Happy Birthday My Sheri Crafts!!!

My Sheri Crafts is turning 2!  We are celebrating with a new challenge.  Let's do fun birthday projects (cards, invites, favors, party decor) for toddlers or kids under 5. Bright colors, balloons, cupcakes....NO elegant cards...FUN, FUN, FUN!!!

I decided to go with a tri-fold card:

The papers are from Bo Bunny, the font is from Disney Pooh Font and welded with my Gypsy.

This cute little baby "Tigger" is also from Disney Pooh Font, the balloons and cupcake are from Doodlecharms.
The pictures don't really show how soft and pretty the card is.  The pink shows up kind of flourescent.  I'm not much of a photographer, which you can tell if you can see the date on the pictures.  Really, I just made this card, but I can't seem to get the date set on my camera and keep it there!

Anyway.....thanks for coming by and now I hope you'll jump on over to My Sheri Crafts and check out all the team's projects.  Then join us with your fun kids birthday projects!  I hope to see you there!

Praying for You Card

I'm back with another one!  I had a pretty productive day yesterday!  My husband and I both teach Sunday School, so both of today's posts are for people in our classes.  He asked me to make a card for a man in his class who is fighting a brain tumor.  Here is the card:

The card base is from dark brown cardstock.  The patterened papers are from Die Cuts With a View.

I made this sentiment on my Gypsy, welding the shadow cuts of the letters.  I used just a touch of glitter around the edges.  Since the card is for a man, I didn't want the card to be blingy, but a little sparkle never hurt anybody! :)

This beautiful butterfly cut is from Home Accents.

The patterned paper has an antique look with brown distressing, so I distressed the edges of the blue cardstock to match.
Tim wanted everyone in the class to be able to sign it, so I finished out both sides of the inside.

I hope you and our friend both like the card.  Please let me know what you think!  I'm also entering this card in Flutter By Wednesday's challenge.

Spring Piano Recital Card

Happy Sunday!  Thanks for stopping by today.  I want to share a card with you that I made for a girl in my Sunday School class.  She just started piano lessons in January and had her first recital last weekend.  She had 2 songs to play in front of a judge and she received a "Superior" rating!  I was really tickled for her and wanted to send my congrats to her.  Here is the card I made:

This is an A2 card on pastel green cardstock.  The paper is from The Paper Studio.  I just love that paper and this is just about the last scrap I have left!
This stamp is from Hero Arts and inked with Stampin' Up markers.  Can you believe I've had this stamp for probably 2 years and this is the first time I've used it?!? I used scallop scissors to cut the pink base for it.  The green piece is embossed with my new M-Bossabilities music folder.  The ribbon is from Wal-Mart and the bling is from my stash.
This piano cut is from A Child's Year.  I used Glossy Accents on the "keyboard" strip.
A few pop-dots for dimension and finish out the inside
with more scraps and you have a card that I'm lovin'!!!

Thanks for stopping by today and please let me know if you like my card!

I'm also entering this card here:

Happy Birthday Hanneke!

Today I wish a big "Happy Birthday" to my sweet blogger friend Hanneke! And for her birthday, she is giving someone else a gift!  To enter for her blog candy, she asked us to make her a birthday card and send it to her.  She loves making cards and sending them out, but doesn't have local friends or family who create cards, so she doesn't receive any. So she asked for some that she can admire.  What a fun idea!

Hanneke is so good about leaving sweet, encouraging comments that I thought this Studio G sentiment stamp was perfect for her.

The patterned cardstock is from K & Co.  The cut is from Lacy Labels.  I'm just beginning to discover what a fantastic cartridge that is!

The inside is finished out with scraps of this cardstock.

With the last of this paper, I finished out the envelope to match the card.
Hanneke, I hope you enjoy the card , receive lots of handcrafted cards to enjoy and have a wonderful, blessed birthday!!!

This card also fits these challenges:

A Tiger Birthday!

Hello!  Today I wanted to make a quick post of Lexi's birthday card and cake.  As you may have seen on my post about her cupcakes, she wanted a tiger birthday.  So here is her card:

The card is cut from a scrap of textured cardstock and the patterned paper is from The Paper Studio (I think...I'll have to check on that again!).

The  "GRRRR" is cut from Animal Kingdom, the "eat" is from Alphalicious and the rest is from Pooh Font.  The corner punch is from Martha Stewart.
This tiger is also from Animal Kingdom.  I added some doodling with a white gel pen and accented the tiger with a silver gel pen.

I was SOOO pleased with this cake!  I took the bakery a picture I had printed off the internet and they scanned it onto the cake!

