My First Spring Wreath!

I made my first Spring Wreath!

The "Welcome" cut is a Cricut cut that originally said "Welcome Baby" but I sliced it.  It was so much fun and I really like how it turned out, so I just had to share it with you!

Valentine Candles

Welllll....I've been on vacation ALL week and finally got to spend a little time in my craft room on Friday!  I made some candles for Valentine's Day that I took to my Flea Market booth.  I hope someone takes a shine to 'em!

This last one really isn't a Valentine candle, but I still like it!
Thanks for looking in!

I'm entering these in the challenge at:

Snowflakes Are Fragile Frame

Hello Everyone!  Today I have a frame to share with you that I made for our challenge at My Sheri Crafts.  Our theme this time around is "Winter - anything that makes you think of winter".  I always think of snow and I love snowmen, so this was a no brainer for me!

I found this sweet saying on the internet, author unknown, and loved it!  I know this is hard to read in the picture, it says "Snowflakes are one of nature's most fragile things, but look what they can do when they stick together."
The fonts are Elizabeth and Cricut Font.  I made my background paper with a rubber stamp and white embossing powder.  The snowman is a Cricut cut and this frame is a $1 find at a yard sale.

I added some simple snowflakes, also Cricut cuts, from white glitter paper.

Of course I needed some snow, so I put in some "Buffalo Snow Flakes" at the bottom.  A few flakes are drifting around, though!

It's really hard to get a good picture of these frames because of the glare and reflection, but I love how this one turned out!

Thanks for stopping by and I hope you'll pop over and join us!

Fall Box Decor

Hello again!  It's time for a new challenge at My Sheri Crafts and I have such a fun project to share!  Sandy has challenged us with the theme "First Day of Fall - Make a Fall Card or Project".

The other day I was at Hobby Lobby and found some super cute "Pumpkin" blocks that said "FALL" on them and I a-l-m-o-s-t bought them, but decided not to.  That very evening when I was catching up on email, I found My Scrap Chick had a cutting file to make the very same boxes with paper and right now it's on sale for $1(I paid $5)!  I was so happy!  I bought it right away and got started cutting!

I cut the file without resizing and it's perfect!  All I added was some inking and some raffia bows.

Thanks for stopping by, I hope you like what you found here!  Please come join us over at My Sheri Crafts!

Red, White & Blue at My sheri

Hello!!!!!!!  Can you believe we are already half way through the year???  WOW it's gone fast!

This week at My Sheri Crafts Peachy is hosting and has challenged us with the theme of "Land of the Free - make a project with Red, White & Blue"

I decided to repurpose an old 8x10 picture frame.  The background paper is some flag stationery, the Praying hands were found on a Google search, then used Print then Cut feature on Cricut Explore.  I added some raffia and paper flowers, with a couple of wooden star beads.  I love how it turned out!!!!

I've entered this card here:
Eclectic Ellapu - midsummer

Since I had so much fun with that one, I made another!
The silhouette cut is from Cricut's Stars and Stripes cartridge

The quilled flowers are Cuttlebug's "Daisy" die.

Thanks for stopping by and I sure hope you'll join us!

3D Hot Air Balloon!

Hello and Happy Saturday!!   It's my turn to host the challenge at My Sheri Crafts and I went with "Nothing Flat".  I'd like to see 3D items, but anything that isn't flat will work.
I've seen some of these Hot Air balloons and I've really wanted to make one, so when my mother-in-law asked if I could come up with some type of hot air balloon picture or something for her to give a friend, I decided this was it!  I bought the "High Skies" svg kit from svgcuts.com, grabbed some beautiful K & Co. papers and went at it!

For a first attempt, I'm really pretty pleased!  The only issue I had was that the score lines cut as a completely separate layer and then the base pieces of the balloon were cut with no score lines, so I took them to the scoring board.  Anyone have a suggestion as to why that happened and what I do about it?  On my mat it doesn't show them separate and look like they'll be done all in one cut, but then they split up when I hit "Go" in Design Space.

Anyway.....I do like how it came out and I'd like to make more, but I'd really like to figure out the glitch first.

I hope you'll check out all the great inspiration over at My Sheri Crafts and then join in the fun!!!

