A Cardinal Christmas card

Hello!  I hope you had a wonderful Christmas and enjoyed time with family and friends.  But, also, remembered to celebrate Jesus!

Today I have one final Christmas card to share.
This is another image from Beccy's Place that I've colored with my Spectrum Noir markers and punched out with a Spellbinder's Die.  I inked the edges of it in black and the true shape doesn't really show up in the picture.  I also added some Paper Studio bling!
I just love this red paper from The Paper Studio.  It's a rich color, beautiful embossing and shiny!
I used pop dots under the image.  The inside is finished simply with scraps of the same papers and a Paper Studio stamp.

Thanks for stopping in and please leave me a comment.  I'd love to hear from you!

Christmas Lantern Card

Wow, look at me go!  Here I am with another post!  I've been doing some coloring with my new Spectrum Noir pens and so when I had a chance to make some cards with them this weekend, I got several done.
The papers are from The Paper Studio.
The image is another one from Beccy's Place and is mounted on a Spellbinders die.

A Couple More Christmas Cards

Hello!  I have a couple more simple little cards to share with you.
I had some cuts left from some previous ornament cards so I coated them with Glossy Accents, added a jump ring and tied a bow to it!
The little image really matched this paper (which I think is The Paper Studio) and I just love the lime green! It's a layer cut from Snow Angel.  There is a solid lime green circle behind the front one, it just adds some more dimension.

I've entered this card at Bitten By The Bug2 - Baubles

This one is also a cut from Snow Angel mounted on a Spellbinder's die cut.

The background paper is from The Paper Studio.

Thanks for taking a little time to stop in!  Have a great week!

A Few More Christmas Cards

Hello and Welcome to my blog today!  I'm really glad you stopped by.  I have a couple more Christmas cards to share.  These are both made the same as the one I posted for the last My Sheri Crafts challenge.
The ornament cuts are from the Christmas Seasonal cartridge with two layers of clear embossing powder.  The edges are cut with the Creative Memories Wavy Cutter.

This pretty "Joy to the World" stamp is from Just Rite.
I added a pretty red gem to the middle of this ornament.  These were in the bottom of one of my embellie drawers!
Aren't they fun?  When you can cut several ornaments at once, put them together and emboss them all in one night, then you can go back and put the cards together another night and it feels like you have accomplished so much!  I'll have some more to post in a bit.  Thanks again for checking in!

This second card entered here:
  Aud Sentiments - Holiday sentiment
Kaboodle Doodles - Use circles in any way
Love To Create - Holiday cheer
  Paper Playtime - Christmas Colors
Pause, Dream, Enjoy - Forgotten Stash

First card with Quilling!

Hello!  Happy mid-week to you!  I've been learning Quilling and flowers seem to be the easiest thing for me to make so far.  :)  Over at Just Rite Inspiration blog, the current challenge uses some beautiful colors and I kind of wanted to join in, so here's what I made:

It's not nearly as elaborate as most of their cards, but I just love the colors and their sentiment stamps are just wonderful.

I tried three or four shots to get this close up and just can't seem to get one without any shadow anywhere, so this is the best one.

Not too bad for a first shot at quilling, do you think?  Thanks for stopping by and I would love to know hear from you!  Have a wonderful rest of the week!

My Sheri Crafts Challenge #99

Happy  Saturday! Did you do a lot of Black Friday shopping?  Not me, I sent my list with my daughter! :)  Last year was the first time I had ever gone to Wal-Mart during the "Power Hours" and that was enough for me!  I hope you have had a wonderful Thanksgiving season with your family and friends.  We have another dinner yet and then it's full swing Christmas season!

Over at My Sheri Crafts we are celebrating that it " 'Tis The Season" and we have been asked to "Create a card/project that represents what you (or someone you know) celebrates during this time of year (Hanukkah,Christmas,Kwanzaa etc)  We celebrate Christmas at our house, honoring the birth of our Lord and Saviour, Jesus Christ.  Here is my card:
The card base is an A2 size, cut from cardstock, edged with a Creative Memories Wavy Edge cutter.  I cut a matching piece from Hobby Lobby's 2010 Christmas paper.
The ornament is from the Christmas cartridge, 4 layers.  I heat embossed it twice with clear embossing powder then added gold sparkly ribbon from Wal-Mart.
This label is a Spellbinders Lables die and the stamp is from Just Rite.  I used a gold paint pen around the edge of of the label.

