Hey Santa Baby...

I don't make too many cards for my husband, but this image just seemed like the perfect one for his Christmas Card.  :)   This is a great Simply Betty Stamps image for the new Freebie Progressive Challenge at The Outlawz!  Come on and join the fun!

She's colored with Spectrum Noir pens and the papers are all scraps from a Paper Studio Christmas paper pad I bought a couple of years ago.  The outside sentiment is cut from red vinyl with the Cricut Font and placed on a tag cut from Tags, Bags and More. the inside I typed on my computer. I added a few gems from my stash (alias "The package is gone, so I don't know whose they are!")

The image is mounted on a Spellbinder's die and all the papers are scraps from my stash!  The poinsettia is one I had cut a couple of months ago and had left over.  I believe it's a Sillouhette cut.

Baby It's Cold!

Baby it IS cold outside!  I'm so thankful for a nice, wam house!

Winter = cold in my mind, hence my card:

I love this red, embossed foil paper!  I bought a bag of "paper scraps" from The Paper Studio several years ago and I've used some of this red just about every Christmas.  The poinsettia cut is from the "Cricut Seasonal Cartridge "Christmas".  I typed the sentiment on my computer and cut it out with a Spellbinders die.

The first sentiment is  Stampin' Up stamp, the second is a Stampabilites stamp.

I've used CraftyGirl's "Stocking with Doodles" for my card:

I used my Glitter Gel Pens again for this one to add a little sparkle.

I printed two of them and popped it up.  The 'Merry Christmas' is a Cricut cut.  I added a second shadow cut to it.

This is a super easy theme, so we ought to be seeing a lot of you there!  Have fun!

I've kind of had fun this year adding some non-traditional colors to some of my cards and lots of sparkle!  

This sentiment stamp is from Just Rite Stampers and I used some purple wire to make my jump ring.  A purple gem on the bow, then some little gems for "snowflakes" and there you have it.

Bling It On!

Good morning!  I hope you are staying warm 'cause it's cold around here!  I hope this isn't an indication that our whole winter is going to be early, cold and icy.   Well, I guess if it is, I should be able to hide in my craft room a lot!  :)  

It's Team A's turn to host the new challenge at Tuesday Throwdown.  We are sponsored by Robyn's Fetish and our theme is "Bling It On"!  Seriously, who doesn't love bling???

I've used RF "Gilded Christmas Dove"

I colored the image with Glitter Gel pens and mounted it on a card base made with two different cuts from Cricut's Lacy Labels cartridge.  This shot shows the sparkle of the gel pens on the image.  It almost looks like plastic in real life.

The gems are from The Paper Studio.  They are corner pieces, but I opened them up wider to fit the card shape better.

This stamp is from Stampabilities.
