Guest Design spot for Die Cuttin' Divas!

How exciting to be a Guest Designer for the Die Cuttin' Divas Challenge!  This week the challenge is a sketch and I love the sketch they are using:

and here's my take on it:

All papers and the lacy medallion are printed and cut with the Imagine cartridge "Lori's Garden".  The medallion is mounted on a Just Rite lacy circle stamp, which is then on a Spellbinders Lacy Circle cut.  I added a few gems and strip of ribbon.  Inside I used a sympathy stamp from My Sentiments Exactly.

Be sure to head over to Die Cuttin' Divas and check out all the great inspiration there and join us!

I've entered this card here:

First Easter Card of 2014

Hellooooo!  It's time to be getting ready for Easter and I've got my first Easter Card of the year.  At Tuesday Throwdown this week we are sponsored by Pink Cat Studio and our theme is "Digi Dimension-make part of your image pop."  I've used this cute bunny in a basket from Pink Cat and layered the bunny up a bit.

Here you can see the layers.  I have two layers of the bunny and bow and a 3rd layers of his egg.  I was really back and forth as to how much inking I wanted to do on this one.  I wanted to keep it pretty crisp, so decided not to ink the flowers or the edge of the Spellbinders circle, but now I kind of wish I had!  Ah well, I think it's still cute!

Come on over to Tuesday Throwdown and join us!

Supplies list:

Card base - cut with Creative Memories Circle Cutter
Scalloped circle - installed cut on Imagine

Funky Christmas

Happy Saturday!  We have another challenge at My Sheri Crafts for you!  This week Raquel challenged us to a "Funky Christmas - Make any project using NON-traditional Christmas colors (no typical green/red/white only or white/blue only. You CAN use those colors but MIX it up with something else!)"

These reindeer are from Cricut Imagine Santa's Village.  The sentiment stamp is from Just Rite and cut out with a Spellbinders die.  That crinkly ribbon is some of my loot from my recent win at Little Scrap Pieces.  The paper is from Daisy D's.  I kept staring at this thinking it needed something else, but I didn't know what it was.  I finally pulled out a plastic net bag I had saved from a frozen ham and cut a chunk out of it.  I liked it!

This is a Ink-a-Dink-a-Doo stamp and another strip of the Daisy D's paper.
And there you have it!  Come on over and get funky with us!

Entered here:

A Quiet Snowy Night

Hello Bloggies!  I've several new followers since I have "Welcomed" anyone, so Welcome to my new friends and old friends, too

I hope you are all having some beautiful weather like we are here.  I absolutely love Fall!  It's a pretty close tie with Spring on my favorites list.

It's time today for another challenge at My Sheri Crafts and we were challenged by Charlotte to "create a project that is all about the night".  I had to get some Christmas card sets ready and one of the scenes I used looked like a quiet, snowy night so I used it.
This is completely an Imagine project using the Snow Angel cartridge with a bit of ribbon I bought at Wal-Mart last winter.  I love this coordinating paper, also from this cartridge.

As I looked at the picture, I decided it wasn't necessarily a nighttime scene, so I used my white gel pen to add a moon and stars, so now it is definitely a nighttime scene!  :)

So come on over to My Sheri Crafts and join in with your night project!  See you there!

I've entered this card here:

Hello and welcome to another Creative Craft Challenge!  This week we were asked to "Alter It" and are sponsored by
Recently I received a perpetual calendar as a door prize.  I'm not crazy about bugs, so I altered it!

I went with birds instead!

I printed this great bird paper with Cricut Imagine Blossoms cartridge.

Added a label from Lacy Labels and a great stamp from Just Right Stampers plus a few flowers from my stash and there you go! The stamp is kind of hard to read in this picture, but it says "Autumn arrives at early morning, but Spring at the close of a winter day".  Now I love it!  :-)

Thanks for stopping in today, now go alter something and join us at Creative Craft Challenges!

My Sheri Crafts #98 Grateful card

Good afternoon and Happy Saturday!  Welcome to challenge at My Sheri Crafts!  This week we are preparing for Thanksgiving...can you believe it's here already?!?  Join us with your project showing thanks.  Here's mine:

The border punch and the gems are from Martha Stewart.  All papers are scraps, except the card base.  The ribbon is brown sheer from Celebrate It.  I've weaved it into the border punch also.

This sentiment stamp is one of my favorite Studio G stamps.  I think it's so elegant!  The tag was a cut I found in my stash.  I think it was from Storybook cartridge.  The yellow layer is a Paper Lace cut, turned diagonally.

