My Sheri Crafts Challenge #132

It's time for a new challenge over at My Sheri Crafts!  this week Peachy chose the theme "In Celebration of Moms."  Create a project to celebrate that special woman in your life....or even yourself!

This butterfly background piece is from the Cricut Paper Lace cartridge, the labels are from Storybook and the sentiment is from Mother's Day 2010 cartridge. I added a little red ink to the pink cardstock cuts to make them stand out a little from the lighter paper and it matches the roses in the light side.  I love this pretty paper from K & Co!

That ribbon looks black, but it's really a nice dark brown that matches the paper almost perfectly!

I had a bit of trouble getting the sentiment cut.  I tried several different things but the "er's" just wouldn't seem to work.  I was left with a perfect "Happy Moth Day" cut, but I just couldn't figure out what to do with them!  Finally it dawned on me to change the blade and it cut perfectly!  Sometimes I'm just a little slow!

I hope you'll jump over to My Sheri Crafts to check out all the beautiful inspiration and join in the fun!

Celebrating You, Mom!

It's Tuesday Throwdown day!  This week we are sponsored by Sassy Studio and our theme is "Never lose your Sparkle (use lots of sparkle)".  I've used "Lounging Around Sassy" to make a not-so-typical Mother's Day card:

Supplies:
Outside sentiment - Studio G
Inside sentiment created on my computer
Markers - Spectrum Noir
Die Cut - Spellbinders
Flower & gems - my stash
Glossy Accents (on eyes)

Thanks for checking out my project and I hope you'll join us in this fun challenge!  After all, who doesn't love to play with lots of bling??????

Have a Cupcake!

Here is one more card I made this week.  I had this sweet Whoopsi Daisy girl colored and laying on my worktable just waiting to be used.   She's colored with Spectrum Noir markers.  I also had this label cut from Storybook laying on the table that I had left over from another project.  The sentiment is cut from Gypsy Wanderings.

I added a strip of cupcake ribbon I picked up at Hobby Lobby a long time ago and a piece of lace from my stash.  I ran the lace through my Xyron and then sprinkled white glitter over it to catch in the adhesive.  On the inside I cut a matching larger lable in white and left it blank.

Well, I'm all caught up now!  I have tomorrow off, so hopefully will have more to share this weekend!

I hope  you have a wonderful, blessed Easter weekend!

Cute & CAS Easter cards

HI!  I just want to share a couple of cute and simple Easter cards I made the other night.  They literally just took minutes to do but turned out pretty cute (in my opinion).  All the cuts are from the Easter 2010 cartridge and created/welded with my Gypsy.

How much simpler can you get than a cute bunny cut from glitter paper?

I've entered this card at
Bitten By the Bug2 - Easter projects
Die Cuttin' Divas - tic tac toe (bunny or chic, glitter, shaped card)

I've always liked this egg cut.  This time I didn't use any glitter paper, but  added glitter to the cut out areas.

The sparkle shows up a little bit better in this pic.

The inside stamp on both cards is one I've had for years and bought from LTD Commodities.

That's it!  They were really fun and I'm thinking my grandkids will like them.  I sure hope so anyway!  :-)  Thanks for stopping by!

The Secret to Staying Young...

It's almost "National Moment of Laughter Day" (April 14)  So this week at My Sheri Crafts, DT Sister Charlotte has asked us to create a project that contains some humor!

I made a card base with some pretty K&Co paper.  The frame is a Just Rite stamp that I embossed with lavender embossing powder and then lightly inked the edges.  The circle mat is a Spellbinders die.  The flowers are a conglomeration of my stash and the sentiment is from Fiskars.

Fairly quick and easy, the part that took the longest was picking out and arranging the flowers!  That's it!  Now get those corny jokes pulled out and dusted off and join us at My Sheri Crafts.  Have fun!

Into Every Life....

Hi folks!  It's Tuesday Throwdown time and I have a fun, very CAS card to share.  Our theme is "use the elements".  We are sponsored this week by Digital Delights and I've used their "Dilly Duck in the rain" image.

I just kind of had fun with this and typed up all the sentiments myself with CK Dandy font. The paper is from Martha Stewart and I colored the image with Spectrum Noir markers.  I hope you like it!  Come on over to Tuesday Throwdown and join us!

Angel in Purple

Hello and Welcome to my blog today!  I have been looking at some of the many images I've got colored up and laying around and decided it's time to get another one used!  This sweetie is from Whoopsi Daisy and colored with Spectrum Noir markers.

The scallop circle is a Spellbinders Die and the flower is cut from George & Basic Shapes, cut in 4 sizes.  Inside I used a stamp from Hero Arts that says "Sending You a Smile".  That pretty purple paper has been in my stash awhile and if I get the name on it, I'll edit the post to add it in.  For now, this is it!  Hope you like it!  Thanks so much for stopping by!