The inside stamp is from Stampabilities.

I really hope you will join us this week to share a  little bit about your celebration over at My Sheri Crafts .  Be sure to also check out the awesome creations from the rest of the team!  See you later!

Happy Harvest Tag Decor

Hello!  I'm so glad you stopped by today.  I have a decor project to share with you today.  I cut large tags from cereal boxes to create this little scene.

The tags cut is from Tags, Bags, Boxes and More and I think I cut them about 5 1/2"

Most of the cuts are from Simply Scarecrows cartridge and the papers are all scraps.  Some of the cuts are from Stretch Your Imagination.

After it was completed, I sprayed Krylon Spray Glitter lightly over it for just a little sparkle.

I hope you enjoyed my little scene, I enjoyed sharing it with you!  Thanks so much for checking in with me today!

My Sheri Crafts #98 Grateful card

Good afternoon and Happy Saturday!  Welcome to challenge at My Sheri Crafts!  This week we are preparing for Thanksgiving...can you believe it's here already?!?  Join us with your project showing thanks.  Here's mine:

The border punch and the gems are from Martha Stewart.  All papers are scraps, except the card base.  The ribbon is brown sheer from Celebrate It.  I've weaved it into the border punch also.

This sentiment stamp is one of my favorite Studio G stamps.  I think it's so elegant!  The tag was a cut I found in my stash.  I think it was from Storybook cartridge.  The yellow layer is a Paper Lace cut, turned diagonally.

I ran the yellow intricate cut through my sticker maker and there was a lot of adhesive showing around the edges.  Instead of using the gum eraser to take off all of it in all those small cut outs, I just sprinkled some copper glitter over it to add a little sparkle the easy way!
The inside cut is preloaded on the Imagine.  I used Tim Holz distress inks in Antique Linen and Rusty Hinge on both the inside cut and the sentiment tag.

Thanks for stopping by and please be sure to check out all the great inspiration from my Design Team sisters!  They have created some things that will surely get your Mojo going!  Join us with your Thankful creations and maybe you will receive an Ooh-La-La award or be our next Guest Designer!  Have fun!

Pixar Halloween Card

Hello!  I'm so glad you stopped by!  I have my last Halloween card to share with you today.

All cuts are from Best of Pixar and the papers are all from scraps.

I glued the door frame/character side down flat, but pop-dotted the door.  It almost looks like it really is opening out of the card!

I hope you like it.  It's a really cute cut.  Thanks for stopping by!

My Sheri Crafts #97

Hello!  Welcome to my blog and another challenge at My Sheri Crafts!
Brrrr!  The weather has changed from 80 degrees and sunny to 50 and rainy.  I think it's definately Fall!  And just in time for our challenge #97 - Use Fall Colors and 3 embellishments.  Believe it or not, I made this card for a 40th anniversary!  For these friends, a typical, frilly, glitzy anniversary card just wouldn't do!

I recently bought Spectrum Noir alchohol markers and have been practicing -- this card is my "unveiling"!  My first project using them!  I figured flowers were the best place to start.  :)

This image is from Beccy's Place.  She's got so many digis and they are so cute.  And talk about generous, MANY of them are free!

And a wonderful stamp from Just Rite:
The orange paper is a scrap from my stash, the blue paper has been embossed with a Sizzix folder and I used Tim Holz "Rusty Hinge" distress ink on the yellow and on the inside.

The ribbon is from The Paper Studio.
I struggled with what color to use on the inside!  This is the 3rd mat I used and finally decided to stick with it.  It looks better in real life than it does here.

So my 3 embellishments could be the 3 I-Rock gems or it could be Ribbon, Gems and Embossing.  Overall, I really like the way it turned out and for my alcohol marker premier --I think it works!

Be sure to head on over to My Sheri Crafts and check out all the DT inspiration.  I think you're going to love what you see!  Then get your Autumn colors out and join us.  I just love Fall and all the beautiful colors, so I'm anxious to see your creations!  Have a wonderful weekend!
