Western Birthday - New My Sheri Crafts Challenge!

Hello!  I hope you're having a wonderful Saturday!  I love this spring weather and as this post goes live the hubby and I are strolling around Silver Dollar City enjoying the Bluegrass groups and the sunshine.

This week at My Sheri Crafts teamie Sandy Palmer has asked us to remember Father's Day with a male card/project that includes embossing.

I used all scraps on this one!  I love it when that works!  The stamp is from Stampin' Up.  I got the bottom part a little crooked, but actually it's straighter than the first attempt! The ovals are cut with Creative Memories oval cutters, they're mounted on a Spellbinder's Die and accented with a few pieces of raffia.  The brown paper is embossed with a Paper Studio woodgrain folder and the brads are from my "stash of treasures obtained over the years".  :>)

I love the slight dimension you get from foam dots!

Now it's your turn!  Head on over to My Sheri Crafts and get inspired, then join in the fun!  See you there!

The Crafter's Café - for a man or woman
ABC Challenges - at least 3 embellishments
Pause, Dream, Enjoy - use foam tape

  5. LOVE the texture you've chosen for this card, Sarah -- the 'fabric' die cut, the rope in your BG paper and the raffia -- which all add up to a perfectly masculine tribute!!!

  8. I love the rustic appeal that the raffia and the burlap background lends. This card is very masculine and speaks bluegrass to me. :-)
