Uh-Oh!! I'm late with this post!  It's time for a new challenge at The Outlawz Anything Goes in a Card Free Zone.  This month the optional theme is "It's a Digital World".

My project is a Christmas plaque with a digital Santa image.

I love the old fashioned Santa images!

This plaque was one I picked up at a yard sale and gave it a white wash effect coat of paint. The little black tag and the phrase I cut with my Cricut. Then added a little greenery, berries and pinecones from my stash.

Thanks for stopping by and I hope you'll join us over at The Outlawz!  We have new challenges almost every day of the week and the Card Free Zone is once a month.  See you there!

Now that should help you get into the Christmas Spirit!

Here's what I've done with it:

I think I've mentioned before that I LOVE the writing feature of the Cricut!  The red and white piece is also a print pattern from Cricut.

Thanks for stopping by and I hope you'll join us this week.  It's time to get those Christmas cards ready to go!!!

One Happy Reindeer Card

Time for another challenge at Tuesday Throwdown!  This week we are sponsored by our very own Kim Sherrod!  Our theme is "Make An Interactive Card".   This is a new one for me, so I was truly challenged!  But I had so much fun!

I used a great video from Lawn Fawn here to make this card.

Isn't that cute?!?!  The little reindeer is from My Grafico and I had him in my file of pictures I had previously colored and ready to go.  The cute trees are Cricut cuts from "Create A Critter".

And he's so excited about getting to lead the sleigh, he jumps and spins all around!

After taking pictures of the card I decided it just really needed something else.  I played with lace, with ribbon and finally found these sweet snowflake rhinestones from Darice in my stash.  Voila'!

I love it now!  Just the touch I needed!  And I made sure Rudolph could still jump and spin all around with no problem.

Thanks for stopping by and be sure to join in this one, it's really fun!

I haven't joined any challenges for awhile, so decided I'd enter this little guy here:

Aud Sentiments - anything goes with a sentiment
Crafting By Designs - Get ready for Christmas
The Crafter's Cafe - for a child
Whoopsi Daisy - anything goes with option of hand colored image.

A cute Owl Christmas

Good Morning!  Today we have a new challenge at Tuesday Throwdown with the theme "Ribbons and/or Lace"  and our super sponsor this week is

 https://www.etsy.com/shop/KittyBeeDesign
I've used their image "Santa Owl" for my card.

I've colored the image with Spectrum Noir markers, cut it out with a Spellbinders die and mounted it on another Spellbinders die of gold foil cardstock.  The background paper is a beautiful freebie from the Cardmaking and Papercraft magazine and the centers of the flowers are also gold foil.  I added a strip of lace and ribbon with a ribbon bow and another bow of gold filigree thread.

The inside sentiment is done with the Cricut write then cut feature:

Thanks for checking in!

Clean and Simple at Tuesday Throwdown

This week's challenge at Tuesday Throwdown is sponsored by
http://lacysunshine.weebly.com/ and our theme is Clean & Simple.

I've used an image from our sponsor for my card:

I really intended to use white glitter on the snow, but when I sprinkled it on, I realized it was white embossing powder!  Oh well, I liked how it turned out, so it was a happy accident!  I used a scrap piece of blue glitter cardstock for the snowflake, which is a Cricut cut.

I hope you will come on over and join us!

I have entered this card here:

Accidentally Tried a New Technique!

So I was using the sweet freebie from the Freebie Progressive Challenge over at The Outlawz to make this easel card.  I thought I would stamp the sentiment on a red die cut I've had in my "leftover" stash for awhile and I used white chalk ink.  It really didn't show up so I re-inked my stamp with black and stamped it again.  I didn't see it at first, but then I realized I had made kind of a shadow stamp with the white!  You can just barely see it in this picture, it mostly shows up by the flourish at the bottom:

Here is my card:

The beautiful paper and the outside stamp are freebies from Cardmaking and Paper Crafts magazine.  The inside stamp is from Touche'.  I just LOVE freebies, don't you?

Thanks for stopping by!

Sending Christmas Wishes

I had some time to play with the cute image I got from the Freebie Progressive challenge over at The Outlawz this month.  I have had it colored for a little while but just got my card made and posted to the challenge in the nick of time!  The cute image is from Di's Digis.

