super sweet freebies from Cardmaking and Papercraft magazine.  The papers are all scraps from my stash and I'm not sure what paper pad they came from.  A little bling and a feather, also from my stash, finished it off.

Thanks for stopping by and I hope you'll join us this week!

I've entered this card here:

Do Small Things card

Happy Tuesday!  It's time for Team A's new challenge at Tuesday Throwdown!  This week we are sponsored by The Cutting Cafe and we have Photo Inspiration:

I love these colors and if you can't read the sentiment in the bottom corner, well, it's on my card!

I've used our sponsors image "One Spring Day 6" colored with Spectrum Noir Markers, a fun card cut from Cricut, some gems from The Paper Studio and wrote the sentiment using the writing function on my Cricut Explore.  I LOVE THAT!!!

Just a cute, fun card that I really enjoyed making.  Thanks for stopping by and I hope to see you over at Tuesday Throwdown!!!

An Elephant Never Forgets!

It's time for a new challenge at The Outlawz Twisted Thursday and this week our theme is Anything Goes with the Twist - A Fall Theme!
We are sponsored once again by Bugaboo!

I used one of their cute  Edward Pumpkins images to make a Thank You card:

Inside is stamped with "Thanks Bunches".

These papers have been in my stash from the beginning of time, I think!

This project is also a first for me---I used the pen in my Explore to write the font on the die cut all in one step!  Woohoo!  Another feature figured out!  LOL!

Come on over to The Outlawz and join us!

A Quick Thank You card

Today is the day for another challenge at The Outlawz !  We are sponsored again this week by

Challenges in our Twisted Thursday group are always Anything Goes with an Optional twist!  This week the twist is "Anything Goes". That's right, it's totally ANYTHING GOES!!!

I made a quick Thank You card with another of Sherri's cute images.

The embossing folder is from Cricut, and the paper flower is from Creative Memories.  I added a little gem to the center 'cause you just gotta have at least a little bit of bling!  The image is colored, as usual, with Spectrum Noir markers.

Sending a huge "THANK YOU" to Sherri Baldy for sponsoring us this month and sharing some of her little cuties with us!

I hope you'll join us this week at The Outlawz Twisted Thursday!

Thank You Sew Much - My Sheri Crafts #120

Hello!  Happy Saturday!  We are having some beautiful Autumn weather.  I love this time of year!  The weather is cooling off and makes me think of evenings cozied up in my chair cross-stitching.  So this week's challenge at My Sheri Crafts is perfect!  Sue chose the theme "Stitch In Time"-make a project which includes a sewing theme.

I chose this cute bear digi, "Patch", from Stamping Boutique to make a Thank You Card:
I used Spellbinders dies to cut him out.  The patterned paper is from Melody Ross.

He's colored with my Spectrum Noir markers and I used a silver glitter gel pen to accent some of the dots around him.
The sentiment is computer generated and cut out with Tags, Bags, Boxes and More and some gems from my stash.  I've used some of them on the corners of the image cut, too.  I've anchored the sentiment with a little bit of ribbon and some flower brads.
The inside is completed with scraps!  I really like how this card turned out!

So come on over to My Sheri Crafts and stitch up some fun!  Thanks for stopping by!

I Won Some Blog Candy!

Welcome to another challenge at Creative Craft Challenges!  This week we want to see you "Bling It Up"!  Our sponsor for this challenge is Dustin Pike.

A while back Michele over at Thoughts of a Card Making Scrapbooker gave away two Garden Soup cartridges.  I was blessed to be one of the winners!   YAY!!  I made her a Thank You card using the cartridge to show her how much I appreciate the gift.  I'd like to share that card with you today:
I cut the base at 5 1/2 x 6 from yellow textured cardstock.  The striped paper is from    and the green floral paper is from .

This flower is cut at 2 1/2" and the leaves are 1 1/2".  The flower layers are only glued in the middle so the edges could be curled to add some dimension.
I really liked this cute border cut that matches the flower.  I used to of them to go across the card.

The sentiment cut is the only one not on this cartridge.  It comes from Cindy Loo.  There is no shadow cut for it, so I cut it once in pink at 1"  and again in green at 1.2"

I did some doodling with a white gel pen and added some bling until I thought I better stop before over indulging! :)
The inside is finished out with some scraps of the patterned paper and there you have it!

Thanks for stopping in today!  I hope you are having a wonderful week and get your bling on and join us!!!

Thank You to a Police Officer

Hello!  I'm so glad you stopped by today!  I hope you have had a wonderful weekend and off to a good start on your week.  Today I have a card to share with you that my daughter asked me to make.  One of the city police officers is leaving the force after a long term of service.  She requested "a thank you/best wishes kind of card".  Here's my interpretation of that request:
I also wanted to enter a card in the Just Rite Challenge.  I've never entered their challenge before, but I really like their stamps and have purchase a few sets.

