Made It In Minutes Easter Card

Hi folks!  Today is a new challenge day at My Sheri Crafts!    This week our theme is make a card to celebrate Easter and it must feature either a Cross, a Bunny or Eggs.  Super easy and fun!

I made this card, literally, in minutes.  Like 10 of 'em!  I usually labor over a card, sometimes an hour!  But I was running close on time and wanted a CAS card anyway.

I used a premade lavendar 5x7 card base and added a 4 1/2 x 6 1/2 piece of this sweet paper from The Paper Studio.  Both cuts are from the Easter 2010 Cricut cartridge and added a Primo flower.  That's it!  It's very simple, but it looks really cute.  The picture really doesn't do it justice, but hop on over to My Sheri Crafts and see what the other girls have created.  They're awesome!

Thanks for coming by!

Baby Congrats Easel Card

It's Thursday and that means a new challenge at The Outlawz Twisted Thursday!  We are sponsored this week by
https://www.etsy.com/uk/shop/LeeHIllustrations

Challenges in our Twisted Thursday group are always Anything Goes with an Optional twist!  This week the twist is "Make an Easel Card".

Lee generously gave us this digi to used and I made a card for my niece:

I wanted the teddy bear to look fuzzy, so I used the "dot"technique with Spectrum Noir markers.

The scalloped oval is a cut from the Cricut Easter 2010 cartridge, then the other ovals were cut with  the Creative Memories system.  The airplane and banner are from the "New Arrival" cartridge and the sentiment stamp is from Pink By Design.  I love that stamp because it's a pretty script and small enough for these little cuts.

Do you ever find that you've bought something you were just sure you would use a lot, so you bought several colors of it?  Well, several years ago those little safety pins in white, pink, blue, green and yellow......this is the first time I've used any of them!   Oh well.....I've got 'em if I need 'em!

Anyway, come on over to The Outlawz and see all the great inspiration from the other Designers and join us for a chance at some great prizes!

Cute & CAS Easter cards

HI!  I just want to share a couple of cute and simple Easter cards I made the other night.  They literally just took minutes to do but turned out pretty cute (in my opinion).  All the cuts are from the Easter 2010 cartridge and created/welded with my Gypsy.

How much simpler can you get than a cute bunny cut from glitter paper?

I've entered this card at
Bitten By the Bug2 - Easter projects
Die Cuttin' Divas - tic tac toe (bunny or chic, glitter, shaped card)

I've always liked this egg cut.  This time I didn't use any glitter paper, but  added glitter to the cut out areas.

The sparkle shows up a little bit better in this pic.

The inside stamp on both cards is one I've had for years and bought from LTD Commodities.

That's it!  They were really fun and I'm thinking my grandkids will like them.  I sure hope so anyway!  :-)  Thanks for stopping by!

Easter "Tree" Centerpiece

Hi!  I'm glad you're here!  I have a fun Easter centerpiece to share with you today.  It's my turn to hostess the challenge at My Sheri Crafts this time and I chose "Anything but a card celebrating Easter".

All cuts are from Easter 2010 cartridge.  This was really easy and fun to do!    I had made several Spring centerpieces for the District Convention so I took one and changed out the items I hung on it.  These are really versatile!  Here's the original spring centerpiece with kites, pinwheels and flowers:

Easy to change over for Easter and I think I can use it for summer too!  FUN!

So now, get creative and come join us at My Sheri Crafts!  See you there!

Bunny Head Shaped Easter Card

Happy Easter Bloggies!

I have my final Easter Card to share with you today!  I finished it a few days ago, but just now getting it posted.  This one is for the 3 year old and I think it's just a fun one!

I cut the bunny head with Easter 2010  at 4 1/4 tall.  I hid the face features because I wanted to use my Peachy Keen face stamp.  But after cutting it, I realized the stamp set I have is too small, so I attempted to draw the face myself.  It's not as cute as the stamps, but it will work!  I covered it with clear crystal embossing powder that I've had a long time and seldom use;
   made my own wobble spring;
And cut the sentiment also from Easter 2010.

Super fun and super simple!
Thanks for stopping in!

My Sheri Craft #107 - Spring Has Sprung!

Welcome Spring!  I love this season!  At My Sheri Crafts we are celebrating Spring, so we were asked to "Create a card/project that says "spring" to you (i.e. flowers, sunshine, green grass, etc.)"  Now my first picture is definitely not a Spring item, but here's my story.  I had my Snowman collection out after Christmas and finally got it put away in early March.  I don't know about you, but every time, and I do mean EVERY time, that I put a collection away I find something I've missed a day to two later.  Well this year it was this little snowman spade:

I thought about taking it down to the basement, untaping the box and putting it away.  But then I decided the back side of it could be a Spring spade.

Recently, I was given a bunch of vinyl scraps and I thought this was the perfect time to use some of it.

I covered the spade with white vinyl, then used cuts from Easter 2010 and Stretch Your Imagination to make this little spring scene.  I also added a few butterfly and ladybug stickers from my stash.

It's nothing fancy, but it was fun to make and I like the result.  I hope you'll join us with your Spring Celebration creation!

See you again soon!

My Sheri Crafts Challenge - Easter!

Hi Bloggies!  It's feeling like spring here in the Ozarks and I love it!  I hope your weather is beautiful, too.

