Creative Borders at Tuesday Throwdown

Good Morning!  This week at Tuesday Throwdown we are sponsored by
and our theme is "Creative Borders".  I've used a sweet stamp set from our sponsor called "Friends and Family" for my card.

I really like this stamp set, it's pretty versatile.  The background paper is a freebie from "Cardmaking and Papercrafting" magazine.  and my "Creative Border" is a cute picket fence from Cricut's Ribbons and Rosettes cartridge on Design Studio Access.  To finish it off I added a little butterfly sticker and set some gems with my Gemsetter from Imaginisc that I haven't used in years!  It was fun to pull that back out and remind myself of the fun tool I have.  (Not that I'm hoarding tools and supplies, or anything like that!)  lol

Thanks for stopping by.  Come on over to Tuesday Throwdown and check out all the great projects there, then join us!

A Friend Card in Black & White

Good morning!  I'm sharing a card today that I made using the sweet Bugaboo image "Friend Flower Doodle" that we received in the Freebie/Progressive challenge at The Outlawz.  I thought this would look great as a black and white card.  After putting it together, I love how it worked!

Isn't that a neat image?  It's great when it's colored in, too!  Fun one to work with.  Thanks Bugaboo!

I'm entering a few challenges today...haven't done that for awhile!

A Thankful, Raggedy Pair

It's Twisted Thursday time!!!  We are sponsored this week by Stitchie Bear stamps and our theme is "Aything Goes with the Optional Twist of Be Thankful"
I used Stitchie Bear's image "The Raggedys" to make my card:

Aren't they cute?!  I've colored the image with Spectrum Noir markers and distressed the edges with Tim Holz distress inks.  The flower border is a Cricut cut from Paper Lace.  The sentiment is a Studio G stamp.  That background paper is some I picked up on the clearance rack at Hobby Lobby about 3 years ago in a miscellaneous pack of paper.  Most of the pack was this print and I haven't found very many plaes to use it, but this was a great fit!

Inside is a Stampabilities stamp.

Your turn!  Head over to The Outlawz Twisted Thursday, check out the other great projects there and enter for a chance at some great prizes  Be sure to enter your project in the inlinkz also!

Thanks for stopping by today!

Simple "True Friends" card

Hi!   I have a really simple friendship card today.  I'm still looking back through draft posts that I never posted and trying to get them used.  Here's a cute, very simple friendship card.

I scraplifted this card from someone and when I went back to list the magazine I thought I saw it in, it wasn't there!  So I went to a blog I thought it must have come from and it wasn't there either!  So I can't give credit to the inspiration, but her card was wonderful!

This is simply a green print cardstock base with strips of paper ribbon from Creative Memories.  The sentiment stamp is from Just Rite's Friendship set (I combined 2 stamps from the set)  and I added a few I-Rock gems.

How simple is that? No Cricut, no Digi, no coloring....whaaatttt?????  The card looks much prettier in real life and I'm very happy with how it turned out.

I'm entering this card here:

Outlawz - Sunday clean & simple, diamonds (rhinestones, glitter, Stickles...anything that glistens) and/or

Cute Thinking of You Card

Hi!  It's Tuesday Throwdown time again!  This week we are sponsored by
Sassy Cheryl's Stampsand our theme is "Stitching".  I made this fun card using "Sally & Bella Go Camping".

I think this image is just adorable!  I've colored it with Spectrum Noir markers and stitched it to the cardstock with my little "Sew Crafty Mini".  I just picked up that blue ribbon at Wal-Mart on my way home from work today.  I love that color!  The patterned paper has no name on it, so I don't know who it is from.  I added some flowers and brads from my yard sale stash. The sentiment is from Close To My Heart.  Super simple and fun!

Get stitchin' and come on over and join us!

I've entered this card here:

Hello Blog Buddies!   It's been awhile since I welcomed new followers and I see that we have almost reached 100!  Wow!  Welcome to all of you and thank you for joining me here!  When I first started this I seriously doubted I would get 15 or 20.  How exciting!   When we do hit 100, I will have a giveaway to celebrate, so keep an eye out for it!

