"Oh Happy Day" Sliding Card

Today I have a sweet little card to share with you for our new challenge at Tuesday Throwdown.  This week we are sponsored by Lawn Fawn and our theme is "Interactive Card".

This isn't the card I had originally planned, but it's what I ended up with and I think it came out kinda cute, so it worked out after all!  It has 2 slides, just for added fun.  lol

Our awesome sponsor provided some of their sweet product for us and I used their "Hello Sunshine" set.  I received a set of clear stamps and dies to cut out all the shapes.  I loved this set!!!  Thank you Lawn Fawn!!!!

I hope you'll join us!

Rise and Shine Birthday Card

Hi!  Today I'm sharing a fun card I made for my husband to give to a friend.  I used vinyl for the image and the sentiment inside.

The inside sentiment is a Cricut cut that is perfect for the image I used:

This is also my DT card for Tuesday Throwdown.  This week we are sponsored by our very own Kim of Lily Patch Boutique!    Our challenge theme is the ever popular "Anything Goes", so we should be seeing a lot of you!!!

Thanks for stopping by!

Cute Dragon Panda

Hello!  This week at Tuesday Throwdown, we are sponsored by
"https://www.etsy.com/shop/KittyBeeDesign
and our challenge theme is "Playing Dress Up".

I've used our sponsor's image "Halloween Panda" for my card:

Inside is a simple "It's your Birthday!"

I thought this little guy was really cute and a lot of fun to color.
I used Spectrum Noir markers and two Cricut circles for his background.  A little twine finished it off nicely.

I hope you'll join us this week!  Thanks for stopping by!

A Lovely Birthday

This week at Tuesday Throwdown our theme is "Anything Goes"!  We are sponsored by

I've used an image I found in my file that I had already colored and it matched perfectly with some pretty paper from that stack of 4 1/2 x 6 1/2 cardstock that I've determined to use up!

Then I found a scrap  laying on my work desk from a previous project that coordinated well.  In looking for something to mat the image, I went through my box of diecuts that were extra or rejected from other projects and found this half circle and the filigree cut.  I love using up scraps!  It makes me feel like I'm cleaning out clutter!

On the inside I used the writing feature of the Cricut Explore and Violet satin marker.

That's all for today.  Thanks for stopping by!

"Tag It" at Tuesday Throwdown

It's Tuesday so that means another awesome challenge at Tuesday Throwdown!  This week our theme is "Tag It" and we are sponsored by
 http://thepapershelter.com/

I've used the beautiful "French Brunch Paper: and their precolored image "Yummy" for my card

I printed the "Yummy" image on their pretty paper and on another piece of scrap.  Then I fussy cut the image on the scrap and added it to the original print with pop dots for some added dimension.
The tag is a Cricut cut and I've used the write then cut feature for it and for the inside.

Thanks for checking in!  I hope to see you join in the fun this week!

"Confetti" Birthday Card

It's Tuesday, so you know what that means...another fun challenge at Tuesday Throwdown!  This week we are sponsored by

and our theme is "Confetti".

I love these sweet ladies that our sponsor let me work with.  This image set is called "Birthday Friends"and I've used their pre-colored image for my card.

My background paper is an OLD piece from my scrap stash and has confetti and birthday hats on it.  I've also glued tiny little seed beads to look like they're blowing confetti out of their party horns.  You can't really see it in the pictures, but I also used a gold gel glitter pen over the candle flames to add a little shimmer.

I used my Sew Crafty Mini to sew the image onto a Cricut scalloped frame. I've welded a square onto the frame to make it a solid mat cut, then I've used some pop dots to add a little dimension.

The sentiment is also part of the image set from our sponsor.

Super cute image set!  Thank you "Sparkle & Sprinkle" for the images and for your sponsorship!

Come on over and check out the rest of the team's images and join the fun!

You Still Rock!

This week at Tuesday Throwdown we are sponsored by !  And our theme is "For the Men".  I've used our sponsor's image called "Metal Mick" to make my card.

This was such a fun image to color!  I used my Spectrum Noir markers and fussy cut the image.  I've used pop dots to  mount it onto a circle which I wrote and cut with my Cricut Explore and a Cra-Z-Art marker.   The blue strip is embossed with a music "M-Bossibilities" embossing folder from Sizzix, run through my Cuttlebug.  The background paper is some really old scrap I have had forever.

This is a pretty simple, but fun card.  I hope you like it, too!  Be sure to stop by Tuesday Throwdown to check out all the great DT examples and then join in the fun! See you there!

We're Stitching At Tuesday Throwdown!

