Family Pictures Layout

I found this post from 2 years ago that I had left sitting in Draft mode all this time! I thought it was time to get it shared!

Hello again!  Today I want to share a project I was actually hired to do!  There is a neat little store here in town owned by a friend of mine and she wants to showcase local work.  She is now selling my cards and asked me to make a couple of layouts for her. I'm still amazed that anyone would pay me to do this!  Ya gotta' love it!

I chose this K & Co. paper because it reminds me of old wallpaper.

This cut is from Home Accents and the lace is some gifted to me by a  Design Team friend over at My Sheri Crafts.

The flowers are a quilling die cut from Cuttlebug.  Very fun and easy to use and makes such a great flower!  I added a tiny pearl to the center of this one.

Pretty simple layout, but I feel like it came out well and Sherry loved it!

Family Campout

This week at The Outlawz Twisted Thursday, our twist is "Water Theme".   This gave me a great incentive to scrap a page of our family campout.

I used Cricut's "Life's A Beach" cartridge for most of the cuts.  The "Families are forever" is also a Cricut cut.  The background paper is part of a kit I bought years ago, from LTD I think.

I had trouble when I first laid this out, it just needed something and I couldn't figure out what.   I finally just glued it down and took pictures.   As  soon as I looked at the picture, I could see it.  This is the first pic:

Amazing what a difference it made to move a diecut over a few inches!

Hope to see you over at The Outlawz!

Kaylee's 8th Grade Graduation

We have a new challenge at My Sheri Crafts today and Glenda has challenged us with "It's Graduation Day - Make a graduation or school related card or project."  I made a layout of my granddaughter's 8th grade graduation (although the school now says we have to call it 'promotion' not graduation!).

Leaving Jr. High for the last time as an 8th grader

All cuts are from Cricut and I used black twine and gold twine on the banner.  Thanks for stopping by and checking out my project.  Come on over the My Sheri Crafts now and check out all the awesomeness there!

Star Accordion Mini Scrapbook

Hi!  It's time for a new challenge over at Tuesday Throwdown and this week we have a recipe challenge!  The recipe is 1 Image, 2 Papers and 3 Flowers.  We are sponsored by "A Day For Daisies" and I got to use this sweet image "A Gift From the Stars" and I made a mini album with the fun "Star Accordion" technique.  One of my friends bought one of these albums at a yard sale and gave it to me to "figure out how that was done and make one!"  :)  So I figured it out, made one, then looked through mini-album pictures until I found it so I knew what it was called!  The actual pattern uses 3  12x12 papers, but I only used 2 and made an album for a baby shower gift for my niece:

This is the view when you first open it up. You can only get 2 4x6 pictures on one side as the rest of the squares have a fold in them.  You could put smaller pictures on those if you wanted.

These two tags have been in my stash since I first started scrapping!

These two cute animals cuts are from Crictut's "New Arrival" cartridge

This is the view when you turn it over.  I wanted her to be able to add  a couple more 4x6 pictures.

This digi stamp is from Digi Darla.

The labels are preloaded cuts on the Cricut Imagine.  Papers are from "Nana's Kids,Baby Boy" paper pad.  The stamps are rubber stamps (on labels) are from Stampendous and Stampabilities.

Sorry this is such a picture heavy post, but there's a lot to look at! We are having a "Scrapbook Baby Shower" in a couple of weeks.  Emily isn't a big paper crafter, so we will be making layout pages for her so all she has to do is add pictures!  Now...shhhhh....no one tell her about this album yet!  :)

But DO head on over the Tuesday Throwdown and check out all the great inspiration there, then join in the fun!

You Make My Heart Smile - Popsicle Layout

I have a fun layout to share with you today.  It was fun to make, fun to look at and reminds me of a fun time with Wyatt!  I made this layout for our new challenge at My Sheri Crafts because our theme is "Food, Food and More Food! - Create any project that features any type of food cuts or embellishments."  Popsicles are food, right?

The paper is from my stash, I don't know the company.   I made this sentiment with Nate's ABC's font, arranged and welded together on my Gypsy.  The "Smile" part is from Create a Critter. The large popsicles and the border cuts are from Doodle Charms, the other popsicle is from....hmmmm...I can't remember which cartridge!

I added a little "shine" mark on every popsicle in the border strips with a white gel pen.  If you notice that the pictures have a loose edge or they aren't pritned with very high quality, it's because I haven't ordered prints on these yet, so I just printed them off on my computer with white cardstock so I would have them for the pictures to post.  I used repositionable glue so I can easily remove them when I get the good prints.
A couple of closer pics.....

Thanks for stopping by today, I appreciate the visit!  Now head on over to My Sheri Crafts, check out all the great inspiration and then join us at MSC!

Back to School Layout - My Sheri Crafts

Hello All!  How's your weekend going?  I'm having my first weekend in a while with no major commitments, so I'm good!

It's time for another challenge at My Sheri Crafts and this week Glenda  challenged us to make a project with a back to school theme.  Include a school bus or school house if you can.

I made a layout for my daughter's first day of kindergarten, but so far I can't find the album that has her baby-early school pictures.  I don't know where I put it!  Anyway, the layout is ready when I find it!

