A Little Pink & Orange

Hello again!  I'm so glad you stopped by today because I have a card to share with you that I just LOVE!   The challenge over at Love To Crop is to use orange, pink and one more color.  I chose brown as my other color and here's the card I came up with:

This card measures 4 3/4" x 5 1/2" and cut from dark brown cardstock.  Patterned paper is from Anna Griffin.  The brown lace trim is paper lace that I colored with a brown marker.

The butterflies are all cut from Gypsy Wanderings at 1 1/5" from pink and orange cardstock scraps.
This tag is cut from a cuttlebug folder.  I found the perfect little clear stamp in my stash.  It's from Stampabilities, spring set.
For added dimension I pop-dotted the card face and all the butterflies are glued down only in the body area so I could curl the wings a little.

I finished out the inside with more scrap paper in pink and orange with a leftover strip of the paper lace and another butterfly cut.  Everything is inked with dark brown.

I hope you like it, it came out even better than I had pictured!  Thanks again for stopping by today and I pray you have a blessed day!

Time for a New Challenge at My Sheri Crafts!

Hello and Happy Saturday to you!  I hope you are having a nice, craft filled weekend.  It's time for some "Warm Winter Wishes" and a new challenge at My Sheri Crafts.  The weather is so cold around this time of the year that we should wish our friends warm thoughts and wishes! Examples would be anything warm such as fires, warm soup, baking, hot cocoa! Use your imagination!

I love to make shaped cards.  This cup of cocoa is from the Savory cartridge, cut at 4".  I used my Gypsy to weld two of the shadow cuts together. The paper is from K&Co. The sentiment is a Stampabilities stamp, but the Savory cut included the word Cocoa so I didn't ink up that part of the stamp.
No cup of cocoa would be complete without "marshmallows" (aka little pieces torn off a cotton ball, rolled up and dotted with glue to hold them in shape)
"Cocoa" is pop dotted for a little dimension and on the inside I used the blackout feature  to cut the cup again from cream colored paper.

Simple, but kind of pretty!

Thanks for checking in today and now it's time to warm up your craftiness and join in the fun at My Sheri Crafts!  You could be the Guest Designer for our next challenge!

Have a great weekend!

Pretty Valentine

Hellooooo!  I hope you have had a good weekend.  We are settled in and waiting on the snow and ice they are predicting for us early in the nmorning. Wonder what it's going to be like tomorrow?

It's been a full week since I've posted a project of any kind!  We are right in the middle of our Upward Basketball and Cheerleading program at work.  This year I'm not only working all day each Saturday, but I'm Cheerleading director, so every Thursday night is tied up with cheer practice, too.  But it's so worth it!  This is a great program where each week we get to share Jesus with over 160 kids!

This afternoon I got to spend a little time crafting and finished up a couple of cards I started Friday.  One of them is for my DT post for My Sheri Crafts which will go up Saturday.  Here's the other one:

The hearts are a Martha Stewart border punch, the lable is a cut installed on the Imagine.  I cut it twice, once at 2" and once at 2.10".   "Love" is from Lovestruck 2010" at 1 1/2".

This is a 5 1/2 x 7 card, the background is cut from a scrap of deep maroon foil paper.  This is really beautiful paper with a nice shine.  The strip behind the lable is also a scrap of the foil paper.

I pop dotted the the lable and used another foil strip to detail the inside and that's it!  I didn't do any inking on this card because I wanted it to have that sharp, crisp look.  I'm really pleased with the results and hope to enter it into a few challenges.

Thank you for stopping by and I hope you have a really blessed week!

Tiny Valentine

Hello and Happy Friday night to you!  Thanks so much for stopping by!  I finally got to spend some time in my craft room this afternoon and got a few projects made.

The challenge over at Fantabulous Cricut is "Valentiny Cards", measuring 3x3.  I had also seen another challenge with easel cards.  I've never tried either of those before so I decided to combine them!  So here is my tiny Easel style Valentine Card!

Isn't that just cute?  It's so little!

This tag cut is preloaded on the Imagine.  I cut it once at 1" and 1" at 1.1", then pop-dotted it to hold the "easel".

The papers are both from The Paper Studio and the heart sticker is one that has been in my stash since I first started scrapbooking.

I so appreciate you coming by.  Be sure to check back about noon Saturday to see the new challenge at My Sheri Crafts!
