"Get Well Soon" Paper Lace card

It's Thursday and that means a new challenge at The Outlawz Twisted Thursday!  We are sponsored this week by The Outlawz!  This month's prize is a Spellbinders Nestabilities set, so you will sure want to join in!  Challenges in our Twisted Thursday group are always Anything Goes with an Optional twist!  This week the twist is "Anything Goes".

My card this week is another "made it in minutes" card, but not quite as CAS.

The card base is another cut from Cricut's Paper Lace cartridge.  I LOVE that cartridge!  I duplicated and welded the background cut to form the card.  The top layer had "Thank You" cut out of the center, so I welded a rectangle over that to make it solid in the center.  The "Get Well Soon" is also a Paper Lace cut.  The digi is the Freebie Progressive Challenge image  at The Outlaws from the February challenge.  It's a Sandi Samples image, colored with Spectrum Noir markers.  I've mounted that onto two doilie cuts from Spellbinders Dies.

I am absolutely LOVING my new Cricut Explore machine!!!!  This card's overall size is 5 1/2 x 4 1/4, so the sentiment is only about 1" tall and look how perfectly it cut, and my mat is even an old one!  I can tell you if I had cut that on my Expression using that old mat, this would have been a wadded up mess!

Thank you for stopping by to visit today!  I hope you enjoyed my card.  Now please head over the The Outlawz Twisted Thursday and join in the fun!  You can find a challenge for every day of the week at The Outlawz!

My First Shaker Card

Good morning!  It's Team A's turn for this week's challenge at Tuesday Throwdown! We are sponsored this time by:

Our theme this week is Shake It Up! (make a Shaker Card)  I've wanted to make one for a long time, but just wasn't brave enough.  Then as it turned out, I made it harder on myself getting this one made!   I used this sweet little bear image called "Rhubarb Blocks" to make a new baby card.

I used 3 layers of the image and the shaker is cut through the card, to show on the inside, too.  The paper is from The Paper Studio.  The shaker is filled with little, tiny, multicolored seed beads I found at a yard sale.

The doilie cut is from Cricut's Paper Lace cartridge  and the sentiment is part of a wedding wooden stamp that I've had for ages.

I hope you'll check out all the great projects the rest of the team has made and join in the fun!

Made It In Minutes Easter Card

Hi folks!  Today is a new challenge day at My Sheri Crafts!    This week our theme is make a card to celebrate Easter and it must feature either a Cross, a Bunny or Eggs.  Super easy and fun!

I made this card, literally, in minutes.  Like 10 of 'em!  I usually labor over a card, sometimes an hour!  But I was running close on time and wanted a CAS card anyway.

I used a premade lavendar 5x7 card base and added a 4 1/2 x 6 1/2 piece of this sweet paper from The Paper Studio.  Both cuts are from the Easter 2010 Cricut cartridge and added a Primo flower.  That's it!  It's very simple, but it looks really cute.  The picture really doesn't do it justice, but hop on over to My Sheri Crafts and see what the other girls have created.  They're awesome!

Thanks for coming by!

I have a hard time saying one particular color is my absolute fave, but I do love this color!

"One of A Kind" Birthday Card

I'm a bit late with this post, but we have a new challenge at Twisted Thursday!  Our theme this week is as usual, Anything Goes, with the twist this week of "Use 3 of the Same Thing".

This sweet little fairy is from Whoopsie Daisy and colored with Spectrum Noir.  Two of the doilies are Spellbinder dies and the top one is from Cricut's Paper Lace cartridge.  The 3 Epoxy brads are from Studio G.

Inside I have a scrap of a Cricut diecut and the sentiment is from Close To My Heart.

Thank you for stopping by!  I hope you'll come on over to The Outlawz Twisted Thursday to check out all the great work from the rest of the team. Then join us!

Simply Fabulous!

This week at The Outlawz Twisted Thursday our theme is Anything Goes with the twist "Add Texture".   I used this fun "Froggie Divine" digi stamp from A Day for Dasies to make a "Congratulations" card.

She's colored with Spectrum Noir markers and for texture I used a piece of burlap, ribbon and brads.  The sentiment stamp is from K Andrews "Fashionable Friends" set and is on two labels from Spellbinders dies.

Come on over to The Outlawz and check out all the challenges over there..one for every day of the week!  But please be sure to join us at Twisted Thursday!