I've entered this project here:

My First 3D Paper Flowers!

This week at My Sheri Crafts our new challenge is from Sandy and she's asked us to celebrate Moms by making something with flowers.

I've been seeing so many of these spiral cut flowers and they all look so wonderful that I just had to try them.  Mine don't look nearly as beautiful as so many I've seen, but I really like this wreath anyway!

All cuts are Cricut , the flowers are from Flower Shoppe, the fern type leaves are from Dinosaur Tracks and the others are from Heritage.

These were really fun and I love the little wreaths!  Thanks for stopping by and I hope you'll join us!

Sweet 16 "Photo Booth"

Well, it's here.....my first granddaughter is turning 16 today!  I'm so proud of her, yet really missing her as a toddler!  But we celebrated her birthday Sunday and just for fun, I made a car to use as a photo booth.

The car is from Cricut's Beep Beep cartridge and is cut about 3 1/2 feet tall.  I've added foam board to the back to firm it up and two yardsticks to stand it up.

We had a lot of fun with it.  She had her picture taken with everyone except me.  (sigh) Isn't that the way it goes? The one behind the camera seldom gets in front of it! :)
With little sister Lexi and little brother Wyatt.

With her mom, my daughter Jennifer.

With her Pa (my husband who loves getting his pic taken.....NOT!)

Her Papa

You can see that Wyatt  wouldn't get out of the car!
And with her G.G.  Wyatt is still "in the car", he just didn't get up into the picture.

Lots of fun!  Thanks for stopping by.  I'm off to work and then taking her to her driver's test!

Silly Rabbit Frame

Hello again!  I'm late on another post, but at least I'm posting again!  Saturday started a new challenge at My Sheri Crafts.  This week we were challenged to Use Lace.

I made a frame for Easter:

All cuts and fonts are Cricut cuts.  The "Silly Rabbit" font is Baby Steps and the "Easter" & "Jesus" font is Elegant Cake, Plain.

I hope you like my frame and I thank you for stopping by!  Have a great week, but be sure to join us at My Sheri Crafts for lots of fun!  You just might be one of our Guest Designers!

Merry & Bright Shadowbox

This is my first shadowbox project and I love it!  I think I'm hooked!  I had actually made this one before the one I made for the My Sheri Crafts post, but had left it in "Draft" status.

The holly leaves are just paper, but they really look like I've stuffed the box with them.  I bought these cute little "bulbs" at the Dollar General.  The font is "Elegant Cake" with some swirls welded to it.  All swirls and flourishes are Cricut cuts.  That's it!  Super simple, but sweet!

Thanks for stopping by!

Jingle All The Way Shadowbox

I am in the middle of packing up my whole house and moving!  My whole craft room is in cardboard boxes and I'm having such severe withdrawal that I forgot to make my last post for My Sheri Crafts!  This was due up Saturday, the 2nd!

This time our challenge theme is "Let's Build a Snowman - include a snowman in your project".  I've seen lots of these "Jingle All The Way" shadowboxes and decided to make one of my own.

I used "Precious" font and some snowflake cuts from Cricut.  My snowmen are on the cute background paper.  I've filled the shadowbox with various sizes and colors of jinglebells.  I love the way it turned out!

Sorry I'm so late with my post, and I'll be back with a new project as soon as I can get my craftroom moved and set up!

A Couple More Candles

These candles are some I made for Chrstimas gifts for a couple of my co-workers last year.  Again, I just found the posts left in "draft" status!

Another Candle!

Looking through my post list, I've found a few drafts that I've never finished.  Here is the first one.  I love making these candles and am getting ready to make more for Christmas gifts.  I LOVE the colors in this one!

I made it for a friend's birthday and here is the gift bag I made to go with it.

The "Celebrate" is a sticker that just matched this paper really well.  Very simple, but super fun!

Thanks for checking in with me!

Thanksgiving Diorama 2015

It's time for a new challenge over at My Sheri Crafts and it's gonna' be another fun one!!!!  Sheri has challenged us this week to "Include a Tag Shaped Item in Your Project."  The past few years I've made a diorama at Thanksgiving and Christmas, so I thought this was the perfect time to make one for Thanksgiving.