It's time for another challenge at Creative Craft Challenges and we are having a recipe challenge this time.  Use 1 image, 1 sentiment, 2 patterned papers and 2 different embellishments.

I used a Whoopsi Daisy image, a sentiment I created in Microsoft WORD, papers from Provo Craft and , and my 2 embellishments are buttons and ribbon/tag.
I colored the image with Spectrum Noir markers

The sentiment is printed on Safemat paper and adhered onto a tag cut with Tags, Bags, Boxes and More.

Well, I've had a great time working with the Creative Craft Challenges team, but this will be our last challenge for awhile.  Life gets really busy sometimes and Sandra, our blog leader, is just covered up with things happening right now.  So after this challenge we will be taking an extended break, so please come over and join us for this last challenge!  Hope to see you there!

My Sheri Crafts #110 3D flowers

Welcome to another Saturday challenge with My Sheri Crafts!  This week we are going 3D!  We were challenged by teammate P.G. Lamb to create a card/project featuring 3 dimensional flowers.

I used a digital flower file from Fred She Said to create my card.  I colored all layers (5 of them!) with Spectrum Noir pens, cut them out and connected them with a brad from my stash.  Then I curled the edges of each petal using a quilling tool.  It's matted on two Lacy Circles Spellbinders dies.  That fun burlap ribbon was in a basket full of ribbon I found at a garage sale!  The shiny pink came from Wal-Mart.

This sentiment stamp is from Just Rite, stamped on another Lacy Circle, matted on two Adorning Squares dies.  Can you tell I bought some new Spellbinders?  LOL!

This shot is just to show all the dimension of the card.  The paper is from Anna Griffin.

I hope you'll join in the fun at My Sheri Crafts and show me your flowers!  Be sure to check out all the team's great inspiration and leave them all some sweet comments!

Silver & Lavender Friendship Card

Hello!  I'm so glad you stopped by today.  I've been a bit out of pocket lately, so I'm posting a card I made a week or two ago.  It was so simple, but turned out so pretty!
I first embossed a premade card base with an Mbossibilities heart folder.  Then added this beautiful ribbon that I found on sale at Michaels.  I love the silver edging on it!  The gems are from Say It In Crystals
The sentiment stamp is from Just Rite Stamps on Spellbinders, Labels Four labels.

Super simple, right?   But I love how it turned out!

Thanks for coming by, please leave me a comment.  I love reading them!

My Sheri Crafts #102 - Snow People

Hellooooo!!!  Welcome to another challenge over at My Sheri Crafts!  This week Glenda asked us to use Snow People.  I really enjoyed this one because I just LOVE snowmen!  I have a fair sized collection of them that I always put out after Christmas and enjoy all through January and often through February, too!

I used a light blue, 5x7 card base and Die Cuts With a View paper.
The Snow family image is a freebie from Beccy's Place and colored with my Spectrum Noir markers; Base/Frame: Lacy Labels, snowflakes are holographic paper, stars are gold foil paper
The tag is cut from Lacy Labels; Sentiment is Computer generated;   Silver glittered brad swirls are from Recollections and a great find in the Christmas clearance at Michaels and the ribbon was on clearance at Joanns.  Great after Christmas scores!
Same Lacy Labels cut, sized to fit with my Gypsy and another holographic snowflake to finish out the inside.  All edges are inked with Tim Holtz Faded Denim distress ink.

So what do you think?   I love how it turned out and am really anxious to see what you make this week.  Be sure to check out all the great work of my DT sisters over at My Sheri Crafts, join in and HAVE FUN!

First card with Quilling!

Hello!  Happy mid-week to you!  I've been learning Quilling and flowers seem to be the easiest thing for me to make so far.  :)  Over at Just Rite Inspiration blog, the current challenge uses some beautiful colors and I kind of wanted to join in, so here's what I made:

It's not nearly as elaborate as most of their cards, but I just love the colors and their sentiment stamps are just wonderful.

I tried three or four shots to get this close up and just can't seem to get one without any shadow anywhere, so this is the best one.

Not too bad for a first shot at quilling, do you think?  Thanks for stopping by and I would love to know hear from you!  Have a wonderful rest of the week!