Hello!!!  It's time for another new challenge at Tuesday Throwdown and this week we are sponsored by our very own Kim Sherrod!  http://www.amusestudio.com/kimsherrod

Our theme this week is "Stitching".  I saw a card on the front of Cardmaking and Papercrafts magazine and I just loved it, so I made my own version of it.

It's a little simpler than the one on the magazine, but I love it.  The sentiment is a freebie from the magazine and the border is a Cricut cut.  The papers are scraps from my stash and the flowers are from The Paper Studio.  I stitched around the edge of the card on my sewing machine.

Thanks for stopping by and please check out all the other great creations at Tuesday Throwdown!

Wildflower Birthday Card

We have a new challenge over at Tuesday Throwdown and this week we are sponsored by
Our theme is "Your Favorite Embellishment".

I've used an image from our sponsor, "Spring Bouquet" and "Ruffled Wild Orchid Sentiment" to make this card:

It's colored with Spectrum Noir Colored Pencils, cut out with a Sizzix die and both are mounted on a Cricut scalloped circle cut.
I'm not sure I can say this card has just one favorite embellishment.  I love to use die cuts, sheer ribbon (especially tied in a double bow) and gems.  I also love to ink around the edges of my cards!  If I do have to choose just one fave, I guess it would have to be the.....well...I just can't decide!   LOL!  I do love using my Cricut, though!

Come on over and join us!

Western Birthday Card

Hello!  I have a new card to share and I love how it turned out.  I made it for this week's challenge at Tuesday Throwdown, but due to internet trouble I wasn't able to my sponsor image downloaded in time for the challenge post!  I'm telling you, I LOVE our new house, but I HATE our internet service here!  But I'm trying to hang in there because fiber optic is on the horizon.  Just 6 to 8 more months, they tell me.

Anyway, our sponsor is
                                                 http://www.doodlepantry.com/
The challenge theme is "Festive Pumpkins".  I obviously didn't follow that theme, but I used a pre-colored image from our sponsor's Western Combos set and 3 of the digital papers that came with it.  I love this set and I believe I'll be using them quite a bit!

The border is a Martha Stewart border punch.  The metal star is cut from a metal garland.  The card it's wound on is blank, so I have no idea who the manufacturer is.

I used 2 stamps from Close to my Heart to finish it out.

My apologies to Doodle Pantry for not getting a project included in the challenge this week!

Basket of Apples Birthday Card

Hello!  I'm glad you're here because it's time for a new challenge at Tuesday Throwdown!  We are sponsored this week by Robyn's Fetish and our theme is "Leaves".
I've used our sponsor's image "Basket of Apples" for my card:

I've colored it with Spectrum Noir markers, cut it out with a Spellbinders die and inked it up with Tim Holtz distress inks. The stamps are from Pink by Design's "Bountiful Blessings" stamp set.  The background paper is from The Paper Studio and the leaf brads are from Recollections.

The inside "I'm thankful for you" is from the same Pink By Design set and the Happy Birthday is from Close to My Heart.

Well thanks for stopping by and I sure hope to see you over at Tuesday Throwdown!  Have a great, crafty week!

Birthday Bicycle

Hello!  It's Saturday!  WooHoo!!!  I hope you have plans for a great weekend.  Part of what makes this weekend great is a new challenge at My Sheri Crafts!  This week Glenda has challenged us with the theme of "Travel -  Make a card/project with a mode of travel..car, truck, plane, etc"  Not a travel theme, a MODE of travel.  I used this great bicycle cut from Cricut and did a little inking:

I just have to say, I LOVE how this one turned out!!!  The mat and tag are also Cricut cuts.  The "Birthday Girl" stamp is from K Andrews "Take the Cake" set.  The awesome papers are from K&CO.

I handmade the double bow from some old sheer ribbon in my stash and used a little bit of gold wire to attach the tag

With the scrap left from my sheet, I made a liner for a pre-made envelope.

I hope you like it and I so appreciate you stopping by!  Please hop over to My Sheri Crafts and check out all the other great makes from the team, then join us!

Have a great day!

Easy As ABC, 123!

Hello!  Today brings another new challenge at Tuesday Throwdown!  This week we are sponsored by:

http://www.mygrafico.com/digital-stamps/cat_95.html
And our theme is "School Spirit!"

I've used our sponsor's image "Blackboard and Owl" to make a birthday card:

The image is colored with Spectrum Noir markers and fussy cut.  The background paper is from The Paper Studio's "Barnwood Pretty" pad.
I made the image into it's own layered flap to hide this stamp, which is from Close To My Heart.

