Welcome to a new challenge at My Sheri Crafts! This week we are welcoming kids and teachers Back To School. Create any project related to a school theme. I had some pictures of Grandparent's Day that I had not scrapbooked yet so I decided now was a good time.
This fun background paper is from my stash and doesn't have a name on it. I've been holding on to it for a long time. With the paper being so busy, I didn't want to use very many embellishments. So I just added a few coordinating stickers.
I found some cute border strips from Mrs. Grossman's Design Lines in my stash. These strips look like the lined paper used to teach writing, so I wrote Lexi's name across it as if she were practicing. I loved the crinkled look of the border, it reminds me of that crinkled border teachers use on their bulletin boards!
Notice the title block says "1st grade" ? She started 6th grade this year! I'm still just a little behind on my scrapbooking!
But now it's your turn to get your crafty cap on and show us your school related projects! Maybe we will see you as our Guest Designer next week or you might get an "Ooh-la-la" button . Be sure to stop by all the blogs of my Design Team sisters and see their fantastic projects. Hope to see your projects linked up over at My Sheri Crafts!
Cute layouts Sarah! The background paper works great with the cute photos! Love the border strips! I am bit behind with scrapbook pages of my grandkids too!

What a fun layout Sarah! Cute paper! LOVE seeing pictures!!! :)
ReplyDeleteI agree you're a bit behind with your LO's, Sarah, but the important thing is you've gotten one more done!!! Sure that your GD will cherish this FUN page as she gets older (maybe after her 20's?) and that you took your creative time to commemorate a fond memory for her!!! I hope if/when I become a Grandma I'll still have the energy to keep up with all I hope to do?!
ReplyDeleteI'm behind in layouts as well... especially my kids' school layouts. I love what you did here and love love love that background paper you used!