It's time for an Easter challenge at My Sheri Crafts.  I made a fun little card:

Looks like the Easter Bunny is peeking in on his secret stash in the bunny hole! :-)

The bunny is cut from the Cricut Spring 2010 cart., then I added a little lavender ink sponged around the edges.  The lace trims are a gift from a fellow MSC teamie.
This basket is a sticker I found on clearance at Joanne's after Valentine's Day and it originally had a red heart in it.  I just pulled that out, punched a few ovals with a hole punch and glued them in.  Voila'!  Now it's an Easter Basket instead of a Valentine Basket!  The stamp is from a set I bought from LTD Commodities years ago.
Did you notice anything goofy about my patterned paper?  If you did, well, what's a girl to do after you've already glued it down?  If you didn't, I'm not tellin'!

Now it's your turn!  Head over to My Sheri Crafts and check out all the cute, fun team inspiration and then join us!  See if you can get yourself the new "Ooh-la-la" button or a Guest Designer spot!  Thanks for stopping by!

Easter Bunny Card

Hello!  I hope you have had a great weekend.  The weather is beautiful here and spent most of Saturday outside!  My new skin tone shows it, too! :-)

Today I have one more Easter card and envelope to share.

The bunnies are cut from Easter 2010 and the sentiment piece is edged with a Martha Stewart punch.  The patterned paper is from Paper Studio.
The stitched ribbon is from Wal-Mart and I did some faux stitching to match it.
The envelope is decorated very simply with a small strip of the paper and the butterflies cut out with the edger punch.
This little stamp is actually the bottom of the sentiment stamp.  I only inked up the top part for the sentiment.  This stamp was part of a holiday set I ordered from LTD Commodities a few years ago.  I used it on three envelopes and kept getting it crooked.  Finally I really looked at the stamp and realised it was mounted crooked on the wood block!

My camera is back to taking some funky pictures!  Can anyone give me some ideas as to why it would take pictures like these?

This happened before and lasted a couple of days, then it just quit and went back to taking beautiful pictures.  I have restored all settings to factory settings, changed out the batteries and tried a couple of different colored backgrounds.  What else could be the problem?????
If you have any ideas on that, I'd like to hear them.

Thanks for stopping by---I appreciate you so much

It's Challenge Time Again At My Sheri Crafts!

Hello again and Happy St.  Patrick's Day!  I hope you are having a fun and crafty weekend.  It's time for a new challenge at My Sheri Crafts today.  Easter is coming and this week we are asking you to create a card or project with spring's gorgeous pastels.  You also need to be sure to check out the blog post to help us welcome (back) our new Design Team Member!!

 Here is my card:

The card base is cut at 5 1/2 x 6 from lavendar cardstock and that cute patterened paper is from The Paper Studio.  The egg cut is from Easter 2010 cartridge, cut at 4".  I used a light blue glitter paper from Colorbok for the top layer and cut a small scrap of light pink to back the flower cut.  You might notice that I used the same glitter paper on my previous post---I LOVE that color! :)

Isn't that a pretty cut?

The sentiment is cut from Holiday cakes at 1"

I used pop dots behind the cuts and added a yellow bow from my stash and a pink button from Wal-Mart.  You can see that I finished the inside with a piece of the pink cardstock and a strip of the patterned paper.
I love these colors and am happy with the finished card.  I hope you enjoy it and find some inspiration from it.  Now pull out all those pretty pastels and join us at My Sheri Crafts!  You just might be our next Guest Designer or win an "Ooh La La" award!

This card is also entered here:

Do You Stack Up - Use your Favorite Color (light blue on egg)

I Love The Colors of Spring!

Happy Friday!  I hope you are having weather as beautiful as we are here!  It's a sunny 76 degrees in SW Missouri and I'm about to go out and finish mowing my yard!  But first, I have an Easter card I want to share with you.  I love the colors of spring and have made a few projects already with these pastels.

This card is 5 1/2 x 6, cut from Nana's Kids paper stack.  The chick, scalloped egg and sentiment are cut from Easter 2010; the umbrella and boots are from Create a Critter.

The blue glitter paper is from Colorbok and I used my I-Rock to add pink metal glitter brads from Imaginisce.  I just love that shade of blue!
The edges are inked with a Violet ink pad and I did a little doodling with a violet marker.

This corner punch has no name on it!  The only information on it is "Made in China" and "Not for children under 5".  :-)  I think maybe I ordered it from LTD Commodities.

As you can see here, I pop-dotted the chick and finished out the inside with a strip of the patterned cardstock and of pink cardstock.  All the paper used on this card are scrap pieces!

Thanks for stopping by and I hope you have a fun, creative weekend!

This card will be entered here:
Bitten By The Bug 2 - bunny or chick
Celebrate the Occasion - Any occasion, must use metal (metal brads)
Do You Stack Up - favorite color (light blue on egg)
Polka Doodles - Animal or bird

Easter Chicks

I was invited to make something to join in a blog hop at The Crafting Misfit this week.  Thank you for the honor!  The requirement is to use a techinique that is new to us.  I decided to make a flower that I've not tried before.  This type of flower is made by just folding circles.

Here is the flower.  It was really simple to make and came out cute!

and here is the same card in orange and the flower is made by folding the same green paper but using the opposite side.

The printed paper is Martha Stewart and is 8x8.  I simply folded the page in half to make the card 4x8.  The "Happy Easter" and the chicks are from Easter 2010; the 5 circles for the flower are cut from George & Basic Shapes at 1"; "Chickie" is cut from Plantin School Book and welded on my Gypsy.  Thanks for stopping by!

I'll be entering this card in the following challenges:
