Puppy Congrats!

It's time to show some pride this week at Tuesday Throwdown.  Our sponsor this week is http://samistamp.blogspot.com/
and our theme is "Proud of You!"

I used Sami Stamps' Cup Pup2 for my graduation card:

I decide to make the whole layout a little "wonky", just for fun and because that's about how you usually feel when graduation day is over!

The image didn't come with the cap, that's just a simple square with a black brad holding down some black & white twine.  I added 2 small pop-dots to the front of it and a glue dot on the top corner so it would be tilted a bit.  The image is colored with Spectrum Noir markers, the top lable is a Sizzix die and the tag and sentiment are Cricut cuts.

Thanks for checking in and I hope you'll join us this week!

Marshall from Paw Patrol???

Good Afternoon!  Today at My Sheri Crafts Sandy has challenged us to "Accessorize" our projects - Add either pearls or bling or both!  Well I needed a card for a little boy, so I went with some blingy stars.

This card is for another of my little Zebra Buddies who likes Paw Patrol.  I thought this cute pup from Cricut's Animal Kingdom looked enough like Marshall to work, don't you?  The fire truck is also a Cricut cut from City Transportation.  The paw prints are a Sizzix die and the background paper is from The Paper Studio's Nana's Kids collection.  The stars are oooooold ones from my stash and I don't even know what company!

I think he's cute and hopefully a 5 year old little boy will think he's Marshall!

Thanks for stopping by!

I've entered these challenges:

Send a Smile for Kids - bright colors
ABC Challenge - "H" is for Heavy (lots of dies & embellishments)
Alphabet Challenge - "F" is for "Furry Friends"
AUD Sentiments - anything goes with a sentiment

A Monster Birthday

It's Team A's turn again at Tuesday Throwdown and this week we are sponsored by Create A Smile Stamps and our theme is Embossing (wet, dry, paste...).  I love embossing, but so often I don't even think about adding some to my projects, so I was glad to see this theme!

I've used a freebie from our sponsor, called Monster1 and Monster Sentiment, that you can find here.

Both embossing folders are from Cuttlebug and all the papers are scraps!  I love it when I get to use up some of those!!!  I've colored the little monster with Spectrum Noir markers and used a simple toothpick for the banner "pole", which is stuck in place with mini glue dots.  I've cut a tiny hole in his arm to "hold" the banner.

This was a fun image to work with, fun embossing and overall a really fun little card to make!
Thanks for stopping by and I hope to see you over at Tuesday Throwdown!!!

I've entered this card here:
Cards and More - masculine cards
Digichooseday - birthday celebrations
Ike's World - embossing
Love To Scrap - Anything goes

3D Hot Air Balloon!

Hello and Happy Saturday!!   It's my turn to host the challenge at My Sheri Crafts and I went with "Nothing Flat".  I'd like to see 3D items, but anything that isn't flat will work.
I've seen some of these Hot Air balloons and I've really wanted to make one, so when my mother-in-law asked if I could come up with some type of hot air balloon picture or something for her to give a friend, I decided this was it!  I bought the "High Skies" svg kit from svgcuts.com, grabbed some beautiful K & Co. papers and went at it!

For a first attempt, I'm really pretty pleased!  The only issue I had was that the score lines cut as a completely separate layer and then the base pieces of the balloon were cut with no score lines, so I took them to the scoring board.  Anyone have a suggestion as to why that happened and what I do about it?  On my mat it doesn't show them separate and look like they'll be done all in one cut, but then they split up when I hit "Go" in Design Space.

Anyway.....I do like how it came out and I'd like to make more, but I'd really like to figure out the glitch first.

I hope you'll check out all the great inspiration over at My Sheri Crafts and then join in the fun!!!

I've entered this project here:

Crafting By Designs - May anything goes challenge
Eclectic Ellapu - May anything goes
Open Minded Crafting Fun - Easter, spring, pastel colors

A Ladybug Hello

Hello Sunshine!  This week at Tuesday Throwdown we are sponsored by
 http://www.mygrafico.com/digital-stamps/cat_95.html
and our theme is "Welcome Spring".  I've used an image from our sponsor for my simple card:

I've colored the image with Spectrum Noir markers and layered it up and popped it up with pop-dots.  The card base is a Cricut cut.   A little a bit of ribbon that I've had for years and there you go!

Thanks for stopping by and I hope you'll join us!
