Easter "Tree" Centerpiece

Hi!  I'm glad you're here!  I have a fun Easter centerpiece to share with you today.  It's my turn to hostess the challenge at My Sheri Crafts this time and I chose "Anything but a card celebrating Easter".

All cuts are from Easter 2010 cartridge.  This was really easy and fun to do!    I had made several Spring centerpieces for the District Convention so I took one and changed out the items I hung on it.  These are really versatile!  Here's the original spring centerpiece with kites, pinwheels and flowers:

Easy to change over for Easter and I think I can use it for summer too!  FUN!

So now, get creative and come join us at My Sheri Crafts!  See you there!

First Easter Card of 2014

Hellooooo!  It's time to be getting ready for Easter and I've got my first Easter Card of the year.  At Tuesday Throwdown this week we are sponsored by Pink Cat Studio and our theme is "Digi Dimension-make part of your image pop."  I've used this cute bunny in a basket from Pink Cat and layered the bunny up a bit.

Here you can see the layers.  I have two layers of the bunny and bow and a 3rd layers of his egg.  I was really back and forth as to how much inking I wanted to do on this one.  I wanted to keep it pretty crisp, so decided not to ink the flowers or the edge of the Spellbinders circle, but now I kind of wish I had!  Ah well, I think it's still cute!

Come on over to Tuesday Throwdown and join us!

Supplies list:

Card base - cut with Creative Memories Circle Cutter
Scalloped circle - installed cut on Imagine
Lacy Circle - Spellbinders

Wishing......You a Happy Birthday

Hello Friends.  This afternoon we had a birthday party for my granddaughters.  This month they turn 13 and 14!  Unbelievable!  14 years ago tomorrow (Monday the 24th) I became Mamaw.  What a blessing and a wonderful journey it's been.  I love my grandchildren more than I can express, as I'm sure all you grandparents understand!  Happy Birthday Kaylee and Lexi!!!!

So here's one of the birthday card's I made.  I just love this sweet image from Whoopsi Daisy.

I used Spectrum Noir markers to color this image and added a Martha Stewart border punch strip that I had laying on my worktable (that was just the right color!).  The flowers and candles were in my stash.  I've had those candles and some birthday cakes that go with them in my stash drawer for 3 or 4 years!

Like I said, I really like this image, but I'm kind of iffy about the overall card.  I think I'll print and color it again and try another layout....sometime.

I also broke my Gypsy this week, so I'm in mourning right now.  :-(   But it's shipped on it's way to the hospital and will hopefully be back soon.

Thanks for stopping by and I hope you all have a wonderful week!

Spring Welcome Banner

Today begins a new challenge at My Sheri Crafts and we are looking for spring!  DT sister Raquel is hosting our challenge "Celebrate Spring!  Make any project with spring flowers."

I needed a Welcome banner for a district meeting, so thought this was the perfect opportunity.

Here are some closer shots

Cricut cartridges:  Team Spirit-pennants, Kate's ABC's - Welcome, George & Basic Shapes-yellow flower
Paper flowers - Creative Memories
Gems. ribbon, brads and doilies from my stash

When I put the banner up, I decided to add these tiny plastic clothespins that I found in my yard sale treasures:

I thought they added just a little something it needed!  I'll share the rest of the decorations I made in another post.  But there's my spring flowers for this challenge!

I hope you'll come on over and join in the fun!

Cute Thinking of You Card

Hi!  It's Tuesday Throwdown time again!  This week we are sponsored by
Sassy Cheryl's Stampsand our theme is "Stitching".  I made this fun card using "Sally & Bella Go Camping".

I think this image is just adorable!  I've colored it with Spectrum Noir markers and stitched it to the cardstock with my little "Sew Crafty Mini".  I just picked up that blue ribbon at Wal-Mart on my way home from work today.  I love that color!  The patterned paper has no name on it, so I don't know who it is from.  I added some flowers and brads from my yard sale stash. The sentiment is from Close To My Heart.  Super simple and fun!

Get stitchin' and come on over and join us!

Super Simple Birthday Card!

Hi!  I'm so glad you are here! It's time for a new challenge at My Sheri Crafts and this time Peachy has set the theme of "Bling It On!" So break out your crystals, glitter and all sorts of shiny stuff!

As I was looking for the "perfect" paper for another project, I found this sheet of Bo Bunny paper that was just begging me to stamp something on it's banner, so I did!

This came from a 6x6 Bo Bunny pad called "Ambrosia".  I cut some off the top to make a 4 1/2 x 6 card topper to adhere to a card base made with cream cardstock.

This card came together so quickly!  It took longer to pick out the sentiment stamp than it did to make the whole card!

Supplies:

Paper - Bo Bunny 6x6 Ambrosia stack
Swirl gems - Recollections (cut in 3 pieces)
Individual gems - Studio G
"Happy Birthday" - Stampin' Up
Inside sentiment - Fiskars
Ink - Stampin' Up "Breeze"

Super simple and BLINGY!  Thanks for stopping by and now head over to My Sheri Crafts and check out the great stuff from the rest of the team!  See you there!