Inside, I wrote by hand.  I don't like that nearly as well, but it's what I could get done this morning!  :)  I may go back and print that on the printer, but mine apparently has passed away.  :(

Thanks for stopping by!  Please let me know you were here and then check out all the other great inspiration at Tuesday Throwdown!

Go Wild Cat!

OK, the internet at my new house and I are going to have it out soon!  It's been fine, then it's sloooooowwww, then it's fine and when I came home from work Friday---the router was completely dead!  It had been malfunctioning for over a week and I had talked to the phone company and was assured a new router was on it's way, should be here Tuesday.  So Friday I told them the router was dead and where is my new one?  Their answer...."Well Ma'am, the operator didn't actually complete the order so it was never sent to you."  UGGGGHHHH!   So now it's supposed to arrive today, so we will see if UPS left it for me when I get home.  No internet all weekend, so I'm using a little down time at work to get this posted.  But I'm wondering this:  if I called the first time on Thursday and the earliest I could receive it was Tuesday, how come I can call on Friday and receive it on Monday????

OK, another rant over.....

So here's my card for our new challenge at My Sheri Crafts.  It was my turn to come up with the theme and since the Olympics start this week, I thought we needed to make something Sports Related.(any sport)

We had a week of Rodeo Bible camp, then a week of daycamp at work and I haven't been in my craft room for waaaayyy too long, so I pulled out a card I made a while back but never had posted.  This cut is from Cricut's Sports Mania cartridge.

The "Go Wild" a partial Cricut cut and "Cat" is welded type I added.  I actually made this one on my Gypsy a couple of years ago.

Thanks for allowing me to use an old project this week!  My summer commitments are slowing down now, so I should be able to get back in my craft room...now if the internet just works!

Thanks for stopping by!

"Happy Birthday" at Tuesday Throwdown

Hi Crafty Bloggies!  Today starts a new challenge at Tuesday Throwdown and we are sponsored by
http://www.winniewalter.com/Winnie & Walter and our theme is "Happy Birthday".

I've used "The Big, the Bold and the Happy" clear stamp set from our sponsor.
I removed "birthday" and "happy", inked up the whole set with black to make my background, then inked up the two words in a deep pink and added them back onto the page.  The burlap flower is from The Paper Studio (I think!) and I tied a double bow from sheer ribbon.

A simple finish on the inside and you can see the dimension on the front.

Thanks for stopping by and I sure hope you'll check out all the great DT inspiration over at Tuesday Throwdown, then join us!  See you there!

MHK Designs Birthday Blog Hop!

Hello, and welcome to our SURPRISE Birthday Beach Blog Hop for the lovely Asha!  You should have arrived here from Rachelle's blog.  If not, start at the MHKDesigns blog to complete the hop for more chances to WIN!  We are celebrating a very special lady today, and we're doing so by creating beachy birthday cards to wish her many happy returns!

I didn't get the theme or photo inspiration for this one, but I did make a birthday card!  lol!

I've used a cute digi  cake and sentiment provided by MHK Designs and foiled it in this electric blue.  It doesn't show very well in the pic, but it's really shiny! The white doily cut is a Spellbinder's Die and the blue doily is a Cricut cut with Colorbok foil paper.  The card is embossed with a Cuttlebug folder and I used a distressing tool around the edges.  The current challenge at Tuesday Throwdown is "Distressing" and it starts today also.  Be sure to join us there, too!

Thank you so much for joining in our hop to say "Happy Birthday" to a dear friend!  Your next stop on the hop is Tracey Mowbray's blog!   Good luck in the hop and have fun!!!

A Monster Birthday

It's Team A's turn again at Tuesday Throwdown and this week we are sponsored by Create A Smile Stamps and our theme is Embossing (wet, dry, paste...).  I love embossing, but so often I don't even think about adding some to my projects, so I was glad to see this theme!

I've used a freebie from our sponsor, called Monster1 and Monster Sentiment, that you can find here.

Both embossing folders are from Cuttlebug and all the papers are scraps!  I love it when I get to use up some of those!!!  I've colored the little monster with Spectrum Noir markers and used a simple toothpick for the banner "pole", which is stuck in place with mini glue dots.  I've cut a tiny hole in his arm to "hold" the banner.

This was a fun image to work with, fun embossing and overall a really fun little card to make!
Thanks for stopping by and I hope to see you over at Tuesday Throwdown!!!

I've entered this card here:

This week we are sponsored by

I just love these colors and that picture, too!
So here's what I came up with:

The Peacock is from Cricut's French Manonr, the base is also a Cricut cut, the label is a Spellbinders die.  The stamps are all from Close To My Heart.

I apologize to everyone at Tuesday Throwdown, but thank you for stopping by!  Come join us, you still have time!
