A Japanese "Screen" Card

Here is another try at the screen card:

"The Oriental Collection" stampset created exclusively for Cardmaking & Papercraft magazine.

The poem is one I found online and used the writing function on the Cricut for it and the thank you section..

I'm really loving these cards!

My First "Screen" Card

We have a new challenge this week at Tuesday Throwdown and our theme is "Create Your Own Background".  I've created the background on the inside of my card.

I'm excited to share this card with you today!  I saw these super cute "Screen Cards" in the Cardmaking and Papercraft Magazine and I decided I could recreate those in Design Space.  Here's the magazine picture:

And after much pasting, slicing and dicing, here is my first one:

I love how it turned out and it was so fun!  I've created the background on the inside with a foam daisy stamp that I randomly stamped on my paper before cutting it for the panels.  The poem on the left was done with the writing feature of the Cricut.  Super easy and perfect for my card!  All the diecuts are Cricut images.  The poem says:  "Mother's love is peace.  It need not be acquired.  It need not be deserved."  by Erich Fromm.

Thanks for stopping by!

A Panda Hello

Good morning!  It's time for another sweet challenge at Tuesday Throwdown!  This week our theme is "Crop Your Image" and we are sponsored by
 https://www.etsy.com/shop/KittyBeeDesign

I've used our sponsor's cute "Winter Panda" for my card.  Here is the original digi:
and here is my card with the cropped image:

I didn't do any coloring this time and used papers with lots of color.  The sentiment is made with the Write and Cut feature of the Cricut Explore, then mounted on "Doyley Circles", Cricut cuts. from The First Few Years cartridge.  The paper is from Studio 18 and the ribbon is from American Crafts.

Thanks for stopping by and I hope to see you join us this week!

From All of Us Critters

Well, Tuesday brings another new challenge at Tuesday Throwdown!  This week our theme is "Critter Crazy" and we are sponsored by:
 http://www.mygrafico.com/digital-stamps/cat_95.html

I've used 3 images from their Woodland Critters set for my card.

I like the simpleness of this one!  I printed the image and sentiment on the card base and images only a second time on scrap paper before coloring and hand cutting them out.  A little fun bling from Studio Katia and it's all done!  Well, the outside is, anyway.  Inside is a Congratulations stamp.

Thanks for stopping by and I hope you'll come join us!