I just love these swirly cuts from Phrases and Celebrate with Flourish from Cricut!  The leaves are also Cricut cuts from Flower Shoppe.  The tags are a Cricut cut also, but now I can't find them in the subscription search to let you know which cartridge. I guess I was lucky to find them in the first place!

The gold ribbon came from Wal-Mart.  I've had it for a LONG time!

After lots of inking, gluing and other fun stuff, voila'! I love it!

I had lots of messy fun inking these tiny little leaves, but I really wanted them to be multi-colored like most of the real ones.  I like how they turned out!

I hope you'll join us this week at My Sheri Crafts!  See you there!

I finally have time to enter a few challenges this week:

Always Believe frame

Hello and Happy Weekend!  Today I get to play hostess at My Sheri Crafts and choose the challenge theme.  I went for "Show Me Your Decor"!  Any theme, any season, just NO cards this time around!

I made another "floating frame" with a shadow cut from Cricut's "A Child's Year" cartridge and some Paper Studio flowers.

This frame will be donated to the Missouri General Federated Women's Club for a fund raising raffle.  I've used this sentiment before, but I just REALLY like it!

Be sure to stop by and check out the awesome inspiration projects over at My Sheri Crafts.  The team has made some beautiful things!!!!

Patriotic Lantern

It's time for another fun challenge at My Sheri Crafts and Glenda has chosen "Happy 4th of July - Make a Patriotic card or project".  I used a Silhouette cut file to make a fun lantern

I used fiber twine to make a "chain" and ribbon to cover the top and bottom.

I used some of the extra stars to hand down inside the lantern.  It really needs something else, but I just don't know what to do yet.  I'll keep studying on that!  Meanwhile, you head on over to My Sheri and check out the rest of the teams great projects!

A Roping Prize Framed Up

This week at My Sheri Crafts our challenge is to "Make a Masculine Card or Project".  I had a couple of pictures of Tim with his jacket he won at a roping a few years ago, so I fixed them up in a frame.

The little lasso is a sticker and the "Team Roping" at the bottom is a cut file I made from free clip art I imported in the Silhouette software.  I cut it from vinyl and put it on top of the glass.  Now I wish I had put it across the middle, where the two picture come together and put the lasso at the bottom.  Oh well..........!

I hope you'll join us at  My Sheri Crafts with your project!

God Bless America Floating Frame

This week at The Outlawz Twisted Thursday we are sponsored by the fantastic  Sponsor Stitchy Bear

As always our theme is "Anything Goes with a Twist" and this week the twist is Music Inspired.
My project is inspired by the song "God Bless America" and I've used our sponsor's digi "Flag Girl"
in making a "Floating Frame".

The frame sentiment is cut from Cricut's |Stand and Salute cartridge, the background paper is a sheet of flag stationery.  I added some neat ribbon and some old earrings.  The picture is my dad in his WWII Navy uniform.
I'm really going to enjoy hanging this one up this year as we celebrate our nation's freedom and my dad's contribution to it!

Come on over and join us this week!

An Autumn Bulletin Board

Fall and Spring are my favorite two seasons.  I love the smell of spring and all the green coming back, but I REALLY love Fall!  The fantastic colors, the crisp air, cool evenings.  God really blessed us with a beautiful creation to enjoy!

I work at our church and one of my responsibilities is to collaborate with another secretary and keep our bulletin boards decorated.  This is our Fall board and it's a perfect match for the new challenge at My Sheri Crafts!  Marge hosted this challenge and gave us the theme "Autumn Abundance - Use Fall items that are seen in abundance, like leaves, acorns, fruits, pumpkins, gourds, etc."  Well, I think I've got that covered here!

Isn't that colorful!  I love that tree!  I have to give full credit to Tammy for that part!  The Cricut cartridges used on this project were Disney Classics, Create a Critter and I honestly can't remember what the grass cut is from.  I did that back in the spring, but I've used that cut several times.

I just love those cute Chip & Dale and Jimminy Cricket cuts!  This was a really fun board!

So, grab some paper and get creating!  Hope to see you over at My Sheri Crafts!
