Bullseye Valentine

I finally got my last Valentine done for this year, and then failed to get it posted!  Here's my Bullseye the Horse Valentine...

and I made him a wobbler!

Inside I used the writing feature for my sentiment:

The card base is from Cricut's "French Manor" and I added a scallop frame cut from "Gypsy Wanderings", a basic heart shape from the Design Space shapes and of course, Bullseye from "Toy Story".  This really came out cute and I had a lot of fun with him, especially after I added the googly eyes!

Thanks for stopping by!

Sticky Note Cover

Hi!  I'd like to share a new project with you.  I bought several of the sticky note pads at Michaels a year or two ago and they've been in my project drawer all that time!  I needed a little gift and decided it's high time to fix one of these.
This is a different pad than I used in this particular projects, but it's the same style.  I started by trimming the cardboard backing as close to the pads as I could.
My first try I used a piece of a recycled cereal box but once I covered it and lined the inside, it was too thick and stiff.  So this time I just used two layers of cardstock and lined the inside with a patterned paper.

The lady I'm giving this to likes seashells.  I looked and looked for the right paper in my stash and finally found some that a friend had given me.  I cut a seashell from Cricut's Mermaid Party and added that to the corner.  A small strip of white velcro finished it off.  I have some tiny, real seashells that I kind of wanted to add to the flap, but decided that would be too thick and make it less handy to keep in her purse.  I'm pretty satisfied with the end result...I hope she will be, too!  I think I'll try some more of these.

Thanks for stopping by!

"Confetti" Birthday Card

It's Tuesday, so you know what that means...another fun challenge at Tuesday Throwdown!  This week we are sponsored by

and our theme is "Confetti".

I love these sweet ladies that our sponsor let me work with.  This image set is called "Birthday Friends"and I've used their pre-colored image for my card.

My background paper is an OLD piece from my scrap stash and has confetti and birthday hats on it.  I've also glued tiny little seed beads to look like they're blowing confetti out of their party horns.  You can't really see it in the pictures, but I also used a gold gel glitter pen over the candle flames to add a little shimmer.

I used my Sew Crafty Mini to sew the image onto a Cricut scalloped frame. I've welded a square onto the frame to make it a solid mat cut, then I've used some pop dots to add a little dimension.

The sentiment is also part of the image set from our sponsor.

Super cute image set!  Thank you "Sparkle & Sprinkle" for the images and for your sponsorship!

Come on over and check out the rest of the team's images and join the fun!

Two More Valentines

I have a couple more valentines to share today. The first one is from Cricut's Intricate Cut Quotes and inside I used the writing feature.

This one is a simple scalloped heart card base with the Valentine Bear from Teddy Bear Parade

Again, I used the writing feature on the inside.

One more to make and I'm done!

Word Collage Valentine

This card base and envelope are from Cricut's Valentine's Day cartridge.  I added a scalloped square, also a Cricut cut with the Valentine Day from Word Collage cut in red vinyl.

The really small words in the word collage didn't come out well for me in the vinyl, so I didn't use the whole cut.  But I still achieved the look I was going for.

Truckload of Valentines

I've made a few Valentine cards in the past couple of weeks, so I want to share them with you.  Here's a fun one I made using the dump truck from Cricut's Beep Beep cartridge:

I duplicated the card base, welded a square in the windshield to make it solid and duplicated that, flipped it and welded the those two pieces together to make the base.  I used the basic heart shape from Design Studio and the writing feature to make my "conversation hearts" and tucked them under the top layer.

I used my computer to print the sentiment on some clear sticker paper because I forgot to use the writing feature on the inside before I cut it out.

I really like how this one turned out, I think it's pretty cute!
