Tuesday Throwdown #158

Hello Blog Buddies!  It's time to throwdown another challenge with Tuesday Throwdown!  This week we are sponsored by Saturated Canary and our theme is "Birthday Party!"  How easy can it get?  Here's my card:

It was so fun to make!  I used papers from my stash that I've had since I first started collecting papers.

I colored her with Spectrum Noir markers, added Glossy Accents to her eyes and the cherry on her cupcake.  The plastic dot embellies were in a bunch of stuff I bought at a yard sale.  I don't know who makes them, but I hope I find some more someday!

This is a Stampendous stamp on a layered Lacy Labels circle, cut twice and sized with my Gypsy.

A little bit of fun on the inside, too!

Now it's your turn!  You know the drill....head over to Tuesday Throwdown and checkout all the great inspiration there, then join in the party!  See you there!

Blue & Brown Challenge

Hello All!  Today we have another challenge at Creative Craft Challenges and our theme is "Blue & Brown".  this week's winner will receive a prize from our sponsor

I used some My Mind's Eye papers and Just Rite stamps for my card this week.  The top paper has a brown swirl print, the bottom paper has blue and brown stripes.
The label cut is from Lacy Labels and everything is inked with Tim Holz distress inks.
I popped up the label, added some pretty brown sheer ribbon a clear heart charm and brads from my stash.  The inside is finished out with another strip of the blue paper and also inked.

Now I hope you'll head over the Creative Craft challenges to check out all the other great inspiration from the team and then join in the fun!  See you there!

Pirate Tri-fold Birthday Card - Arrrrrggg!

Hello me Mateys!  'Tis time for another challenge at My Sheri Crafts!  Charlotte challenged us with the theme "Let's Take a Trip".  Make a project that has something to do with traveling.  It could be a mode of travel, a destination, reason to travel, etc.  I decided to get out my Buccaneer cartridge and play with it.

I had a lot of fun with this!  I just love that ship!  "Ahoy, 'tis a birthday boy" is done with the Storybook cartridge, arranged and welded with my Gypsy.
To make the letters stand out better, I outlined them with a black marker.

The papers are also from the Buccaneer cartridge and are all ink distressed.  I like both papers, but that green looks like the deep green sea with big bubbles floating around!
I pop dotted the layers on both the ship and the pirate. The card base is a file I created and saved on the Gypsy.   It's a really fun card and I love how it turned out!

Thanks for stopping by!  Please go check out all the great inspiration from the other team members and then join in the fun!   Arrrrgggg!

What's The Buzz? - My Sheri Crafts Challenge #114

Oops!  Late again with my challenge post!  But I have been in the RV the past 4 days just kickin' back and relaxing, then went straight from the RV park to a family reunion today.  So I've had a great holiday and weekend so far!  I hope you have enjoyed your holiday, too!

This week at My Sheri Crafts, DT member Michelle is asking you to create a card or project with a SUMMER theme using colors of black, white & yellow.  You don't have to use a bee, just make sure you use the required colors.

This digi is from Designed 2 Delight, "Garden Party".  I think they may be going by "Digital Delights now instead of Designed 2 Delight?

I colored the image with Spectrum Noirs and added some white glitter glue for icing.

 Other Supplies used:
  Fancy Florals embossing folder-black mat
  Paper Lace - LTD Commodities
  Brads - Spare Parts Embellishments

Be sure to join in the fun after you "buzz" on over the My Sheri Crafts blog and check out all the beautiful inspiration there!

Stars and Stripes - Tuesday Throwdown #154

Hello!  Welcome back!  It's time for another throwdown with Tuesday Throwdown.  We are sponsored this week by Robyn's Fetish and our theme is "Stars and Stripes".  I used Robyn's Fetish Apple Pie digi and had a lot of fun with this card.

I love the bright colors of this and that ribbon!

I think this is the first time I've used vinyl on a card.

Does anyone else walk around with your head down and pick up stuff people have dropped 'cause you "just might be able to use that"?  I found this star in the parking lot about 2 years ago!  Finally found the perfect spot for it!

More vinyl on the inside.

Supply list:
Markers - Spectrum Noir
USA - Stand & Salute
Celebrate - Gypsy Wanderings
Scalloped square - Lacy Labels
Paper - The Paper Studio
Doily - paper doily from my mom's stash
Embossing folder - Cuttlebug Stars
Ribbon - The Ribbon Factory

Now this challenge subject is an easy one, so there should be lots of you joining in this week.  Head on over the Tuesday Throwdown and check out the rest of the team's great inspiration with some really fun images from Robyn's Fetish!
