Summer Picture Frame

Hello!  Today I have a fun picture frame for our challenge at My Sheri Crafts.  Our challenge is hosted by Marge this week and she asked us to use Fall Colors.  So I used Fall Colors to make a Summer picture frame!

I was looking through the Life's  a Beach cartridge and decided I needed to find out what a "Picture Card Frame" was, so I used my Gypsy to cut one to fit a 4x6 picture.  Now you can use this for a card easy enough, but I thought it was also great for a stand up frame for a picture from our family camping trip.

The orange polka dot paper is from Karen Foster, the flower is from Recollections and everything else is cut from the cartridge.

Well, I hope you will join us but be sure to check out all the wonderful inspiration of the design team.  There are some beautiful projects there!
Thanks for stopping by!

Tuesday Throwdown #162-School Colors

It's Tuesday Throwdown time!  This week we are sponsored by Meljen's Designs and our theme is "School Spirit (use your school colors)"

I thought this little guy was sooooo cute and Wildcat football is a REALLY big deal here, so he's perfect!
He's colored with Spectrum Noir pens, backed by a Sissix embossing folder of diamonds and a little accent of black baker's twine.
The finishing touch of a Sissix die!

Now come on over to Tuesday Throwdown and show your school spirit!  See you there!

Welcome Baby shaped card

Hello!  I went missing for a week or so, but I'm trying to get back on track here!  Today we have a new challenge at Creative Craft Challenges and it's sponsored by
Our theme this round is "Not a Square".

I made this simple "overalls" card with Imagine Nursery Tails cartridge.  I cut the background layer twice and just  used a rectangle to glue it together.

I tied a sometwine around the fold to cover up the bit of the rectangle that was showing, hand wrote the "Welcome Baby" and stamped "Congratulations" on the inside with a Hero Arts stamp.

Can't get much more simple than that!  Please head over to Creative Craft Challenge blog and check out the beautiful inspiration from the other girls.  They've made some wonderful stuff!  Thanks for stopping in and I hope to see your entries this week!

Tuesday Throwdown- Pastel Rainbow

Hello Again!  I'm so glad you came by!  Today I have a fun little card for the new Tuesday Throwdown "Pastel Rainbow" challenge.
We are sponsored by There She Goes stamps, who were generous enough to gift us with stamps to play with!    Look at this little cutie I got!
I've been looking at the Spectrum Noir blog and reading up on coloring on Kraft Paper, so I decided to try it.  I promise, she doesn't look jaundiced in real life like she seems to be in the pictures!  ;-)

I really like this stamp!  The printed paper is from The Paper studio.  I colored the image with my Spectrum Noir pens, used glitter glue on her wings and made the rainbow with alcohol inks.  I found a piece of a doily left over from another project so I tucked it in behind the image and added some mint green ribbon.

I finished out the inside with another rainbow and inked up just the bird "flying over the rainbow".

Be sure to head on over to the Tuesday Throwdown blog and check out all the inspiration and the other cute stamps from There She Goes!

New Creative Craft Challenge

Hello!  Are you ready to play some Tic Tac Toe?  It's game time over at Creative Craft Challenges!  Here's the gameboard:

This week we have two great sponsors!
  and

I chose the middle line, Gems, Flowers, Ivory and made this card with some scraps and precuts that were on my work desk.

I found the kraft mat that I had already used the corner punch on and the lable cut from Winter Woodland that were both laying on the desk.  I mounted them onto a card base and rounded the corners of it.  Then I added some Prima Flowers and cut the butterfly from Cricut Ultimate Creative Sampler 3 times, adding some gems to it.   The flowers already had gems in their centers.  The stems in the flowers are from........well, I can't remember what cartridge those were on!  :p

I stamped the frame and sentiment with a  Just Rite stamp set, turning the frame on a corner.  I embossed the stamps with Copper embossing powder.
Here you can see the shine of the copper embossing powder.  I finished out the card with a strip and a knotted bow of dark brown ribbon.

So there it is!  Now what do you say you head on over to Creative Craft Challenges, check out all the great inspiration there and then join in the game!  See you there!

Back to School Layout - My Sheri Crafts

Hello All!  How's your weekend going?  I'm having my first weekend in a while with no major commitments, so I'm good!

It's time for another challenge at My Sheri Crafts and this week Glenda  challenged us to make a project with a back to school theme.  Include a school bus or school house if you can.

I made a layout for my daughter's first day of kindergarten, but so far I can't find the album that has her baby-early school pictures.  I don't know where I put it!  Anyway, the layout is ready when I find it!

The background paper has been in my box for a couple of years and I think it's from The Paper Studio? The schoolhouse and chalkboard have also been in my stash forever.  I used a Martha Stewart Punch Around the Page border punch and Doodle Charms for the buses.

I made the sentiment with Kate's ABC's and hand cut the green base.

That's it for today!  Be sure to head over to My Sheri Crafts to check out all the great inspiration from the rest of the team and join us!  Thanks for stopping in today, I appreciate your visit!