This sentiment and border is from the Old Friends set.  I found a cut from Lacy Labels that matches the border stamp perfectly.  The patterned paper is from My Minds Eye and the ribbon is from Hobby Lobby.  I added a little bling with my I-Rock.I found this badge on Google images and handcut a mat for it.

I finished out the inside on both sides so everyone can sign it and the "Thank You" stamp from Stamp Craft is the finishing touch.  I hope he likes the card, and we do appreciate his years of service.

Please let me know what you think, I love to read your comments!

A Floral Thank You!

Hello and Happy Wednesday!  I hope you've been having a good week and looking forward to a great weekend.  Today (actually it's tonight!) I want to share a card with you that I sent to Michele over at Thoughts of  Cardmaking Scrapbooker.  She recently gave away a couple of Garden Soup cartridges and I won one of them!  WOOHOO!!!  So I used the cartridge to make a Thank You card for her.

This flower was cut at 2.5" and the edges of each petal have been curled just a bit.  The leaves are cut at 1.5" in two different colors.
This cutie is from the border feature cut at 1.03".  I used two of them.
The "Thank You" is the only cut on this card that is not from this cartridge.  It's from Cindy Loo at 1.2"   As you can tell from a couple of odd sizes, I laid this all out in my Gypsy!
I really like the look of a finished inside and it doesn't take long to cut a couple of strips from your scraps!  I added some bling from The Paper Studio and lots of doodling with a white gel pen and there you go!

I received an email from Michele today letting me know she received the card, so I knew it was safe to post it now!  She seemed pleased with it and I hope you like it, too!

I'm also entering this card at Kaboodle Doodles Challenge Blog

Favorite Project of 2011

Hello!  I'm glad you stopped in today.  I hope you had a wonderful Christmas and got to spend wonderful time with your family.

I found a couple of challenges today that are looking for our favorite project we made in 2011.  I decided on a Thank You card that I posted in September here.  I just really liked the way this one turned out.

I used the Old West Cartridge for this card.
I just love that little piece of rope on the saddle horn!  It adds so much! The patterened paper on the saddle is from an assortment of paper I won from Oh My Crafts and the solid paper is Kraft paper. I used a scalloped hole punch and gold paper from my scraps to make the conchos and folded tiny strips of brown paper for the latigo. The rope is twine that was on a box of something I ordered.

I made a matching envelope from patterned paper and the border punch is from the Paper Studio.
I'm entering this repost at Cooking With Cricut and at Whimsical Designs

Thanks for stopping by and I hope you have a wonderful, blessed New Year!

First "Santa's Village" card

Hello!  On an earlier post I mentioned that I had ordered a couple of Imagine cartridges that I really wanted and I finally got a chance to spend a little time using one!  Some good friends of ours invited us over for a Christmas open house this weekend and I wanted to send them a Thank You card.  Since she had several ceramic Santas decorating her home, I thought a Santa card would be perfect.
This was made using the Santa's Village Imagine cartridge cut at 4 1/2".  To make it a shaped card I traced around the cutout with a little tool called "Quick Cutter Disc Set" from Puzzlemates.  I then cut it out on the top fold and drew around the edge of the card with my ZIG metallic pen.  It really adds some shine!  The sentiment stamp is from StampCraft in gold ink.  That didn't show up very well, so I went over it with the ZIG pen.
The inside is another cut of the sleigh but I used the no color pattern option to get a blank piece.  I expected it to be just a white cutout, but it printed it in a nice cream color that matched perfectly.  That machine is smarter than me!  I inked the edges of it with a gold stamp pad that I have had so long I have no idea where it came from.  It's one of the first stamp pads I ever got and it has no name on it.

I added a few Imaginisce gems with my I-Rock to add a little bling (and to cover up a couple of pen slips!) See all that detail in the Santa?  Is it any wonder I was just CRAVING this cartridge?  I love the vintage look of the images!  I'm really pleased with how the card turned out and I hope my friends will be, too.

Thanks for stopping by and I hope you are having a great week!

Western Thank You Card

A friend of mine asked me to make a Thank You card for someone who donated a saddle to use as a fund raiser for our annual Bullriding Bible Camp.  I knew the card had to have a saddle on it!
I used the Old West cartridge for all of it.
The patterened paper on the saddle is from an assortment of paper I won from Oh My Crafts.  I used a scalloped hole punch and gold paper from my scraps to make the conchos and folded tiny strips of brown paper for the latigo.  The rope is twine that was on a box of something I ordered.
The border punch is from The Paper Studio
And an envelope to match!  I hope both my friend and the donor like the card.  I'm really pleased with the result.

I'm entering this card in these challenges:

Do You Stack Up - texture
