Shaped Gift Card - New Baby

This week at Tuesday Throwdown our challenge theme is "Bundle of Joy" and we are sponsored by the ever awesome
 http://www.mygrafico.com/digital-stamps/cat_95.html

I've used our sponsor's sweet Mama and Baby Elephant image to make a gift card.

I colored the image with Spectrum Noir Colored Pencils in gray and pink.  The card shape is a Cricut card base from "Sentimentals" cartridge, available in Design Space.  This card measures 3"x 3 1'4".  By duplicating one side of the card base and sizing it just a bit smaller, I cut the patterned paper, which is a scrap from my stash.  Since the card is so small, I thought a tiny bow was all the embellishment it needed.

Thanks for stopping by and I sure hope to see you join us at Tuesday Throwdown!

Baby Moon Shaker Card

It's time for a new challenge at Tuesday Throwdown !  Our sponsor this week is

and our theme is "Add Pearls or Gems"!  Now who doesn't love that theme?!?!?!

I've used our sponsor's image "Baby Moon" to make a shaker card.

The image is colored with Spectrum Noir markers and I added a paper doily with the center cut out to frame the hole.  I tied a triple bow  and added a few gems.  Inside I've used pink pearl mini beads.

Inside I've used two Cricut label cuts and a poem stamp from Stampendous and Congrats stamp from Stampabilities.

Thanks for stopping by and I hope you'll hop on over to Tuesday Throwdown to check out all the gorgeous inspiration there, then join in the fun!

"New Addition" at Tuesday Throwdown

Hi Folks!  Time for another new challenge over at Tuesday Throwdown.  This week we are sponsored by All Dressed Up and our theme is "New Addition".
https://www.etsy.com/shop/alldressedupstamps
I've used our sponsors image " A Star Is Born" for my baby congratulations card:

The image is colored with Spectrum Noir pencils and cut out with a Spellbinder's die and mounted on a negative piece of a Cricut cut that I kept just for this type of thing.  The ribbon is from Offray, the pins have been in my stash for years, but I think they're from Spare Parts Embellishments (maybe) and the paper is from a paper pad I received as a prize a couple of years ago from Amy at Love To Craft.  The inside sentiment is a Stampabilities rubber stamp.

Thanks for coming by, please let me know you've been here and then come join us at Tuesday Throwdown!

My First Shaker Card

Good morning!  It's Team A's turn for this week's challenge at Tuesday Throwdown! We are sponsored this time by:

Our theme this week is Shake It Up! (make a Shaker Card)  I've wanted to make one for a long time, but just wasn't brave enough.  Then as it turned out, I made it harder on myself getting this one made!   I used this sweet little bear image called "Rhubarb Blocks" to make a new baby card.

I used 3 layers of the image and the shaker is cut through the card, to show on the inside, too.  The paper is from The Paper Studio.  The shaker is filled with little, tiny, multicolored seed beads I found at a yard sale.

The doilie cut is from Cricut's Paper Lace cartridge  and the sentiment is part of a wedding wooden stamp that I've had for ages.

I hope you'll check out all the great projects the rest of the team has made and join in the fun!

Baby Congrats Easel Card

It's Thursday and that means a new challenge at The Outlawz Twisted Thursday!  We are sponsored this week by
https://www.etsy.com/uk/shop/LeeHIllustrations

Challenges in our Twisted Thursday group are always Anything Goes with an Optional twist!  This week the twist is "Make an Easel Card".

Lee generously gave us this digi to used and I made a card for my niece:

I wanted the teddy bear to look fuzzy, so I used the "dot"technique with Spectrum Noir markers.

The scalloped oval is a cut from the Cricut Easter 2010 cartridge, then the other ovals were cut with  the Creative Memories system.  The airplane and banner are from the "New Arrival" cartridge and the sentiment stamp is from Pink By Design.  I love that stamp because it's a pretty script and small enough for these little cuts.

Do you ever find that you've bought something you were just sure you would use a lot, so you bought several colors of it?  Well, several years ago those little safety pins in white, pink, blue, green and yellow......this is the first time I've used any of them!   Oh well.....I've got 'em if I need 'em!

Anyway, come on over to The Outlawz and see all the great inspiration from the other Designers and join us for a chance at some great prizes!