I've colored the image with Spectrum Noir markers and added Buffalo Snow for dimensional snow and glitter on the little mouse's Santa hat.

I really did get this done in time for the November challenge, but every time I tried to upload my images, my computer would just wink at me at sit there!  Here it is a week later and finally SUCCESS!

Snowmen Tag

Hello!  I hope you had a wonderful and blessed Thanksgiving!  There is always something to be thankful for!  Today I am thankful for a new, fun challenge at Tuesday Throwdown.  We are sponsored this week by the awesome  and our theme is "Make a Tag"

I used the cute "4 Snowmen Tag" from Bugaboo:
I found a tag diecut that I had left from a previous project, which is a Cricut cut from Tags, Bags, Boxes and More, a scrap of Christmas paper, a fun candy cane brad and some cute ribbon.  Oh, there's a paper doily in there, too.  I love using up scraps!  (Cause I have way too much of them crammed here and there!)

Thanks for stopping by and I hope to see you over at Tuesday Throwdown!

Super Quick and Easy Christmas Card!

Welcome to my blog today!  It's time for a new challenge at My Sheri Crafts and Sue has challenged us to create something for Christmas with at least 3 embellishments.  I've made this super cute and easy card with the Cricut "Christmas Cards" cartridge.

It was so easy to make and I was able to use all scraps for it.  My embellishments are 3 rhinestones, 1 ribbon and bordering with a silver gel pen.  This was so fun I think I'm going to try some more with other papers!

Thanks for stopping by and now please head over to My Sheri Crafts and check out all the other great projects and join us!

Merry & Bright Shadowbox

This is my first shadowbox project and I love it!  I think I'm hooked!  I had actually made this one before the one I made for the My Sheri Crafts post, but had left it in "Draft" status.

The holly leaves are just paper, but they really look like I've stuffed the box with them.  I bought these cute little "bulbs" at the Dollar General.  The font is "Elegant Cake" with some swirls welded to it.  All swirls and flourishes are Cricut cuts.  That's it!  Super simple, but sweet!

Thanks for stopping by!

Jingle All The Way Shadowbox

I am in the middle of packing up my whole house and moving!  My whole craft room is in cardboard boxes and I'm having such severe withdrawal that I forgot to make my last post for My Sheri Crafts!  This was due up Saturday, the 2nd!

This time our challenge theme is "Let's Build a Snowman - include a snowman in your project".  I've seen lots of these "Jingle All The Way" shadowboxes and decided to make one of my own.

I used "Precious" font and some snowflake cuts from Cricut.  My snowmen are on the cute background paper.  I've filled the shadowbox with various sizes and colors of jinglebells.  I love the way it turned out!

Sorry I'm so late with my post, and I'll be back with a new project as soon as I can get my craftroom moved and set up!

Cute & Cuddely Tuesday

Good morning!  It's Team A's turn again at Tuesday Throwdown and we're getting "Cute And Cuddely"!  Our sponsor is
                                                           http://www.mygrafico.com/digital-stamps/cat_95.html

They've provided us cute penguin digis to use this week and I've combined 2 of them:

I love penguins!  Have I mentioned that before on this blog?  *grin*  I've colored these with Spectrum Noir markers and mounted them on a beautiful piece of paper that came with an issue of Cardmaking & Papercrafting Magazine.  Gotta love freebies!!!

I tried to show the little bit of shimmer in the paper, but it doesn't really show up.  Even though the paper really didn't need any embellishing, I added 3 sequins and the strip of silver ribbon just because I couldn't help myself.

Please stop by Tuesday Throwdown to check out all the CUTE inspiration there and join us!  See you there!

Getting In The Christmas Spirit!

Hello!  I hope you had a good Thanksgiving and aren't still feeling too full!  If so, it's time to get into your craft room and exercise......your creativity!