The background paper has been in my box for a couple of years and I think it's from The Paper Studio? The schoolhouse and chalkboard have also been in my stash forever.  I used a Martha Stewart Punch Around the Page border punch and Doodle Charms for the buses.

I made the sentiment with Kate's ABC's and hand cut the green base.

That's it for today!  Be sure to head over to My Sheri Crafts to check out all the great inspiration from the rest of the team and join us!  Thanks for stopping in today, I appreciate your visit!

My Sheri Crafts #92

Welcome to a new challenge at My Sheri Crafts!  This week we are welcoming kids and teachers Back To School.  Create any project related to a school theme.  I had some pictures of Grandparent's Day that I had not scrapbooked yet so I decided now was a good time.

This fun background paper is from my stash and doesn't have a name on it.  I've been holding on to it for a long time.  With the paper being so busy, I didn't want to use very many embellishments.  So I just added a few coordinating stickers.

I found some cute border strips from Mrs. Grossman's Design Lines in my stash.  These strips look like the lined paper used to teach writing, so I wrote Lexi's name across it as if she were practicing.  I loved the crinkled look of the border, it reminds me of that crinkled border teachers use on their bulletin boards!

Notice the title block says "1st grade" ?  She started 6th grade this year!  I'm still just a little behind on my scrapbooking!

But now it's your turn to get your crafty cap on and show us your school related projects!  Maybe we will see you as our Guest Designer next week or you might get an "Ooh-la-la" button .  Be sure to stop by all the blogs of my Design Team sisters and see their fantastic projects.  Hope to see your projects linked up over at My Sheri Crafts!

Prince Charming Layout - My Sheri Crafts Challenge #89

Hello!  I hope you had a wonderful 4th Of July and are still having a fun and safe holiday weekend!  I'm glad you took a few minutes to stop by and visit!

Today we have another new and fun challenge at My Sheri Crafts.  It's "Picture This" and we are creating a card or project inspired by this picture:
Picture This!

Doesn't that picture just set your mind running with ideas?  Here is a layout I made:

I love the look of gingham checks!  They speak picnic, baby, springtime.....so many fun things!  But I decided it was time to get a start on layouts of my grandson.  I mean, he's 2 1/2 now and I haven't done even one!

These gingham papers are from Bo Bunny and The Paper Studio. The rick-rack ribbon is from Hobby Lobby and the rick-rack card stock border has been in my stash for years!

Both of my granddaughters have "princess" layouts, so naturally I needed a "prince" layout!   This cut is fromthe "B is For Boy" cartridge

This cute little elephant is from the "New Arrival" cartridge.  The fun dotted buttons have also been in my stash for a long time, but I think I got them at Hobby Lobby also.

So now it's time for you to look at the inspiration photo again and hop to it!  Be sure to check out all my Design Team sister's great work and let them know how much you love it!  I can't wait to see your creations!

Summer Gazebo Layout

Hello!!!!  We are lookin' for some Summer Lovin' over at My Sheri Crafts this week!  Create a project with a summer theme...cards, layouts, altered project, etc.

I've been wanting to use the Gazebo cut on the Freshly Picked cartridge so I decided this was the perfect time!  The background paper is from Karen Foster Designs and the paper used for the mats is from Paper Pizazz.

The border is made by welding two gates and two fences from this same cartridge.  I just love this gazebo!  The hardest part of the whole project was getting the vines cut!  I cut two sets in the light green and one set in the dark green and 4 sets of the flowers.  I added a pink dot in the center of each flower with a pink gel pen.

The borders on the photo mats are a Fiskars punch--one of my favs!

I didn't have any pictures printed to use in this layout, so I decided to leave the title mat blank for now.  The mat is an Imagine pre-loaded cut.  As you can see, I used the extra flowers to embellish the mats and just here and there!

I hope you like the layout, please tell me what you think of it!  And then get to your craft area and let's see your summer project!  You also need to check out all the things created by my Design Team Sisters and our Guest Designer, Barb of Bug Bites.  They all do such beautiful work, you're sure to find some inspiration from them!  Don't forget to have fun with it!

I hope you have a blessed week and come back and see me again soon!

Wyatt's 1st B-day layout

Hello!  I hope you are having a great weekend.  I got to spend Friday night and Saturday at a crop here in town and it was a blast!!!  So relaxing and productive!  First I'm showing a layout I did of Wyatt's first birthday.  The original post of birthday decorations pictures is here,  I used the decorations to embellish the layout pages.
Mickey was cut with the "Fit to Page option.  He was used to "hold" one end of the birthday banner.

"Wyatt is 1" was cut with Pooh Font set.  The border was made with the border feature on Mickey Mouse and Friends, cut 3 times and mounted on a simple red strip that was embossed with the Cuttlebug Circles folder. The background paper is from a disney paper & embellishment book.
Pluto had the other end of the banner tied to his tail!  He's also cut with the "fit to page" feature.

The rest of the characters were table decorations and cut at 4"  (I think).  Aren't they cute!?!
This sentiment stamp is from Pink by Design and I added some doodling around it.  These layouts were a lot of fun and went together pretty quickly since the decorations were already put together.  I've had them on my workdesk for a year, so it was time to get them in the book and off my desk!!!

Thanks for stopping in!  I hope you have a wonderful weekend and have spent some time with God today.
