This stamp is from Fiskars, part of a birthday set.

Really neat, stretchy cloth ribbon is part of the Bo Bunny set.
The inside sentiment is from Stampin' Up.

So come on and join in the fun...after checking out all the DT inspiration over at Creative Craft Challenges!

Western Birthday - New My Sheri Crafts Challenge!

Hello!  I hope you're having a wonderful Saturday!  I love this spring weather and as this post goes live the hubby and I are strolling around Silver Dollar City enjoying the Bluegrass groups and the sunshine.

This week at My Sheri Crafts teamie Sandy Palmer has asked us to remember Father's Day with a male card/project that includes embossing.

I used all scraps on this one!  I love it when that works!  The stamp is from Stampin' Up.  I got the bottom part a little crooked, but actually it's straighter than the first attempt! The ovals are cut with Creative Memories oval cutters, they're mounted on a Spellbinder's Die and accented with a few pieces of raffia.  The brown paper is embossed with a Paper Studio woodgrain folder and the brads are from my "stash of treasures obtained over the years".  :>)

I love the slight dimension you get from foam dots!

Now it's your turn!  Head on over to My Sheri Crafts and get inspired, then join in the fun!  See you there!

Tuesday Throwdown #148

Hello!  As I write this entry tonight for tomorrow's post, my heart hurts for all those in Moore, OK, who have lost everything in the tornado.  Also, those sweet little children who were in school when the storm hit and destroyed their building.  So many little lives lost.  Praying comfort over those families tonight and for healing of all the little ones in the hospital.  Sometimes it's just hard to understand, but yet I know God is in control of all things.

On to the challenge at Tuesday Throwdown.  This week we are sponsored by Mygrafico - Digital Arts and Crafts Store and got to use images from their "Sail Away With Me Set".  It's a perfect set for our challenge this week as our theme is "Sail Away".
This fun little card was so simple!  That awesome paper is from The Paper Studio Nanna's Kids collection.  I just colored the MG image with Spectrum Noir pens, used a stamp that I've had for years bought from LTD Commodities and added some brads that I've also had forever.  I used a Royal Blue stamp pad around all the edges.  I also added a few asterisks around the sentiment with my silver gel pen.

That's it!  Now it's your turn to show us your Nautical side and "Sail Away" with us at Tuesday Throwdown (after you go check out all the great DT inspiration) !

This card entered here:

Creative Craft Challenge #10 Just Checking

Hi Bloggies!  It's time for another challenge at Creative Craft Challenges!  This week we are sponsored by
and our challenge is to add "checks" to your project.  No check-marks, now!

I had this little sweetie from WhoopsiDaisy already colored and just laying on my desk, waiting for me to use her.  The red check paper is from The Paper Studio.  The tag is a Just Rite stamp, cut with Spellbinders Lacy Circles die with a bit of Trendy Twine.  The brown check is a strip of fabric ribbon that was in my garage sale basket.

Thanks for stopping by today to check out my work!  Now go over to Creative Craft Challenge, check out all the fantastic inspiration and join in the fun!

This card is entered at:

My Sheri Crafts #110 3D flowers

Welcome to another Saturday challenge with My Sheri Crafts!  This week we are going 3D!  We were challenged by teammate P.G. Lamb to create a card/project featuring 3 dimensional flowers.

I used a digital flower file from Fred She Said to create my card.  I colored all layers (5 of them!) with Spectrum Noir pens, cut them out and connected them with a brad from my stash.  Then I curled the edges of each petal using a quilling tool.  It's matted on two Lacy Circles Spellbinders dies.  That fun burlap ribbon was in a basket full of ribbon I found at a garage sale!  The shiny pink came from Wal-Mart.

This sentiment stamp is from Just Rite, stamped on another Lacy Circle, matted on two Adorning Squares dies.  Can you tell I bought some new Spellbinders?  LOL!

This shot is just to show all the dimension of the card.  The paper is from Anna Griffin.

I hope you'll join in the fun at My Sheri Crafts and show me your flowers!  Be sure to check out all the team's great inspiration and leave them all some sweet comments!

Throwdown with Tuesday Throwdown! Lacy circle card

Good morning!!!  How are you doing this fine Tuesday morning?
What crazy weather we've been having!  Seriously, SNOW in May in the Ozarks?  Wow!   Anyway, it's supposed to be nice today and tomorrow, then back to more rain.  At least the drought is over!  :-)

Ah well, on to the challenge at Tuesday Throwdown.  This week our theme
is "My Mother, My Friend"  and we are sponsored by

Here's my card with one of Robyn's cute images:

When I saw this digi I was reminded so much of my Mom.  In my last post of the scrapbook page about Mom, I mentioned that she did a lot of gardening work.  We had a large strawberry bed and she made the BEST strawberry jam and jelly!  I just loved getting a sample while the jelly was still warm!

That's it!  Sweet and simple!  So now join us with your Mother's Day project, after you go over and check out the great inspiration from the rest of the team of course!  Anxious to meet you over at Tuesday Throwdown!
