A Quick Thank You card

Today is the day for another challenge at The Outlawz !  We are sponsored again this week by

Challenges in our Twisted Thursday group are always Anything Goes with an Optional twist!  This week the twist is "Anything Goes". That's right, it's totally ANYTHING GOES!!!

I made a quick Thank You card with another of Sherri's cute images.

The embossing folder is from Cricut, and the paper flower is from Creative Memories.  I added a little gem to the center 'cause you just gotta have at least a little bit of bling!  The image is colored, as usual, with Spectrum Noir markers.

Sending a huge "THANK YOU" to Sherri Baldy for sponsoring us this month and sharing some of her little cuties with us!

I hope you'll join us this week at The Outlawz Twisted Thursday!

I Toadily Appreciate You!

I'm back!  I did have Gall Bladder surgery last Thursday and since I haven't been up and around, I've been coloring!  Today I finally braved the stairs to go down to my craft area and make a couple of quick Thank You cards.  This one is with the image from

The inside says "I Toadily Appreciate You!"  The embossing is a Cricut Cuttlebug folder and the dragonfly ribbon is from Michaels.

Thanks for stopping by!

We're Up In The Air at Tuesday Throwdown !

Hi!  Yes, this post is really late for a Tuesday, but I've been having issues!  My Gall Bladder has decided to die off on me, so I've had attacks almost every evening and as soon as I left work today I went to Springfield to meet the surgeon and schedule surgery.  So, Thursday morning that little organ will be leaving me!

So.... on to our challenge at Tuesday Throwdown!  We are sponsored this week by

http://lacysunshine.weebly.com/
and our theme is "Up In The Air - Things That Fly"

I used Lacy Sunshine's "Jamie & Maddie" image for my card.  I colored this right after I saw my granddaughter and her date dressed for prom and was inspired by their colors.  I initially was going to make a layout page for their prom pictures, but another gall bladder attack was setting in when I needed to get the project done and I knew I didn't have enough time to make a layout, so I made this card instead.

The image is cut out with a Spellbinders die and the doves are Cricut cuts. I think the paper is from Die Cuts With a View.

And here is my inspiration.....
This is my oldest granddaughter, Kaylee, and her boyfriend, Jake. The cabin was my Mom's craft cabin and the new owner of the farm was nice enough to let them come out and take pictures there.  Personally, I think she's beautiful!!!!!

Thank you for stopping by and I hope you'll join us this week!

Mother's Day is coming!

This week at My Sheri Crafts Sandy has challenged us to "Make A Girly Card".

I used some scraps that were on my worktable to get started on this one.  The blue medallion is a Spellbinder's die, the scalloped circle is a Cricut cut.  They're mounted on some handmade floral paper with a strip of sheer yellow ribbon.  The "Mom" cut is from Cricut's Mother's Day 2010 cartridge.  The flowers were in a yard sale find and I finished it off with a bow of sheer pink ribbon.

I hope you'll join us with your girlishness!

Use Your Punches at Twisted Thursday!

Hello again!  Time for another challenge at The Outlawz !  We are sponsored this week by

Challenges in our Twisted Thursday group are always Anything Goes with an Optional twist!  This week the twist is "Use Your Punches".

I'm loving these 'Besties" images!  They are so cute!

Punches I've used on this one are  Fiskars border punch (used on 3 layers) and a little butterfly punch that has no name on it.  The circle die is from Spellbinders and the papers are from The Paper Studio.  The image is colored with Spectrum Noir markers.

I hope you'll join us this week!

Dinosaur Buddies

It's Team A's turn for this week's challenge at Tuesday Throwdown!  We are sponsored this week by

http://www.mygrafico.com/digital-stamps/cat_95.html
and our theme is "Friendship".

I've used a couple of their cute dinosaurs to make a birthday card:

The paper is from Die Cuts With a View "Nana's Kids" stack.  The label is a Cricut cut that I had laying on my work desk and the sentiment is vinyl using the "A Child's Year" font from Cricut.  The images are colored with Spectrum Noir markers and popped up.  Inside (when I get it finished) will say "Hope Your Day is Dino-mite!  Happy Birthday!"

Thanks for stopping by, I hope you'll check out all the wonderful inspiration over at Tuesday Throwdown and join in the fun!

It's National Humor Month!

Are you feeling some laughter coming on?  Well you should!  April is National Humor Month!  It's my turn to host the challenge at My Sheri Crafts, so I decided on "Let's See Something Funny!"

I love this digi from Bugaboo and I decided to try something new.  Believe it or not, I've never colored an image on the computer!  So here is my first attempt, notice there are no really close up pics of it.  :)

This is a 4x6 card when folded, so I made the base with 2 pieces of 4x12 green cardstock.  The cakes are Cricut cuts from Stretch Your Imagination and I hand-cut the banners.  The border punch is a Martha Stewart punch given to me by a friend.  The little flowers are plastic and were in a bunch of stuff from a yardsale.

I hope you'll join us for a laugh over at My Sheri!
