Belated Birthday cards

I finally completed the cards for the birthday I missed.  Yes, cards plural.....it was a birthday for twins in my Sunday School class, so I had to make two!  So here is the card for the little boy...

I forgot to take the pictures BEFORE I wrote in the card :p !   I wish that I had placed a sun on the front of this one, but I've already delivered it, so too late now!  All images are all from Paper Dolls for Everyday and the font is from Ashlyn's Alphabet.  Sorry about the shadows on the pictures.

And here is the card for the little girl...

I used my Gypsy and the Create a Critter cartridge to weld two of the skunk blackout features at 4", one upside down to make the card base.   Then I cut the skunk at 4".  I used the "hide" feature to crop the face, as it was smiling brightly.  The cupcake is from Doodlecharms cut at 1 1/2".  I decorated it freehand.  The sentiment is printed with Cricut markers and the Pooh font cartridge.

Yesterday I spent all day at the choir district contests.  The kids did really well overall, 9 soloists and ensembles qualified for state competition!  Kudos to all the kids for their hard work!

That's about it for this REALLY WINDY Sunday, thanks for stopping by!

Western Birthday Card

It's been a REALLY busy week.  Tuesday I took Tim back for another treatment for his RA.  Tuesday morning I had to pull him up to a sitting position on the side of the bed and then help him to stand.  Wednesday he was able to get out of bed completely on his own!!! We are praising God for bringing us to this treatment.  He has regained his ability to function on his own power and is pain free.  It's so great to see him acting like himself again!

I'm still working with kids at school to get ready for choir contest and hopefully qualify for state, so lots of time spent there.  We go to contest Saturday and have to leave at 6:45 am!  All this boils down to not much time for crafting.  So I'm posting a card I made earlier in the month.  I'm working on a cute belated birthday card.  It just keeps getting more and more "belated"!

I made this card for my granddaughter Lexi.  She absolutely loves horses and can hardly wait for her Pa to be able to get back to riding.

The haystack paper is from Hobby Lobby.  I used the Old West Cartridge for all cuts and the font.  I printed the sentiment with Cricut Markers.  The hat is a sticker.  Looking at it now, I wish I had colored in the letters.  Oh well.... Thanks for stopping by!

"Bloomin' Birthday" Card

This card is for the card challenge on Birthday Sundaes blog.  I think I'm getting it posted just barely before the deadline!
The paper is from Bo Bunny -  I won a cute paper packet from Oh My Crafts. The flowers are from George & Basic Shapes, cut at 3/4", the brads are also Bo Bunny.  The sentiment I designed on my Gypsy with Gypsy Font for "It's your" @ 1/2" and Paper Lace font for "Bloomin' Birthday" at 3/4".  I printed this with Cricut markers.