This week at My Sheri Crafts, Sandy has asked us to show a little Christmas spirit with "Old Fashioned/Vintage Christmas Cards or Projects".  Well, what's more old fashioned than a sleigh ride "in a one horse, open sleigh"?
The image is a cut file from Cricut's Christmas Cards cartridge and I welded a square around it to frame the block.  The snowflakes are all cuts from various Cricut cartridges and the one in the tree is the inside of one of the others.   Inside I sprayed just a quick squirt of frost, hoping it would look like snow.  I don't really like how that turned out, but I guess it's not too bad.   I've added some navy blue vellum paper to hide he cord.

To add some "feet" to the block and give room for the cord I glued on some empty tape rolls from my ATG gun!
Here is it lit up, before I added the "feet".

I hope you'll come over and check out all the other beautiful inspiration and join in the fun!

My First Foiling Project!

Hello!  I'm so excited to share this card with you today!  A few months ago I found some foil sheets on clearance so I picked them up.  I didn't know what I was going to do with them, but hey, they were on clearance!  So this week I got out my Your Story machine {also found on clearance at Wal-Mart  :) } and used the laminating feature to try foiling a digi stamp.  It worked!!!!  I'm seeing lots of potential here!!!

I then cut "Merry Christmas" from my Cricut DS subscription and foiled that, too.  I added a few drops of glue here and there and sprinkled some white glitter over them to make it look like snow.  The white snowflake button has been in my stash awhile.  I think it's from The Paper Studio, but not sure.

This card is for this weeks challenge at Tuesday Throwdown.  We are sponsored by
                       http://www.drsdesigns.com/
and this is their digi image.  Our challenge this week is the always fun Tic-Tac-Toe.   I used the middle row across.  And by the way, the dark blue frame is the negative left after I cut out a Spellbinders scalloped oval!

I hope you'll join us this week, but be sure to go checkout all the great inspiration of the rest of the team this week!

Thanks for stopping by!

And our challenge this week is our usual "Anything Goes, with a Twist and the Twist is.......Anything Goes!!!"  That's right, it is TOTALLY anything goes!
The image is mounted on a Spellbinder's die and all the papers are scraps from my stash!  The poinsettia is one I had cut a couple of months ago and had left over.  I believe it's a Sillouhette cut.

Baby It's Cold!

Baby it IS cold outside!  I'm so thankful for a nice, wam house!
But it's time for a new challenge at Twisted Thursday  at The Outlawz!

This month we are sponsored by :  http://www.etsy.com/shop/annesdigitalart

And our challenge this week is our usual "Anything Goes, with a Twist and the Twist is First Day of Winter!"

Winter = cold in my mind, hence my card:
I love this red, embossed foil paper!  I bought a bag of "paper scraps" from The Paper Studio several years ago and I've used some of this red just about every Christmas.  The poinsettia cut is from the "Cricut Seasonal Cartridge "Christmas".  I typed the sentiment on my computer and cut it out with a Spellbinders die.

The first sentiment is  Stampin' Up stamp, the second is a Stampabilites stamp.

I appreciate you stopping by today and I hope you'll join us at The Outlawz!

I haven't been joining in other challenges much lately, so I'm joining up this time at these challenges:

A Random Fan - anything goes
Catch The bug Stella Says Sketch #221
Die Cuttin' Divas - Christmas Carol inspired - my song isn't really a Christmas carol, but you only hear it at Christmastime!  Hope that counts!

I've used CraftyGirl's "Stocking with Doodles" for my card:
I used my Glitter Gel Pens again for this one to add a little sparkle.

I printed two of them and popped it up.  The 'Merry Christmas' is a Cricut cut.  I added a second shadow cut to it.

This is a super easy theme, so we ought to be seeing a lot of you there!  Have fun!

Let It Snow Card

Hello all!  Are you ready for another Twisted Thursday challenge at The Outlawz!  I hope so 'cause here we go!

This month we are sponsored by :  http://www.etsy.com/shop/annesdigitalart

And our challenge this week is our usual "Anything Goes, with a Twist and the Twist is Fun in the Snow!"

I've used this sweet digi from Anne's Digital Art for my card:

I've kind of had fun this year adding some non-traditional colors to some of my cards and lots of sparkle!

This sentiment stamp is from Just Rite Stampers and I used some purple wire to make my jump ring.  A purple gem on the bow, then some little gems for "snowflakes" and there you have it.
