Patriotic Lantern

It's time for another fun challenge at My Sheri Crafts and Glenda has chosen "Happy 4th of July - Make a Patriotic card or project".  I used a Silhouette cut file to make a fun lantern

I used fiber twine to make a "chain" and ribbon to cover the top and bottom.

I used some of the extra stars to hand down inside the lantern.  It really needs something else, but I just don't know what to do yet.  I'll keep studying on that!  Meanwhile, you head on over to My Sheri and check out the rest of the teams great projects!

I've entered this project here:

Jo's Scrap Shack - used red, white & blue
Silhouette Challenges - anything goes

  2. Sarah, love your lantern so much fun. As Glenda said it looks good as it is but its your baby and you'll know when its done. Can you put a little tea light in it, you know those fake ones that don't burn?

  5. Oh Sarah! This lantern is awesome!!! You know I love making projects and this is really cool. It's perfect in every way and if you think there's still something missing... a light of some sort... LOL! Use a battery operated tea candle. We don't want this project burning up now.
