Tuesday Throwdown 300th Challenge Anniversary & Giveaways!!

Good Morning!  It's time for a new challenge at Tuesday Throwdown!  This week we are sponsored by
and our theme is "Fairies and Fantasy"!

I used a cute, precolored image and paper from our sponsor called "Cutest Wizard":

I've imported the image and paper into Cricut Design Space and used the Print Then Cut feature to make a total of 3 layers of the wizard and toad.
The banner is also a Cricut cut using the Print Text feature, then attached with pop-dots.   The stars and "magical" washi tape are from Lawn Fawn.  Inside is a sentiment stamp from Copper Leaf Creations that says "Have a toad-ally hoppy day!"

This week Tuesday Throwdown is celebrating our 300th challenge anniversary!!!!
Come celebrate with us as we have a blog hop with lots of fun giveaways!  Be sure to leave me a comment for your chance to win my little giveaway! I have a Martha Stewart ribbon pack and POP-UPS by Plane Class.  If you're a follower of my blog, you get 2 chances so leave me another comment letting me know (entries must be received by midnight Pacific Time on Monday, July 4).    If you haven't started at the beginning of the hop, please start here.  Good luck!

Thanks for stopping by!  I hope you'll join us for this super fun challenge theme and anniversary celebration!

MHK Designs Birthday Blog Hop!

Hello, and welcome to our SURPRISE Birthday Beach Blog Hop for the lovely Asha!  You should have arrived here from Rachelle's blog.  If not, start at the MHKDesigns blog to complete the hop for more chances to WIN!  We are celebrating a very special lady today, and we're doing so by creating beachy birthday cards to wish her many happy returns!

I didn't get the theme or photo inspiration for this one, but I did make a birthday card!  lol!

I've used a cute digi  cake and sentiment provided by MHK Designs and foiled it in this electric blue.  It doesn't show very well in the pic, but it's really shiny! The white doily cut is a Spellbinder's Die and the blue doily is a Cricut cut with Colorbok foil paper.  The card is embossed with a Cuttlebug folder and I used a distressing tool around the edges.  The current challenge at Tuesday Throwdown is "Distressing" and it starts today also.  Be sure to join us there, too!

Thank you so much for joining in our hop to say "Happy Birthday" to a dear friend!  Your next stop on the hop is Tracey Mowbray's blog!   Good luck in the hop and have fun!!!

Red, White & Blue at My sheri

Hello!!!!!!!  Can you believe we are already half way through the year???  WOW it's gone fast!

This week at My Sheri Crafts Peachy is hosting and has challenged us with the theme of "Land of the Free - make a project with Red, White & Blue"

I decided to repurpose an old 8x10 picture frame.  The background paper is some flag stationery, the Praying hands were found on a Google search, then used Print then Cut feature on Cricut Explore.  I added some raffia and paper flowers, with a couple of wooden star beads.  I love how it turned out!!!!

I've entered this card here:
Eclectic Ellapu - midsummer

Since I had so much fun with that one, I made another!
The silhouette cut is from Cricut's Stars and Stripes cartridge

The quilled flowers are Cuttlebug's "Daisy" die.

Thanks for stopping by and I sure hope you'll join us!

Watercolor Resist Technique

Hello Friends!  It's time for a new challenge at Tuesday Throwdown and our theme this time is "Watercolor".  We are sponsored by Freckled Fawn

I must confess I don't remember the last time I painted with watercolors, so I wasn't sure what I was going to do with this theme.  But then I found this fun and super easy Water Color Resist Technique HERE that I used to make the background paper.

I didn't get my colors very vibrant, I'll have to work on that!

The cute, puffy stars are a gift from our sponsor, along with some other fun stuff that I'll be using on another project later.  The image is from Sliekje Stamps, the oval is a Spellbinders die and the flowers are from Creative Memories (I've had them for YEARS!)

Well, that's my "fun with watercolors" post for the day!  Hope you'll come join us this week!

Dora Tag Card

Hello again Bloggies!  This week at My Sheri Crafts, Raquel has challenged us with the theme "Tags, tags and more tags - Make a project that features a "tag"!  I made a tag shaped card for one of my "Zebra Buddies" who likes Dora the Explorer.

For the card base, I used the Flourish Tag from the Phrases Cricut cartridge, duplicated, flipped and welded.  Oh, and used the print feature on the Explore 1, which is AWESOME!!!
The stickers are leftover from my granddaughter's birthday scrapbook pages that I made several years ago.  (Those girls are both driving now!)  The stickers have a little shine to them that shows up more in this picture.  I added a few Paper Studio gems to the border sticker and one to the flower.  Cute and yet simple!  I think now that I should have welded a circle over the hole in the inside, but I guess it's o.k., especially now that it's all done and ready to mail!
If you would like to spread some smiles on some little faces fighting chronic illness and their siblings, check out Zippy Zebras Smiles & Hugs, they are always in need of more card senders.
Thanks for stopping by and I hope you'll join us this week at My Sheri Crafts!