Isn't that cool!  Lexi saw the cake on the table when she came in the door and RAN to it with a  big "Ooohhhhhh"!  Made her Mamaw happy!
If you look close, you can see that Wyatt is already licking his lips in anticipation! :)

Well, I'm off to the school for Kaylee's birthday now!  Unfortunately, she didn't decide she wanted me to bring cupcakes in time for me to make her any decorations.  After all, she's a big 6th grader now and she's struggling with still wanting Grandma to do stuff, but feeling maybe she's too old for it.  Little does she know, you never really outgrow needing your Grandma!

It's Challenge Time Again At My Sheri Crafts!

Hello again and Happy St.  Patrick's Day!  I hope you are having a fun and crafty weekend.  It's time for a new challenge at My Sheri Crafts today.  Easter is coming and this week we are asking you to create a card or project with spring's gorgeous pastels.  You also need to be sure to check out the blog post to help us welcome (back) our new Design Team Member!!

 Here is my card:

The card base is cut at 5 1/2 x 6 from lavendar cardstock and that cute patterened paper is from The Paper Studio.  The egg cut is from Easter 2010 cartridge, cut at 4".  I used a light blue glitter paper from Colorbok for the top layer and cut a small scrap of light pink to back the flower cut.  You might notice that I used the same glitter paper on my previous post---I LOVE that color! :)

Isn't that a pretty cut?

The sentiment is cut from Holiday cakes at 1"

I used pop dots behind the cuts and added a yellow bow from my stash and a pink button from Wal-Mart.  You can see that I finished the inside with a piece of the pink cardstock and a strip of the patterned paper.
I love these colors and am happy with the finished card.  I hope you enjoy it and find some inspiration from it.  Now pull out all those pretty pastels and join us at My Sheri Crafts!  You just might be our next Guest Designer or win an "Ooh La La" award!

This card is also entered here:

Tiger B-Day Cupcakes

Hello again!  Two posts in one day....what's up with me?  lol!  Well my little Lexi is 11!!!!  She wanted a "Tiger Birthday" this year as she has decided that tigers are her "favorite animals in the world" right now.  :)  So for her school party I made some tigers from Animal Kingdom cut at 2 1/4" and stuck them in the icing.  Easy Peasy!!!
Lexi was really tickled with them and as she passed them out to her classmates I heard some of the kids ask her where I got the tigers and she very proudly answered "My Grandma made them!"  Yeah, my heart swelled!

I saw that Fantabulous Cricut's challenge was for a cat, lion, tiger, etc., so I thought I would enter this project there.  Thanks for stopping by again!  Be sure to check back tomorrow afternoon for a new challenge from My Sheri Crafts!

I Love The Colors of Spring!

Happy Friday!  I hope you are having weather as beautiful as we are here!  It's a sunny 76 degrees in SW Missouri and I'm about to go out and finish mowing my yard!  But first, I have an Easter card I want to share with you.  I love the colors of spring and have made a few projects already with these pastels.

This card is 5 1/2 x 6, cut from Nana's Kids paper stack.  The chick, scalloped egg and sentiment are cut from Easter 2010; the umbrella and boots are from Create a Critter.

The blue glitter paper is from Colorbok and I used my I-Rock to add pink metal glitter brads from Imaginisce.  I just love that shade of blue!
The edges are inked with a Violet ink pad and I did a little doodling with a violet marker.

This corner punch has no name on it!  The only information on it is "Made in China" and "Not for children under 5".  :-)  I think maybe I ordered it from LTD Commodities.

As you can see here, I pop-dotted the chick and finished out the inside with a strip of the patterned cardstock and of pink cardstock.  All the paper used on this card are scrap pieces!

Thanks for stopping by and I hope you have a fun, creative weekend!

This card will be entered here:
Bitten By The Bug 2 - bunny or chick
Celebrate the Occasion - Any occasion, must use metal (metal brads)
Do You Stack Up - favorite color (light blue on egg)

This is my card closed:

And here it is open!  It's a 5x7 card made from dark green textured cardstock and the papers are from Die Cuts With a View.

"Lucky" was cut from Creat a Critter and the sentiment was cut from Pooh Font and welded on my Gypsy.
The pot of gold was cut from Paper Doll Dress Up and I used Glossy Accents on the gold to add more texture and shine.
The Top Hat and shamrock are also from Paper Doll Dress Up.
I added some doodling with a white gel pen and pop dotted the pot of gold to hold the easel and there you have it!
I hope you will join us with your easel card with a Shamrock.  You just may be our next GuestP Designer!  Thanks for stopping by and have a wonderful weekend!