I ran the yellow intricate cut through my sticker maker and there was a lot of adhesive showing around the edges.  Instead of using the gum eraser to take off all of it in all those small cut outs, I just sprinkled some copper glitter over it to add a little sparkle the easy way!
The inside cut is preloaded on the Imagine.  I used Tim Holz distress inks in Antique Linen and Rusty Hinge on both the inside cut and the sentiment tag.

Thanks for stopping by and please be sure to check out all the great inspiration from my Design Team sisters!  They have created some things that will surely get your Mojo going!  Join us with your Thankful creations and maybe you will receive an Ooh-La-La award or be our next Guest Designer!  Have fun!

My Sheri Crafts Challenge #96

Hello again!  I hope you are having a great, Autumn weekend!  I love this time of year!  It's cooler, we finally have had some nice rain and the trees are actually showing some color.  I was so afraid they wouldn't.

But it's time for a new challenge with My Sheri Crafts and we are looking for anything Halloween Related.  I've made my first Halloween card this year for one of my grandkids.  It's also the first project I've made with my Imagine Buccanneer cartridge and the first time I've printed paper!

The "happy halloween" is from Holiday Cakes, but the "Have A" is from Billionaire and I used my Gypsy to weld the letters and make a shadow cut.

Isn't he a snazzy pirate with his purple feather?  I cut all the layers and pop-dotted them so he has lots of dimension.

<-  And the inside.  I hand wrote the "Or You;ll" on the sword.  On both mats I used a distressing tool from Creative Memories, inked the edges with Tim Holz "Rusty Hinge" distress ink, then lightly wet the edges and scrunched it up.

What do you think?  I kind of like it and it was lots of fun to make. Now it's your turn!  I'd love to see your Halloween creations linked up at My Sheri Crafts!  Be sure to check out all the Design Team inspiration and our guest designer's beautiful work!

Sing Your Song

 Hello!  Happy Grandparent's Day!

I have a card to share today that's really a different style for me.  What do you think?  I used my Gypsy to make a card base and welded a birdcage shadow to the edge.  The shadow cut is from Serenade cartridge.

This is how the card looks laying flat.  I added a strip of lace from a bag of goodies a friend gave me.  I  distressed the edges with rose pink and antique linen.  As you can see I need some practice on that!  :)This sentiment is my own and computer generated.  The lables are Just Rite Floral Ovals.  The charm is from my stash.

Here is another version of the card with a sentiment from Just Rite stamps.  I may use this for a friend who will be moving.  I also added another strip of the ribbon across the lace.

This stamp is from the Christmas Wishes set.  Obviously this isn't a Christmas card, but I really like the font.

The birdcage and bird are from Lori's Garden Imagine cartridge.  I used all the layers and changed the papers from blue to pink.  I had some fun playing with that!  I'm still pretty much a novice with the Imagine.

Anyway, I'm please with how it turned out.  I hope you like it.  Thanks for stopping by and I hope you have a wonderful week!

My Sheri Crafts #93

Happy Labor Day!!!!  I hope you have a wonderful weekend planned.  As this post goes live (I hope!), we are heading back home from a short vacation and then enjoying the holiday at home.

Welcome to another My Sheri Crafts challenge!  This week we are saluting white.  Labor Day is traditionally the last day to wear white, so show us your card or project of any type that is White On White!  Here's my card:

The card is an A2 size .  I cut a piece 1/4" smaller and ran it through the crimper. The next layer is another 1/4" smaller and embossed with a Sissix folder.  It doesn't show really well, but I used a silver metallic marker around all the edges.

This lable is an Imagine cut.  The second layer is silver foil paper.  I added a few gems to the flowers on the embossing.  The sentiment stamp is from Pink by Design.
I just love this white ribbon with silver metallic threads.  It came from Wal-Mart.

To finish the inside I just used another strip of white, edged with the silver metallic marker and wrapped it in the ribbon.

Now it's your turn!  Get out your white before the Fall colors set in and join us at My Sheri Crafts!  Be sure to check out all my Design team sisters blogs and leave some bloggie love!  Can't wait to see your creations and find out who is winning some "Ooh-La-La" Awards!

Fun Accordion Fold Gate Card

Hello and thanks for stopping by!  I have a fun card to share with you today.  I saw this card in the Cardmaker magazineFUN FOLDS -- Caution and just fell in love with it.  So I had to give it a try with my own theme.
I know that sometimes I'm a bit thickheaded, but I didn't quite get the directions straight and after cutting my second sheet and still coming out wrong, I just decided to make it work.  So mine has an extra fold, but it works!