Star Accordion Mini Scrapbook

Hi!  It's time for a new challenge over at Tuesday Throwdown and this week we have a recipe challenge!  The recipe is 1 Image, 2 Papers and 3 Flowers.  We are sponsored by "A Day For Daisies" and I got to use this sweet image "A Gift From the Stars" and I made a mini album with the fun "Star Accordion" technique.  One of my friends bought one of these albums at a yard sale and gave it to me to "figure out how that was done and make one!"  :)  So I figured it out, made one, then looked through mini-album pictures until I found it so I knew what it was called!  The actual pattern uses 3  12x12 papers, but I only used 2 and made an album for a baby shower gift for my niece:

This is the view when you first open it up. You can only get 2 4x6 pictures on one side as the rest of the squares have a fold in them.  You could put smaller pictures on those if you wanted.

These two tags have been in my stash since I first started scrapping!

These two cute animals cuts are from Crictut's "New Arrival" cartridge

This is the view when you turn it over.  I wanted her to be able to add  a couple more 4x6 pictures.

This digi stamp is from Digi Darla.

The labels are preloaded cuts on the Cricut Imagine.  Papers are from "Nana's Kids,Baby Boy" paper pad.  The stamps are rubber stamps (on labels) are from Stampendous and Stampabilities.

Sorry this is such a picture heavy post, but there's a lot to look at! We are having a "Scrapbook Baby Shower" in a couple of weeks.  Emily isn't a big paper crafter, so we will be making layout pages for her so all she has to do is add pictures!  Now...shhhhh....no one tell her about this album yet!  :)

But DO head on over the Tuesday Throwdown and check out all the great inspiration there, then join in the fun!

What are Little Girls made of????

Hello and Happy Saturday!  I hope you had a good week and are thoroughly enjoying your weekend.  It's time for a new challenge at My Sheri Crafts and we are hosted by Sandy.  She asked us to add at least one heart to our card/project.

I used a sentiment from Bugaboo and simply colored the hearts then mounted it onto a Spellbinders cut.  Back in the summer I bought a Sew Crafty Mini  and finally decided to try it out.  Well.....after I broke the needle, replaced it and inserted it wrong, downloaded the instructions and fixed my error, I finally got a little stitching done on this card! (and then covered up most of it!) But I did stitch the lace on the bottom and you can still see most of the stitching across the top.  ;-)

These paper flowers from Creative Memories really add a lot of dimension along with the lace from my stash and ribbon from Really Reasonable Ribbon.

Scraps and another paper flower on the inside finish this one.  Hmmmm.....NOW I see that I should have stamped "Congratulations" on the inside, so imagine that in there, okay?  It'll be there by the time this post goes live! LOL

Come on over the My Sheri Crafts and join in the fun!  Maybe you can snag one of our new "Ooh-La-La" buttons!

Thanks for checking in today!

I've entered this card here:

Catch The Bug - anything goes
Eclectic Ellepu - anything with texture
Southern Girls - new
Crafter's Cafe - ribbon and/or lace
Jo's Scrap Shack - celebration
In The Pink - diecuts or punches

Welcome Baby!

Good morning!  It's Tuesday Throwdown day!  Our challenge is sponsored this week by My Grafico and the theme is to make a one-layer card.

It was so hard not to add some ribbon!  ;)  This cute image is from My Grafico.  I wanted to keep it really simple, so I only colored in a few spots.  The sentiment I made with Bradley Hand font.  The dots are glue dots with glitter.  I embossed some lines down the side and across the bottom, using my Martha Stewart score board, but they don't show up very well in the pictures.  Be sure to heard over to Tuesday Throwdown and check out all the beautiful inspiration, then join in the fun!

This card entered here:

My Craft Spot - polka dots
Party Time Tuesdays - anything goes
Try It On Tuesday - celebrations (new baby)
Creative Creations - less is more

Welcome Baby shaped card

Hello!  I went missing for a week or so, but I'm trying to get back on track here!  Today we have a new challenge at Creative Craft Challenges and it's sponsored by
Our theme this round is "Not a Square".

I made this simple "overalls" card with Imagine Nursery Tails cartridge.  I cut the background layer twice and just  used a rectangle to glue it together.

I tied a sometwine around the fold to cover up the bit of the rectangle that was showing, hand wrote the "Welcome Baby" and stamped "Congratulations" on the inside with a Hero Arts stamp.

Can't get much more simple than that!  Please head over to Creative Craft Challenge blog and check out the beautiful inspiration from the other girls.  They've made some wonderful stuff!  Thanks for stopping in and I hope to see your entries this week!
