My Sheri Crafts #110 3D flowers

Welcome to another Saturday challenge with My Sheri Crafts!  This week we are going 3D!  We were challenged by teammate P.G. Lamb to create a card/project featuring 3 dimensional flowers.

I used a digital flower file from Fred She Said to create my card.  I colored all layers (5 of them!) with Spectrum Noir pens, cut them out and connected them with a brad from my stash.  Then I curled the edges of each petal using a quilling tool.  It's matted on two Lacy Circles Spellbinders dies.  That fun burlap ribbon was in a basket full of ribbon I found at a garage sale!  The shiny pink came from Wal-Mart.

This sentiment stamp is from Just Rite, stamped on another Lacy Circle, matted on two Adorning Squares dies.  Can you tell I bought some new Spellbinders?  LOL!

This shot is just to show all the dimension of the card.  The paper is from Anna Griffin.

I hope you'll join in the fun at My Sheri Crafts and show me your flowers!  Be sure to check out all the team's great inspiration and leave them all some sweet comments!

Tuesday Throwdown Paper Piecing

Hello Blogland Friends!  It's Tuesday and that means we're throwing down another challenge at Tuesday Throwdown!  This week we are Paper Piecing and are sponsored by:
Fred, She Said Designs .... The Store
Tracy was sweet enough to let our Design Team A each choose one item from her store to use for this weeks challenge.  I LOVED looking through her store and finally settled on this flower, V6 Daisy, to make a sympathy card.

I matted the flower on a couple of ovals from Spellbinders fancy ovals die cuets.  The lace I've added is a gift from another DT Buddie.  I felt like it was just what this card needed!  I added a simple brown glitter brad.

Isn't that cool?!?  Just look at all this layering!  I had so much fun looking through her store.  There's a ton of great stuff there!  This flower pattern also has frame borders to match, but I didn't use them this time.  Be on the lookout for this flower again with the matching borders.

I added a sentiment stamp from Stampin' Up, then hand cut it and the mat for it.  The card base is cut to 5x7 from Anna Griffin paper.

The inside is finished out with some oatmeal colored paper on a Kraft paper mat.  I used a Martha Stewart corner punch and a stamp from Stampabilities.
Well, now it's your turn.  Show us your Paper Piecing projects and have fun!  Can't wait to see what you create!