This sentiment is from a Disney stamps set.  I've had this set for a couple of years and this is the first time I've used it!
                                          Isn't this fun?
This little cutie is from Whoopsi Daisy, the label is pre-installed on the Imagine and the sentiment is an old stamp I bought from LTD several years ago.  All edges are inked with a Plum inkpad from Stampabilites and I added a few I-Rock gems here and there.

Die cuts are from Disney Dreams Come True, Disney Happily Ever After and George & Basic Shapes.

This one was definately a learning experience, next time I'll have some better measurements for all those little sections!!!  Thanks for stopping by!

Die Cuttin' Divas - use Yellow, Orange, Gray & Purple

Just Rite Friday Challenge

Hello and HAPPY FRIDAY!!  I'm really looking forward to this weekend.  Tomorrow I get to spend the day with my granddaughters and Mother In Law at Silver Dollar City!  Girl Time!

This afternoon I completed a card I had started a few days ago.  I decided I needed to use up some things I had laying on my work desk so I picked up a strip of little ballerinas I had printed on vinyl right after I got my Imagine.  These are from the "Santa's Village" cartidge, but I didn't have the settings right for it to cut through the vinyl, so it just kind of scratched the surface.  So I cut one out and stuck it on some scraps of pink and violet handmade paper and added a flower from my stash.  Well, it still needed something to make it pop.  The Just Rite Friday challenge this week is to use colors from the opposite sides of the color wheel.  When I added the yellow, it was just what this card needed!

The sentiment is a Just Rite stamp from the Old Friends set.  I had the violet flower already glued down and found a yellow one to add to it.   The right side looked kind of blank, so I simply added some yellow metal brads and it gave it a little more balance.

I just love this sentiment.  It's a 2" circle stamp, edges inked with violet ink and mounted with pop-dots.
What do you think?  Not too bad for a messed up cut and scraps, huh?  Thanks for stopping by and I hope you have a wonderful weekend!

Summer Gazebo Layout

Hello!!!!  We are lookin' for some Summer Lovin' over at My Sheri Crafts this week!  Create a project with a summer theme...cards, layouts, altered project, etc.

I've been wanting to use the Gazebo cut on the Freshly Picked cartridge so I decided this was the perfect time!  The background paper is from Karen Foster Designs and the paper used for the mats is from Paper Pizazz.

The border is made by welding two gates and two fences from this same cartridge.  I just love this gazebo!  The hardest part of the whole project was getting the vines cut!  I cut two sets in the light green and one set in the dark green and 4 sets of the flowers.  I added a pink dot in the center of each flower with a pink gel pen.

The borders on the photo mats are a Fiskars punch--one of my favs!

I didn't have any pictures printed to use in this layout, so I decided to leave the title mat blank for now.  The mat is an Imagine pre-loaded cut.  As you can see, I used the extra flowers to embellish the mats and just here and there!

I hope you like the layout, please tell me what you think of it!  And then get to your craft area and let's see your summer project!  You also need to check out all the things created by my Design Team Sisters and our Guest Designer, Barb of Bug Bites.  They all do such beautiful work, you're sure to find some inspiration from them!  Don't forget to have fun with it!

I hope you have a blessed week and come back and see me again soon!

Hugs & Kisses!

Hello!  Thanks for stopping by today!  I have a card I would like to share with you that I made this afternoon just to enter into a few challenges.  I used the sketch from Whoopsi Daisy's challenge for this week:

And here is my card:

This little cutie is from Whoopsi Daisy and I colored her with Crayola colored pencils.  The circle was cut with Creative Memories circle cutter at 4" and is mounted on a cut from Lacy Lables.  The ribbon behind the ilabel is a Disney Tinkerbell and butterflies print bought at Wal-Mart.  The butterfly is cut from the Cricut Ultimate Creative cartridge.

The dotted paper is from The Paper Studio.  As you can see, my camera is still acting up and adding some neon colors here and there!   >:(
This stamp is from Studio G and stamped on a piece of scrap that I cut with scalloped scissors.
This inside stamp is also from Studio G and the paper is a cut that is preloaded on the Imagine.  The challenge over at My Craft Spot is to have a sentiment both inside and out.  Otherwise I probably wouldn't have posted this picture--the camera really looks bad here.

Anyway, I really like the card in real life!  It was fun to put together and I hope you like it.  Thanks for checking in!  Oh yeah---Tim agrees that I need to go camera shopping!!!!!

I'm entering this card here:
