Tuesday Throwdown Challenge #132

WooHoo!  This is my first Design Team post with Tuesday Throwdown!  I've been truly blessed and honored this year to be on three teams.  What a wonderful group of ladies I'm associated with!  Thank you to ALL my DT sisters for letting me join in your groups!

Anyway, back to the challenge!  This week we are sponsored by Lilly Patch Stamps.  Stop by her shop and check out her stamps.  She's having a sale!

and our theme is "Bling It on!".   I used the "Flower Girl" image from Lilly Patch:

Isn't she pretty? I used two images of the girl, colored with Spectrum Noirs, and pop dotted the second girl over the first image so she stands out from the flower just a little bit.  I couldn't find just the right color of background paper so I pulled out my alcohol inks and made my own, adding a little bit of silver metallic for some more shine.  I'm not very practiced at that, but it worked this time!  The corner punches are from Fiskars and the pearls are from Say It In Crystals.  The butterflies are brads from Recollections.

Lot of texture and shine!  Now head on over to Tuesday Throwdown and check out all the great projects from the rest of the team.  Then join in with lots of bling and fun!

I Won Some Blog Candy!

Welcome to another challenge at Creative Craft Challenges!  This week we want to see you "Bling It Up"!  Our sponsor for this challenge is Dustin Pike.

A while back Michele over at Thoughts of a Card Making Scrapbooker gave away two Garden Soup cartridges.  I was blessed to be one of the winners!   YAY!!  I made her a Thank You card using the cartridge to show her how much I appreciate the gift.  I'd like to share that card with you today:
I cut the base at 5 1/2 x 6 from yellow textured cardstock.  The striped paper is from    and the green floral paper is from .

This flower is cut at 2 1/2" and the leaves are 1 1/2".  The flower layers are only glued in the middle so the edges could be curled to add some dimension.
I really liked this cute border cut that matches the flower.  I used to of them to go across the card.

The sentiment cut is the only one not on this cartridge.  It comes from Cindy Loo.  There is no shadow cut for it, so I cut it once in pink at 1"  and again in green at 1.2"

I did some doodling with a white gel pen and added some bling until I thought I better stop before over indulging! :)
The inside is finished out with some scraps of the patterned paper and there you have it!

Thanks for stopping in today!  I hope you are having a wonderful week and get your bling on and join us!!!

My Sheri Crafts #102 - Snow People

Hellooooo!!!  Welcome to another challenge over at My Sheri Crafts!  This week Glenda asked us to use Snow People.  I really enjoyed this one because I just LOVE snowmen!  I have a fair sized collection of them that I always put out after Christmas and enjoy all through January and often through February, too!

I used a light blue, 5x7 card base and Die Cuts With a View paper.
The Snow family image is a freebie from Beccy's Place and colored with my Spectrum Noir markers; Base/Frame: Lacy Labels, snowflakes are holographic paper, stars are gold foil paper
The tag is cut from Lacy Labels; Sentiment is Computer generated;   Silver glittered brad swirls are from Recollections and a great find in the Christmas clearance at Michaels and the ribbon was on clearance at Joanns.  Great after Christmas scores!
Same Lacy Labels cut, sized to fit with my Gypsy and another holographic snowflake to finish out the inside.  All edges are inked with Tim Holtz Faded Denim distress ink.

So what do you think?   I love how it turned out and am really anxious to see what you make this week.  Be sure to check out all the great work of my DT sisters over at My Sheri Crafts, join in and HAVE FUN!

Shades of Blue

Hello and Happy Friday!  I, for one, am REALLY glad it's Friday evening!  It's been a hectic week and our Upward Basketball/Cheerleading league starts tomorrow.  That means I work every Saturday from 8:00 to 5:00 for the next 8 weeks.  So I'm very thankful we have no plans for tonight!

I have a fun card to share today that I just made to enter a few challenges.
What do you think?

I embossed the card base with a MBossibilities hearts folder.  The velvet ribbon is from Celebrate It, flowers from my stash.  The feather came from a bagful that my sister found in her craft supplies and gave to me!

This is another cute Whoopsi Daisy digi, colored with Spectrum Noir pens.  I trimmed her out with decorative scissors and inked the edges with Baby Blue ink.

I was pretty pleased with it.  I'm leaving it blank as far as a sentiment.  I think it's versatile enough to use for several different occasions, so I'm waiting to add something when I'm ready to use it.

Thanks for stopping by!  I'll see you tomorrow with a new challenge for My Sheri Crafts!

Little Scrap Pieces - use a flower
My Paper Craft World - use a digi stamp

Creative Craft Challenge-New Beginnings

Welcome to my blog today!  I'm excited to post my first project as a new Design Team Member with Creative Craft Challenges

We are sponsored this time by Crafty Ribbons and our theme is "New Beginnings"!
I decided on a wedding card because just two days after being invited to join this team, I found out a friend of mine is getting married soon!  I'm so excited for her "new beginning"!!!

The frame and mat were cut from Paper Lace, using black glitter paper and silver shimmer paper.  The bride & groom are from Wedding and cut on white glitter paper.  The card base is Die Cuts With a View paper and the little tag is made from two sizes of a Spellbinders die.  The sentiment "From This Day Forward" I printed myself.

Inside I used the negative of the mat to frame the sentiment stamps.

The "Congratulations" stamp is from Stampabilities and the verse stamp is from CardzTV.  I recently won a set of their beautiful stamps over at Pause, Dream, Enjoy challenge blog.

Now it's your turn!  Come on over to Creative Craft Challenges and join in the fun! Be sure to check out the rest of the team's creations and let them know how great they are!  Can't wait to see what you create!

My Sheri Crafts Challenge #101

Welcome back!  It's time for the first challenge of 2013 at My Sheri Crafts!  We are kicking the year off with Sports Themed projects.  I made my first picture frames!
These are 5 1/2 x 4 1/2 to fit 3x2 wallet pictures.  The frames are cut from the Stretch Your Imagination cartridge, card frame feature.  All other cuts are from Sports Mania.

After I put it all together, I distressed the edges with Antique Linen distress ink.

I embossed one frame with a woodgrain folder.  I really like it, but the paper tore very easily afterward so I didn't do the other one.
Yup, that's my refrigerator!  I glued magnets to the back!  This was a fun project and now makes me want to do some more!

Get your crafting year started and join us with your sports project!  Love to see what you create!
