Thinking of You at My Sheri Crafts

Hello and Happy Saturday!  I hope you're ready for a new challenge at My Sheri Crafts!  This week Sue has challenged us to make a "Thinking of You" type card.  It doesn't have to have those exact words, but must be along that line.

I used a "Make It Now" project from Cricut Design Space and added a few of my own touches:

I love the polka dots!  The paper is from Colorbok, the gems are from Recollections and the ribbon is from Joanns.  I'm leaving the inside blank until so I can use it for a general encouragement, sympathy or get well card.

Thanks for stopping by and I hope to see you over at My Sheri Crafts!  And by the way, I actually got this post up on time!!!

I've entered this card here:

Bitten By The Bug 2 - Spring Fling & Easter Things
Crafting By Designs - 3 or more layers
Creatalicious Challenges - St Patrick's Day or use green
Eclectic Ellapu - thinking of you
Jo's Scrap Shack - anything goes

A Peacock Birthday

Oh My Word!!! I did it again and even worse!!!!  I totally failed to get my post up for Tuesday Throwdown!  And now it's Thursday night!!!!!

This week we are sponsored by
and we have a color combo challenge:
I just love these colors and that picture, too!
So here's what I came up with:

The Peacock is from Cricut's French Manonr, the base is also a Cricut cut, the label is a Spellbinders die.  The stamps are all from Close To My Heart.

I apologize to everyone at Tuesday Throwdown, but thank you for stopping by!  Come join us, you still have time!

I've entered this card here:

Sweet 16 "Photo Booth"

Well, it's here.....my first granddaughter is turning 16 today!  I'm so proud of her, yet really missing her as a toddler!  But we celebrated her birthday Sunday and just for fun, I made a car to use as a photo booth.

The car is from Cricut's Beep Beep cartridge and is cut about 3 1/2 feet tall.  I've added foam board to the back to firm it up and two yardsticks to stand it up.

We had a lot of fun with it.  She had her picture taken with everyone except me.  (sigh) Isn't that the way it goes? The one behind the camera seldom gets in front of it! :)
With little sister Lexi and little brother Wyatt.

With her mom, my daughter Jennifer.

With her Pa (my husband who loves getting his pic taken.....NOT!)

Her Papa

You can see that Wyatt  wouldn't get out of the car!
And with her G.G.  Wyatt is still "in the car", he just didn't get up into the picture.

Lots of fun!  Thanks for stopping by.  I'm off to work and then taking her to her driver's test!

We have Spring Fever at My Sheri Crafts!

Hello!  It's another Saturday and another new challenge at My Sheri Crafts!  This week Peachy has challenged us to create a Spring themed project.  I found this cute bunny image on Cricut's "Kates ABC's" cartridge and quickly cut it out.  I had the piece of lavender cut left over from another project and they easily layered together.  I submitted this photo to the group challenge page:

I just kept looking at it and liked it o.k., but felt it needed a little bit of something else.  So I added this flower:

I think it's a little better, but I'm not sure I'm liking that flower either.  I'm going to keep looking at it and if I decide on something else I'll post another pic!

For now, just come on over to My Sheri Crafts and share your Spring Themed projects with us!

A Little Easter Scene

Hello and Happy Tuesday!  This week at Tuesday Throwdown we are sponsored by   and our theme is "Create a Scene".  I used the stamp set "Eggstra Special" to create my card:

eggstra special easter

I stamped the basket twice and the tulip 4 times.  The grass is from Cricut's Mickey and Friends cartridge.  I've colored the images with Spectrum Noir markers fussy cut them.  Then I used a lot of foam dots!  I like the little scene, but it needed just a finishing touch, so I added ribbon from Joann's and a Paper Studio flower with a purple button on it, with a little bit of twine of course.  I thought the flower kind of looked like a sun shining over the bunny.

I had a lot of fun with this one, so I hope you'll hop on over to Tuesday Throwdown and join us!

It seems like it's been forever since I entered any challenges!  This card is entered here:

Creative Moments - Anything goes, optional twist of adding a sentiment on front
Digi Chooseday - Easter and/or flowers
The ABC Challenge - C is for Cute
Deep Ocean - Easter
